This is a safe location with lighting and many shoppers. There are also over 20 chargers at this location so even if it is a busy time you will likely not have to wait for long. I would recommend this location. Also there are 2 more Superchargers on the way to Lake Tahoe. One near highway 50 and the exit for Missouri Flat Rd and another one a bit further north in Placerville. Also I highly recommend you max your charge before leaving this area because once we got so caught up with sightseeing we n the mountains near Lake Tahoe that we forgot to charge!!!! There are less Superchargers once you are in the mountains. Luckily we found another supercharger near Donner Lake but barely made it.

For example, the shredded cheese comes in 2 smaller bags vs the competitor's giant size bags. They also carry a wider variety of items(candy, chips, snacks, clothing) that you can find at a regular retail grocery store. Interesting items I found: whole Mexican papayas, fresh coconut juice in the shell, freshly squeezed orange juice, meat pizza, delicious birthday cake with whipped icing, machine that gives out household samples to name a few. They were not able to get either working so I could charge. Beyond frustrating. I have never been able to get an EVGo charger to work without having to contact customer service (multiple locations) but this time they were unable to get it to work. So now I'm in the mountains having to find a different charger. If I didn't have a big credit for EVGo from my car it chase I would never consider using them!

I also had a rewards check I was planning on using. I didn't really need a cart for what I wanted to buy, but you know how it goes there. You always find something you didnt know you needed. So I actually stuck to my game plan, and got the three small things I needed. I then head to self check out, where I ring up all my items and then try to use my rewards check. An employee comes over and explains to me that I can only use the rewards check in regular check out, and not in self check out. Kind of a pain because this is not stated on the check itself, and the regular lines were much longer. So I get in the check out lane closest to the self check out area. Just my luck, I get stuck behind the only Costco customer in a decade that decided to pay for all his crap with cash. So I wait... When its finally my turn, I place my three items on the belt, and keep the cart on my side. When its my turn, this rude little employee with gauges in her ears and a profoundly terrible tattoo on her chest informs me that the cart needs to go on their side. Why? I have nothing bulky. Makes no sense. She informs me that the pathway between the regular check out lane and the self check out lane is too small, and people can't get by. As such, carts need to remain on their side. Yea, she needs thicker glasses. There was PLENTY of room for someone to get by, even if I keep my cart with me. Plus, this employee had plenty of time to inform me of this before I got to the front. She wasn't even the one doing the checking out. Not sure what her purpose was, actually. She didnt seem to be doing much of anything. Anyway, because of this illogical order, and her lack of observation/communication skills, everyone in line had to back their carts up so I could bring mine around to their side. A little communication and common sense goes a long way. It would have been nice if this employee exhibited either. Do better, Costco!

The selection of stores is plentiful but to my disappointment, there was no luxury brands here like the Livermore Outlet. Adidas and Vans has 40 + 50% off on select items. For front parking at the main entrance the outlet charges a fee however there is free parking outside the main entrance. It's a nice outlet to visit however I don't think I would come back because of the limited selection of luxury stores and the parking situation.
