Picking my kid up from school we walked past this restaurant and saw an outside sign that said " 50…read morecent wings." They had me at 50 cents!! I went inside and asked the host if she was allowed to come inside with me, she said " yes! From 2pm-9pm she's welcome." We went home got ready and headed right back out. When we got there she said " you can sit anywhere." For a person handling everything at the time and I mean bartending, waitressing and being the host, she did amazing! She did explain to us that although the wings were 50 Cents the minimum u can get is 5 or 6. We ordered Bbq wings, mozzarella sticks, french fries, and regular wings. Everything tasted delicious and cooked to perfection. We came out this place looking like we ate a whale lol. They have juice, soda, and water for beverages, as well as alcoholic drinks. If you're ever interested in going, I suggest looking up what dates they have live events because that stage screams " LIVE MUSIC EVENTS."

Luckily, a table reservation for our party of had been made so we were able to go right in. Having just come from dinner, we did not eat any food. Drinks were all that we had. Shortly after arriving, the tables disappeared and it got way more crowded & loud on this Saturday night. It was a fun bar with live music. We did dance albeit very closely together. It was a perfect vibe for our birthday girl!

Kinda wild that I didn't write a review the last time I was in this jazz joint…read more Last time I popped into the 2am show and it blew my sox off. I saw Miki Yamanaka randomly for the 1st time. But apparently i missed writing a review. Maybe because there are many glowing reviews already. But may I put my 5 star review on the pile. This time we caught the 2pm Sunday open jam. We were smartly near the front of the line so we got my favorite spot, right on the bar rail near the stage. The drinks were good and strong, the service was quick and succinct. The jam was incredible. I didn't know all the guys but the guy on drums is a legend named muppet. He held back on his solos on the first 2 songs. On the third, when the baton was passed to him, he ripped off an impressive solo that would be amazing for anyone, and he is 93. We had to dip out to catch our flight, but cant wait to stop in again next time.

This was our last stop during our must recent NYC trip. Were only able to stay for a an hour or…read moreso, because we had to run to the airport. Still, this was enough to get a good feel of what the club is all about. Just standing in line we got to talk to a musician, who had just played at another location, but told us the people playing there that day were amazing, including the 91-year-old drummer "Muppet". We went during the day so no cover charge, but think they do at later hours. We got some spots at the bar, knowing we would not be able to stay long. From any seat you are able to enjoy the whole atmosphere and set. They had one server and one bartender, and I honestly thought at first they would be scrambling with all the drink orders but the way they worked, quickly and still being personable with each guest was impressive. The band playing was great, we stayed a bit more than we should have because of how good they were. Very intimate, chill way to spend time enjoying live music. The only reason I took one star off is the restroom situation. I went down hoping I could use the facilities but the mold smell and other strong smell made me sick and I had to run out. Just make sure you go before you are inside or hold it. Apart from that, very intimate, chill way to spend time enjoying live music.

A Must-Visit NYC Gem: Incredible Music, Food, and Energy! If…read moreyou want the ultimate New York City night out, Prohibition is the place to be! We had an absolute blast from the moment we stepped inside. The whole experience--from the warm welcome at the door to the high-energy live music--was 10/10. The Food Experience: Truly Next Level The food here isn't just "bar snacks"--it's a full-on culinary experience. We tried several dishes and honestly, every single one was a hit: * Grandma's Sunday Sauce: This was the star of the show. It's pure comfort in a bowl and tastes like it's been simmering for days. * The Bacon: You can't go wrong here. It's perfectly prepared, smoky, and dangerously addictive. * The Burrata: So fresh and creamy--the perfect way to start the meal. * Crispy Shrimp: These had the perfect crunch and were packed with flavor. The Vibes & Service The host set the tone right away with a great welcome, and the service throughout the night was seamless. It's rare to find a spot that balances a sophisticated "speakeasy" atmosphere with such friendly, attentive staff. And of course, the music! The live band was electric and kept the energy high all night long. The "Roaring 20s" vibe is so well-done--it feels intimate but exciting at the same time. Final Verdict I would definitely suggest Prohibition to everyone! Whether you're a local or just visiting the city, this is the spot for great food, amazing service, and a vibe you won't find anywhere else. We'll definitely be back for more!

They had live music which was also so much fun! We sang along and enjoyed our drinks and food. My husband got the braised pork shank and I got the grandmas sauce pasta dish. DELICIOUS!! We had the lamb and burratta with truffle fries to share- also to die for. We ended the night with some espresso martinis for a sweet ending. Amazing food, great service and entertainment. Definitely will come back! Ask for Ty! Best server!!

There are live shows daily from 7 and 8:30pm with lines forming half an hour beforehand, so come early. Once inside, you're welcomed to this sexy and dark bar leading into the back room. There isn't really any bad seats in the house as it felt intimate. Before the show started, a waitress came around to take your drink orders and they were great about refilling drinks even throughout without disturbing anyone. The Jazz show was so impressive and such a vibe. It really brought you to another decade in New York. The cocktails were $20 each with mocktails being $16, which is pretty average for Manhattan. There's lots of Frank Sinatra inspiration on the menu, which fits the atmosphere here.

Of course the one time I went with my friend they didn't have any live jazz, but I'm wondering if that's the reason we were able to get a table as I've read other reviews saying this place often had a long line. Their cocktails are expensive, but strong and very creative. I got the Birth of the Cool, which had citrus vodka, grapefruit noice, elderflower liqueur and fresh lime juice. It was so tart and refreshing... but priced at a whopping $20 for that small glass. Whatever. We also got two Nutty Irishmen ($23), which had espresso, brandy, Bailey's, and hazelnut liqueur- super rich and very boozy indeed. Although cocktail prices are steep I would absolutely go back. It's a really cool spot.
