This is not my first visit, and it's always a good time here. I would say stick to drinks not food and the vibe ofc Bring out out of town guests here and highly recommend getting a reservation The best part - you can stay for as long as you want

Was on the hunt for live music following a concert in the area and Terra Blues was the No. 1 spot on the list! Terra Blues was a treat!! Vibey, dimly lit and perfect for a night that needs a night cap. Feels like you're stepping into a 1920's candlelit speakeasy walking in. Amazing live blues started at 10pm and they run 3 sets until 2am. We didn't close the place down but we enjoyed a good 3 rounds of old fashioneds before realizing we'd all checked in for our flights tomorrow and needed to leave. Whoops. A great place to get lost for a few hours. Awesome staff, great musicians, and impeccable vibes. Exquisitely clean inside as well. Give this place a try if you're on the hunt for good blues in Greenwich village and an expansive whiskey list!

This place was amazing' I came with a couple of my friends late on a Tuesday night like at midnight. The music was lovely and we got blue moons for $9 and they tasted very crisp. Service was amazing as well. It wasn't very busy there was like maybe 3 other groups there and it cleared out by 1 AM. They usually have cover to come as well. A perfect spot for a jazz lover!

Amazing! Randomly popped in on a visit to NYC with friends. Pleasantly surprised with the chill, relaxed vibes. Had a lovely blues band playing the entire time we were there. Ordered two reasonably priced and strong cocktails and enjoyed the show. Looked on their website and they have a live performer every night which is really cool. Will be coming back when I visit NYC

No food, just drinks--but you're really here for the music. The blues vibes at Terra Blues are ridiculously unique and soulful. Intimate setting, talented musicians, and that raw, nostalgic energy that hits you deep. A true NYC gem for live blues lovers

Yup. It's an amazing place. Really chill. amazing stage. Very frequent music throughout the week. Great staff members. Excellent ambiance. No cover. Delicious cocktails. I just wish they served food. Eat before you come here!

The waiter, an African American lady, was rude. It's the first time in many years that I've experienced discourteous service due to language barriers. I wouldn't recommend visiting this place, especially if you're not a native speaker At least a music band was excellent

The staff was incredibly gracious. The venue was warm, intimate and inviting. The music was authentic Blues Music. Just close your eyes and you're in The Mississip Delta.

The walls, low glow, curved little nooks and the tables, are packed close to the stage and give Django this moody, Gatsby feel. Hubs and I came on a Tuesday for the 7pm show to see our friend Abe Fogle and his jazz band- but he's also Rob Thomas' drummer. Since my summer break has basically left me open to go out on a weeknight, off we went. And what a show he and his band gave! The acoustics are great. What I loved was how close everything feels. The drums hit, the bass fills the room, then there's the piano, guitar, etc. And seeing someone we actually love up on this stage playing, was even better. Some housekeeping: there's a two drink minimum PER person: drinks are $20 a pop. Do the math. But I'll say this: my two drinks were POWERFUL. Hubs' two were powerful too. Food isn't required, but we wanted some bites. We ordered the crab cake which by itself, was delicious. You could actually taste the crab. But- as someone who doesn't eat tartar sauce, mayo, mustard or any other sauces like that, that creamy tartar/remoulade-type situation, I didn't like. It's not you. It's me. The ahi tuna tartare app was a total yes though. Django isn't really a "come here for dinner and somebody happens to be playing music" place. I mean....the music is the point.

We checked in for our 1015p reservation for the 1030p show. Apparently the show prior ran over and we were not seated until 11p. The band was a trio, bass, piano and drums. I hate to say that I was disappointed by the band as a whole. I liked each player separately but I didn't like the covers they were doing. I did enjoy the original songs without the singing (the singing didn't feel like jazz). I think we got a matter of 4 songs by the time everything was done. It was just nothing of what I was expecting in a jazz club, especially the club I remembered the first time I visited.

Let me be clear, the main redeeming aspect of this place is the talent on stage. The musicians were exceptional and deserved far better than the environment surrounding them. I ordered a scotch neat, something I'm very familiar with, and immediately knew something was off. When I politely flagged down a waiter, he responded with visible annoyance, as if I was inconveniencing him by being a paying customer. I explained the issue and simply asked if it could be checked or replaced. Instead of addressing it professionally, he walked away without a word, returned holding the bottle and my glass, and said, "this is what you were poured," before carelessly tossing the drink back onto the table. No apology. No explanation. Just attitude. It escalated from there. When I confronted him about his behavior, he denied it outright and then doubled down with an aggressive, confrontational stance, getting in my face and effectively threatening me. His exact words? "If I tossed your drink on the table, it would have been all over you!", and "Man, shut yo ass!" Completely unprofessional and unacceptable in any setting, let alone an establishment that positions itself as upscale. The manager's response was just as disappointing. Instead of addressing the behavior of his staff, he blamed me, asking why I "chased" the waiter and suggesting I should have gone directly to him. That's not how basic customer service works. I tried to resolve the issue directly, respectfully, and without escalation, something his employee clearly had no interest in. I was thinking if I talk to the waiter first, he wouldn't get in trouble with his manager. To make matters worse, the manager continued to defend the waiter rather than de-escalate the situation. At that point, it was clear this wasn't a one-off issue; it's a reflection of how this place operates. I paid my bill and left. For a venue that attracts world-class jazz talent, it's astonishing how low the standard of service is. This place is doing a disservice to the artists who perform there. I will never return, and I would strongly caution anyone expecting a professional, respectful experience to look elsewhere.
