It was my bridal shower and my sister surprised me with a blowout. We arrived around 11 AM and were able to find parking easily within the plaza. It was during the COVID-19 pandemic so they had to take our temperature before entering. I was greeted right away by my stylist, Lauren. She washed my hair, dried, and styled it beautifully. We did tight waves since I have long, thick hair and I wanted it to fall naturally throughout the day. She didn't use too much product but just enough so that it stayed. I got a lot of compliments about my hair throughout my bridal shower and gave me the confidence to make me feel really great. Lauren and I had a great conversation the entire time. I don't know what the prices are because because my sister treated me but I was very happy with this entire experience. In fact, for my rehearsal dinner we are going back to Charles David Salon in Pinehills for another blowout! I recommend this place for the ease, convenience, and talent. read more

This was my first visit to Charles David and I could not have been treated better. Kate gave me a partial foil, cut and dry and she was thorough, thoughtful, listened to everything I had to say, and took her time to get everything perfect (I am a picky customer.) The results of her foil work are tremendous - my hair looks natural, has dimension, feels soft and healthy, and her color choice is perfect. I absolutely love how it came out. After having a second appointment at this salon, I felt it necessary to note that I have been very impressed by how serious this salon has taken extraordinary precautions with respect to COVID! Kudos to the manager and all the staff. Customers are only allowed to bring in a cell phone and keys. Your temperature is taken before entering the salon. Then upon entering, you use a hand sanitizer. Masks are mandatory for staff and customers. I got my hair done yesterday at the Long Pond Road location and I just want to say that this is the third stylist I have seen at Charles David. I have had my hair done by Gabby, Christine, and Mel. They are all so friendly and talented. I am a really high risk clients due to heart issues and this is the only place I will ever go.. I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for a hair salon especially in these scary and uncertain times because they really did take such precautions and the entire place was sanitized. read more

Went there to get a balayage hair coloring and ended up having to return 3 times because they did a full foil twice and damaged my hair so bad. They wanted me to come back again so they can have the owner fix it but I refused by that time. However I did get my money back. read more

I've moved around from salons forever. I have thick, coarse, wavy hair and have always had it layered and thinned. Started with Karyn several months ago, she convinced me to grow out my layers. Great experience! All staff very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. It had been a long time since I had gotten my hair styled as I was nervous in the decrease in growth/volume of my hair. Gabby was exceptional! Educated me on each product she used in my hair, gave me great style recommendations for my hair type, and even curled it for me after my cut/blow dry as she knew I had plans later in the evening. I had the best experience at this salon! My daughter has been going there for awhile and told me about the salon. Her hair is gorgeous and she loves her stylist, Kelsey. Color- The stylist did not apply glaze after my highlights. However, once home the color and texture was off, so I assumed I should have glazed and scheduled that in with my next appt. Prior to glazing, the stylist clarified my hair. Long story short, I had major breakage around my face after that appt. and no assistance after walking in to advise of breakage, not even a phone call from the stylist! read more

Was a wedding guest for my friend's Plymouth wedding this past Saturday and had booked my hair and makeup here since so close to hotel I was staying at. I have a short pixie style which I find not all stylists can work with. She is excellent at what she does. I love how my hair turned out. READ THIS BEFORE YOU CHOOSE CHARLES DAVID I am a professional woman who throughout my life has frequented high end salons. I appreciate the service and am willing to pay top dollar for it. I had been a long time customer of Charles David for over a decade. Recently they refused me service because as the manager told me I also have other salons I like to frequent and if I'm not "All In" on Charles David, then I am not welcome to come back again. If you are like me, sometimes I need multiple options because not all salons can schedule me when I need it. So before you go ahead and choose this salon, keep in mind that unless you are ready to be a customer for life, do not do it unless you're willing to receive a nasty phone call from the manager like I did telling me I am not welcome there and to not to come back. Rest assured, I have lots of other high end salon options who seem to love their customers and I will be frequenting those locations again as I have a choice where to spend my hard earned dollars. read more

I'm not a person who writes reviews but I could not let this one go by. I am a customer of Charles David Salon located at Long Pond Road in Plymouth, MA. Today was my first time I had my hair colored and cut by "Laura" and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. I left the salon feeling like I had a complete makeover. The color is perfect and the cut is amazing. I now look and feel 10 years younger. I booked my next appointment before the styling was even finished. "Krissy" who works at the front desk cannot do enough for you. One day I telephoned after hours but did not leave a message. She retrieved my number from the ID and called to ask if I needed to schedule an appointment. Another time in the morning I bought a gift card with her over the phone and by the end of the day she called to tell me it had been mailed and I would have it soon. I did receive it along with a note thanking me for my purchase. This salon is tastefully decorated, clean and classy. Best of all, I find the people are professional and give exceptional outstanding customer service. If that isn't enough there are endless freshly baked chocolate chip cookies to look forward to. After being with the same stylist at a different salon for five years, I decided to try the place where my friends daughter works. I had an appointment with Kelsey and I am beyond thrilled with the color and cut she gave me! She was friendly and really listened to what I had to say and envisioned for my hair and she did not disappoint. Casey shines -- and then some. The Charles David Salon is clean, bright, filled with as much natural lighting as possible. Staff, from receptionists to stylists to those working in the shadows, were pleasant and not obsequious. Casey, my stylist was more than attentive (call her compulsive -- she does too), and I left with the first hair cut I've been pleased with in more than 20 years. I really do NOT like hair salons -- always feel out of place, kind of like I'm not living up the to the latest Vogue or Bazzar standards of what's in. Not so here. I felt appreciated for being there, cared for in a hospitable rather than "sales-y' way, and would definitely recommend the salon to anyone. OK. That said. Casey is amazing. Just absolutely amazing. She knows her stuff in and out and can answer questions I have without making me seem stupid. This salon is a 40 minute drive from my home.
