Stopped into Lefty's West End Tavern for lunch before a concert and had a solid overall experience. The location and atmosphere are a big draw. Right by Fluor Field with a fun, lively vibe. We sat outside, which was clean, comfortable, and a great spot to hang out before an event. Service was fantastic. David, our server, was friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable, and really helped elevate the experience. For food, we started with the wings (dry rub and Jamaican jerk). The flavors were decent, but the wings themselves were rubbery and a bit underwhelming, especially considering the price point. One standout though... the ranch dressing. Easily some of the best I've had. The breakfast tacos were good overall, and the chimichurri was fresh and flavorful. I think adding a creamy component would have taken them up another level. The sweet potato fries were fantastic. The chicken and biscuit was decent. The Nashville-style chicken had good flavor, but the tenders were on the smaller side, making the portion feel a bit lacking. The biscuit itself was solid. The tallow fries were also well done, and the Lefty's sauce was a nice addition. One unique touch at the end. You're given the option to send a postcard, and they handle the postage and mailing for you. A really fun and memorable detail. Stopped in during happy hour and was glad I did. This is a sports bar with huge TVs everywhere, making it a great spot to catch a game and grab some food. I took advantage of their happy hour specials and ordered the wings in Caribbean Jerk and Garlic Parmesan along with an order of sweet potato fries and a draft beer. The $1 wings and draft deal is hard to beat. The wings were solid and they came out hot and fresh. For me was the sweet potato fries with their seasoning were banging! Had a bunch of family in town, so with folks ranging from 76 years down to 8 years, we were stumped finding a "fast casual" spot that could seat all of us for dinner out of the heat and have a variety of options for food and drink. Then Lefty's showed up on our search. Not been there since to change over from Liberty, but we will be back on our own for sure! Isis did a fantastic job of making sure we all were served like royalty (magic?) and really, the entire staff there joined in to make our visit perfect. Food was varied and all was delicious. They had tables set up for our crowd which worked well. Price was very, very reasonable as well, particularly given high level of service and quality of meals. Seriously, this place is worth a visit for fun, reasonably priced and delicious food, and really fantastic service. I've had plenty of phillys in and out of Philadelphia, and this definitely rivals them. If you go on a game day you'll be able to enjoy the sound of the games playing and not just watch them with subtitles which is very nice! This place has it going on. My son and i went after the first round of March Maddness and tried a little bit of everything. The food was great as we started out with the Pretzel and beer cheese and it was the best beer cheese we've ever had. Next we tried the wings with the house made dry rub which were good but I've had much better and they are very small. Then we had the Smash burger and the philly steak and cheese and they both were good. Their housemade chips are very good and so are the sauces. Then to top it off we had the banana pudding and it was the right choice to end our day. Our waiter was Derius and he was great and you could tell he loved his job. The Atmosphere is spot on for a sports bar that is right beside the Greenville Drive Stadium which is an affiliate of the Boston Redsox organization. This is the place to be for any sporting event. Really wanted to catch Indiana vs Iowa game and Michael worked hard to get it for us amidst the Ryder cup and SEC and ACC games - lots of tvs in good view to enjoy your fav. Server Amy did a really great job as well and food was really good - soft pretzel and cheese is best I've ever had and my smash burger had the perfect bun and a tasty special sauce. Lefty's West End Tavern is an absolute gem in the West End of GVL! The ambiance is the perfect balance between a tavern feel & a lively neighborhood spot. We were a large party and our server, David, was exceptional & super quick. I had the turkey sloppy joe with chips & the dry rub wings, everything came out quickly and was delicious.
