I'm a fan of Charleston's. I've had only one not so great experience but I think you can expect that with any place. The other times the staff was nice, food was out at a good time, and the place was clean. The food is good. I really like the kid platter of fruit, crackers, and yogurt. It is refreshing to have something different than the common kid cheeseburger or Mac and cheese! I don't consider the menu all that unique but they do what they label "traditional American" well. The price is my only negative. It is a bit pricey. If you want something comforting to eat but looking for a nicer relaxed atmosphere, check it out. read more

I have nothing but love for Charleston's of Norman! My first experience was at an OU game, they were part of VIP food selection available before a game this year. They offered their Spinach & Chicken Waldorf salad, it was not just a sampling but huge salad with all the fixings. It was a great treat to enjoy before the game. The next time we experienced was back in November. We wanted to try restaurant since the salad was so damn good. We were greeted, seated and helped right away. Our server was Jose S and he did an excellent job for us.Explained menu and answered our questions. He was very personable and attentive. I had soup and salad. We again were not disappointed in our choices. I must say our dessert was to die for, we had the Grand Marnier bread pudding, suggested by our server. It was heaven on a plate, melted in our mouths. Great food and superior service. Free refills on drinks with bought to the table before we asked for them. House salad and bread were fresh and filling. Love their rare prime rib Au jus. Meat was so bloody and rare that I thought the cow was still alive. Meat was tender. Au jus was as good as I have ever had. Come early for prime rib. Highly recommended. read more

Went there upon yelp recommendation - my wife ordered a chicken club salad. When she began to eat it she noticed a dead moth after her third bite. The lady manager came out and said "sorry our salad guy must not have caught this in the lettuce" you think? But that was her rationalization of the situation - and she said we are going to make you another salad. What a fantastic meal we had! I had the Short Smoked Salmon and husband had the Chicken Fried Steak. Both spectacular. Dinner salad and soup just as delicious, along with their signature croissants. Ended the meal with a delicious slice of Carrot Cake. Went for late lunch, husband took son again next day. Just can't stay away! Our waiter was great and place was immaculately clean. The smell of bbq is delightful upon entering the establishment. Will be back again for sure! read more

I've been to this location more times than I can count and I have always left happy. I can truly appreciate a restaurant this prides themselves on their customer service. There are always friendly faces and they are never understaffed. The waiters are extremely knowledgeable about the menu and quick to help. I've never had a bad meal here, Believe it or not, they have some of best ribs I've ever had and they don't even specialize in BBQ. They also have great salad and soups, which is plus. Everything on their menu is good, no joke. My first few years in Oklahoma I never tried Charleston's because from the outside it appeared to be old-timey and stuffy. I tried it once because I just wanted something different and now it will be one of my favorite restaurants of all time. read more

Was invited to Charleston's for an influencer opportunity. We had the spinach dip as an appetizer, really tasty. I tried the perfect margarita, it was great. A house side salad came with my meal, I was so impressed. It was truly a delicious side salad, and such an amazing croissant. I had the salmon and carrots for the main course. Salmon was cooked perfectly and the sauce was fabulous! Can't wait to come back here soon. Waitstaff as son as you walk in is courteous and attentive. Our waitress did not allow our drinks to go past halfway the entire lunch. We had the spinach artichoke dip and it came with salsa AND sour cream...delicious made in house chips made it awesome! I had the delicious fried fish and the portions were enormous. My wife and I easily could have split it. My son ordered the chicken tender platter and raved on and on about how good it tasted. Spent a little more than usual for lunch, but the portions were huge, the waitstaff was great and we'll definitely be going back soon!! read more
