I debated between a four- and five-star rating, but overall this was still a five-star experience. This was my second visit, and I returned because I remembered having the best steak I'd ever eaten here. While this steak wasn't quite as impressive, it was a bit tougher than I'd hoped, the flavor was still phenomenal, with a great smoky, straight-off-the-grill taste. Our server, Gracie, was fantastic: friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our large party. We ordered several appetizers and enjoyed most of them, though the cornbread was noticeably dry according to several people at the table. The coconut pineapple margarita was a standout and well worth ordering. The tropical flavors were delicious, and the coconut rim was a great touch. I also loved my salad, especially the tomatoes, which were surprisingly flavorful. For my entrée, the steak was cooked well and paired nicely with the mashed potatoes. Although the texture kept it from matching my first visit, it was still very enjoyable. One thing we really enjoyed was the atmosphere. We were seated in a room toward the back near the wine cellar, adjacent to a pond outside. It ended up being a great spot because we could watch people enjoying the outdoor area throughout the evening. The restaurant struck a nice balance, it felt upscale and welcoming without being overly quiet. Our group was able to be a little loud and goofy without feeling out of place, which made the experience even more fun. What ultimately secured the five-star rating was dessert. I can't remember its name, but it's pictured in the photo. It was enormous and absolutely incredible, one of the best desserts I've ever had and the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. I decided to treat myself today and ordered the Wagyu steak, expecting it to be something special. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. Another person in my group also ordered the Wagyu steak, and we both felt the same way--it was not good at all. For a $51 steak, I expected excellent quality, but instead it tasted like something you could buy at a dollar store. I ended up leaving hungry because I couldn't bring myself to eat it. I do want to recognize the staff. Our server was a very polite young man who provided excellent service, and the hostess was welcoming and hospitable. In the end, my bill was around $60 because I decided to splurge on myself today. It's disappointing to spend that much money only to end up wasting it on a steak I couldn't eat. This is my favorite restaurant. However, when I called to make reservations I confirmed that there would be live music tonight. The live music was the only reason I chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. I understand thar there MAY be a storm coming in. I was informed when we arrived thar the music had been canceled due to the storm. The live music couldn't have been moved inside??? I understand that this is usually outside. You could have even moved it the the covered patio and turned off the stupid radio. No one likes that anyway. It's just noise. This is just poor planning on management's part. The waiter we had knowledgeable and could even answer rhe unique questions I love to throw as curve balls to test them. I would bet that the chickens were bantam chickens which are the best to eat, but they are small chickens. Bantam means small but is typically mistaken for a breed. We come to Norman annually and have made this one of our favorite spots to enjoy a dinner or two. The service by the waitress on Friday night was very good she was Patient and made sure we had everything we needed. The salmon was burned and I didn't like it. The calamari wasn't cooked well and the breading wasn't sticking to the calamari at all, which made it not tasty at all. The mahi mahi was ok, but the Brussels sprouts were burned and my mother was not happy about that. Listen chefs in the kitchen...you know you burned the fish and the Brussels sprouts. It's not our fault it was prom night and you were overwhelmed maybe. We work hard for our money and would like to feel we are receiving what we paid for. Whatever they did to the salmon made my stomach turn. I know it's under different management and I hate to blame it on that, but please demand better food quality for the paying customers. One of my favorite places to eat when in Okc. The service and atmosphere are always top notch. The last few times I visited my mashed potatoes were barely warm. The rest of my meal was acceptable but not hot like I like my food. Everyone else in my party of 20 said the same. I'm rather disappointed about it. There is a decent sized parking lot around the restaurant. Though they were busy and we didn't have reservations on a Friday night, we were able to get seated quickly. The service is excellent, one person takes the drinks order and then the waiter comes for food orders and checks in frequently. The Caesar salad was excellent, the lettuce was crunchy and crispy and the dressing had a peppery spiced flavor, it was very fresh and refreshing. My husband got the house salad with the champagne vinaigrette and said it was one of the best salads he has had. I got the ribs, they definitely give you big portions here. I thought there was a little too much bbq sauce but the meat was tender and really good. The French fries were crispy and not too salty. Have always loved red rock canyon since I was a kid! More familiar with the lake Hefner location but the Norman location is nice as well! They have a beautiful patio with a fire pit. We started the meal off with the cornbread - we love their cornbread! It was a bit drier than usual in my opinion but still delicious and don't forget to ask for butter! I enjoyed my chicken fried chicken, it was cooked to perfection! My parents split the ribs which is a huge portion but I think a great amount of food for the price! First time at Redrock Canyon Grill and it was a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful and my friend and I sat comfortably in a booth next to the bar. We both shared the jalapeño cornbread as an appetizer and ordered the Gulf Shrimp Sautee for our entree. The dish was delicious albeit a slightly odd mixture of shrimp, Italian sausage, bell peppers, asparagus and pasta. The portions were huge. Service was great. The only thing that was a bit awkward was going to the restroom from where we were seated. You had to walk through their open working area in front of the open kitchen. (Maybe I wasnt even supposed to go that way?) I have no idea. I definitely would like to try more from their menu and will for sure be returning next time I am in the area. read more

We were so impressed by the way the staff handled the huge crowd that descended on them after graduation. They were gracious, attentive, working together as a team to meet everyone's needs. Our meal arrived very timely, considering the number of people there. Our food was delicious as usual. Their rotisserie chicken was juicy and tender, with sweet, tender carrots and their signature mashed red potatoes. Their chocolate on chocolate dessert was amazing! They are located in a lovely shopping area with a pretty water feature outside that you can stroll around . It is well worth the stop to eat and relax. Well we asked to sit at a certain booth and they refused because they said it was for parties of 4 or more although we sit there all the time. Guess what we were there for over 1 hour and they never sat snooze in those booths. Then someone did bring us water straight away but Jackie D our server didn't come for over 8+ minutes. Food was outstanding as usual but the service was terrible. Jackie D brought our check it was $68 and I put $80 cash down and she never brought the change back. It's a nice place and the food was good but whoever the manager was for Sunday June 29th in the early afternoon sucks. We dined in this restaurant on a Sunday evening, and I have to pass along that this was the most disappointed I've ever been with Red Rock. Our party included four adults, a 6-year-old, and a toddler. I had even bragged about my past experiences at Red Rock, especially the numerous times I visited the Wichita location. However, times have changed. The Caesar salads were different--not necessarily bad, but not the usual taste we expected. The drinks were okay but didn't meet the standard we were used to at the Lake Hefner location. Then came the food. I suspected there might be a problem when the 6-year-old said, "My hamburger is crispy." I checked my burger and saw what he meant. Medium well was orderd but what was delivered was very well done, not at all what I had asked for, and the condiments were missing. Around the table, my wife's chicken vegetables were lukewarm at best, and my daughter-in-law said hers was cold. The toddler was able to eat off my wife's plate without even letting it cool first. My plate went back, my daughter-in-law's plate went back, and what returned was a slightly better burger and a slightly better plate for her. Both were brought out by the manager on duty. While there were apologies, there was no compensation for the slow service and subpar dinner. Red Rock, I spent $160 on that dinner, not counting the tip, and it may very well be the last dollar I ever spend in your restaurant. read more
