As she finished my nails they were so bumpy and the shape was very inconsistent, I asked her to fix it because I was mortified on how it looked, then she got an attitude started speaking on another language obviously upset and tried to redo them, she improved just barely the shape and since she was being so rough she ended up hurting some of my fingers along near the cuticle. I did not want to ask her to fix it again because she was already hurting me and I was mortified. My technician Thanh (Cathy) went from texting during my pedicure to full on FaceTiming the entire time. There's nothing more awkward and uncomfortable than seeing someone on a phone watch you get a pedicure. I wanted to say something but Thanh barely acknowledged me in the room making it uncomfortable to speak up. The sanitary practices are also highly questionable as Thanh was coughing and sneezing the entire time without a mask and soon started just coughing/sneezing mid FaceTime conversation on my legs. When the pedicure was done she just took the towel she was sitting on to wipe down my feet and quickly usher me for my manicure. The towl for the manicure also had nail clippings from a previous client that I noticed right when I sat down. The manicure did not get much better as I was never asked what shape I wanted and when I did speak up to ask for my nails to be filed or them to all be shaped the same since they were not, I was met with silence. The texting continued though a bit less since we were sitting closer to the front desk. At the end I tried to dry my nails a little longer and she unplugged the nail dryer saying all done, got up, and left. This was by far the worst experience I had getting my nails done. Given the price and the fact that I made reservations well in advance, I was treated like an inconvenience the entire time. It's safe to say I will not be going back to any Bliss Nails location.

I've moved all over the country for medical training and regularly gotten gel manicures for years. As a result, I've probably tried dozens of nail salons in 3 states in the last decade but I've never found a better gel manicure than Victoria's at Teke's. I routinely went to her for manicures during my time as a resident at MGH, which is conveniently located near Teke's. Her manicures are PERFECT and METICULOUS!! There are never bubbles or bumps in the polish and I never had a nail chip or the polish lift/peel even after 4+ weeks!! The services are also very reasonably priced at $36 for a gel manicure in downtown Boston. I'll be honest, I delayed writing this review because I was gatekeeping Victoria. But I just moved away from Boston and I'm ready to share her incredible talent with the world. If you live in the area, do yourself a favor and book a manicure with Victoria at Teke's. I will add that the other staff at Teke's is hit or miss on service quality. Most of the other nail techs can do a reasonable gel manicure for the $36 price. In my years of going to Teke's, I had 1-2 manicures from other nail techs that were objectively bad. So, I would recommend waiting to get an appointment with Victoria if you're going to try Teke's. Always call in advance, her schedule can be pretty busy!

After conversing with her boss, she told me to sit down again, and she re-filed (painfully) my nails down to the SNS part, eliminating the incorrect top coat. She then proceeded to be even rougher with my nails, and sprayed alcohol on them, which made me yank my hand away in pain. After all that, my nails are filed so poorly, one is chipped, and my hands HURT. This nail experience was the worst of my life. The space is stuffy, boiling hot, and grimy.

I even asked that they charge me more but they don't do that. I wasn't going to pay 5$ to take cash out to tip her tho, but they have an ATM. A Very Disappointing Experience After Years of Being a Loyal Customer…read more I have been a client of Lux Nails for years, and although my daughter previously had an unpleasant experience here and stop going there, I personally had never had a reason to complain until today. I made a 10:00 a.m. appointment and arrived prepared with the nail design I wanted. My nail technician, Lina, explained that she could not do my first choice, which I completely understood. I showed her another design, and she confirmed that she could do it. Halfway through my appointment, with my nails already done and essentially only the polish and design remaining, the manager, Meme, approached me because Lina's next client had arrived. Meme then asked whether I wanted to get my toes done instead or leave and come back later so Lina could take her next client. I found this extremely unprofessional and honestly shocking. I was already in the middle of a scheduled appointment. I had somewhere to be afterward and an event to attend. Why should a customer who arrived for her scheduled appointment be asked to leave halfway through her service and return later so another client can be accommodated? The situation became so uncomfortable that I could visibly see Lina becoming nervous and her hands beginning to shake. I even called my daughter while sitting there to arrange an appointment somewhere else because I realized I would likely need someone else to correct my nails. After speaking with Meme, Lina was allowed to continue. However, I ultimately left with a nail color and design that were not what I requested or agreed to. I even asked before she finished about the design I had originally shown her, but nothing was corrected or explained. I did not argue, cause a scene, or disrespect anyone. I simply paid Lina for the service and left. Now, after paying for an appointment that was supposed to have been completed correctly, I have to go somewhere else, spend additional money, and have my nails fixed before my event. As someone who is a manager for 23 years and deal with customers and customer service for many 23 years in a 30 million dollars company. I understand that appointments can run behind and unexpected situations happen. What matters is how you handle them. You should never make the customer sitting in your chair feel rushed, inconvenient, or less important because the next appointment has arrived. What disappoints me most is that I have supported Lux Nails for years. Loyalty should mean something. Every paying customer deserves to receive the service they booked, from beginning to end, without being asked to leave midway through so someone else can take their place. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I will not be returning anytime soon. Great customer service isn't only about doing nails it's about respecting your customers, their time, their money, and the trust they place in your business. Highly disappointed in Lux nails Everett and management!!!
