Extremely disappointed. I spent over 2.5 HOURS at the salon for a simple polish change only to leave with bumpy nails. They feel like the skin of an avocado or golf ball, and they look like those popcorn ceiling tiles. What kind of professional nail salon produces such poor quality outcomes and charges full price for it? I arrived at the salon at 2:30 pm as a walk in. It was not busy and they agreed to take me right away. I selected a color (OPI Dutch Tulips). Toes were done first, then hands. I waited about 45 minutes for my nails to dry and several bubbles appeared. Not one or two bubbles on one or two nails - almost every finger nail was COVERED in bubbles. I spoke up to my nail tech, Amy, who was now servicing another client (pedicure) so she asked me to wait a few minutes. I was happy to do so, I understood she was with a client. Before she came over to me at the drying table, I was pleasantly surprised to see her stop by the sink - she was wearing the same gloves from the pedicure, and I was feeling quite grateful that she would wash her hands before touching mine. Unfortunately, I witnessed her just rinsing her gloved hands in the sink without soap, without scrubbing, just a quick rinse. When she looked at my nails, she too saw all of the bubbles and added an additional clear polish / topcoat to smooth things over. It looked OK when she applied the topcoat so I was relieved & thought it was an easy fix. I continued to sit under the fan to dry -- another 35-ish mins. The bubbles came back. I told Amy. Again, I waited a few minutes for her to rinse her gloved hands without soap & come to me. This time, she offered to remove the fingernail polish and start over. This was inconvenient as i had been drying my nails for over an hour at this point and I hesitated to start the whole process over again, but i thought at least, i'll leave with smooth & shiny nails so it would be worth it. Amy was about to start the polish application (clearly in a rush) when i interrupted and asked if she could please start with a base coat. She then got up to get the base coat and applied that first. Then polish x2. Then top coat. When the new application of polish dried (another 45 mins), it was bubbly AGAIN. Amy applied another layer of topcoat (she said it was a different topcoat than the one before & that shouldn't cause bubbles) and again, I waited for it to dry. The bubbles came back. At this point, i had been at the salon for nearly 3 hours (2 hrs. 45 mins). I was already late for a commitment and I did not have the time to wait for a SECOND redo, especially since it didn't fix the issue the first time. When I went to pay at the front desk, i expected to pay $15 ($14 cash price) for the "color change" / "polish change" on hands. Instead, I was charged $17 -- an additional $2 -- because 4 of my 10 fingernails were trimmed (tiny amounts) so they would be even with the length of the others. I have gotten several polish changes around Boston and no other salon has ever charged "extra" for trimming and filing. Polish change on hands ($15) with the up charge for trimming ($2): $17 Polish change on toes: $19 (unclear if there was an up charge here as well? Only my 2 big toenails were trimmed slivers). 10% off for paying in cash for a total of $32, not including tip. When I asked Amy why my nails were so bumpy, she had no answers or explanation. To her credit, she did say "sorry" when I expressed my disappointment. Conveniently, the manager was not in the salon when I asked to speak with them.
Pictures don't do them justice Went in for a pedicure and gel x manicure and I absolutely loved the way they came out!! I won't reveal the person who did them because I want to keep her to myself. I loved her work ethics and her level of details! Nails with gel x come out SOO MUCH better then acrylic. Never had done them before with gel x but so worth it. More natural and less damage to your nature nails. Color she selected so I don't know the name. A total of $103 when paying in cash.
Went to get a mani pedi. I did acrylic gel mani and gel pedi and was definitely on the more expensive side at around $150. If you pay cash you get 10% off though. Really great service and make sure you like your nails along the way which is nice because I get shy to speak up. Only thing was I felt like my thumb got an acrylic a little bigger than the rest. I showed the person a picture of the design and he delivered. I get nervous asking for designs but definitely coming back to do again. The space is super welcoming and cozy. I liked how they also gave me a phone stand to use while getting my nails done. Will definitely come back here again. They also do a great job of waxing eyebrows and it's one of the cheaper places at around $11 (cash only). Check them out!
Service: Gel manicure Value: Prices are reasonable The Review: As much as I hate to give away a hidden gem, I must give 5 stars to Le's. It's really nothing extravagant, just good quality nails. The place is very simple inside. I wouldn't choose it for a day with the gals or anything social inside of the nail salon, but it's perfect for a solo trip. They have a nice range of colors but not too many, which I often find at other salons. My nail tech was savvy about working with gel and a perfectionist. When my gel nails usually chip after a day or two, these lasted SO long. This picture is of my nails 2.5 weeks later--I did trim them and the gel remained intact. Thank you Le's for a great experience :)
Never ask for hard gel here. I get hard gel regularly and when I came here for the first time, the manicurist did them in an odd way but I didn't question it since I assumed they knew what they were doing. Once I came back to get the gel taken off, the woman who took it off was confused and asked where I got this done. After soaking in acetone 2x and shaving down my nails, they started to hit my actual nail and ended up shaving off my nail's themselves. It's now a week later and my nails are likely going to take a while to recover from this. I was upset at the end of my removal appointment and the women said this was normal for hard gel and I shouldn't be upset. Horrible experience, will not return
It's been a few years since I've been here, and maybe it's just the people need refreshed training. They're very kind, non-confrontational, but I asked to get what I thought was a simple style that they couldn't execute. I wish they had just sent me home. I asked for a soak off (which I got no problem) and a new acrylic full set. I ended up getting Gel-X by a suggestion but I believe it was to save time or because they're not comfortable with acrylic (which was okay, I was willing but that's what I gathered). Everything was alright. Shape was iffy, but nothing a good file couldn't fix. Next, it took me a very long time to explain what I was asking for because the tech just didn't know. Again, it's just your pink base coat then black gel polish then rub on the sparkles. It took her maybe a good 10 min to figure out the right chrome (which we never got), then to ask me again what I was asking her to do. Essentially, it was too difficult and we chose to just do polish and skip the sparkles. I asked for a French tip, similar to what I had prior. This was just poorly done with no change when corrected. I personally got frustrated and ended up just not correcting after a while. I felt really defeated... and mad that I'd spend the money on these nails when I'm extremely unsatisfied. The man that runs the shop looked the entire time and didn't seem to help guide her at all. It was very embarrassing, while he's pampering this woman and giving her a stand so she can watch Netflix on her phone I'll post what I had on my nails prior to this appointment, and what I walked out with. The dark green is what I had first, light green is what I got tonight from the salon. Getting an entirely new set of nails tomorrow. Oh... this whole appointment was $86 with cash so it would've been more expensive. And I left a $10 tip because my tech seemed stressed.
I got a dip with tips and regular pedicure. Total came out to $70. Quite disappointed. This has been my favorite place for years, they're so close to me, but they seem to just keep getting worse each time I come back. I got a deep cut on my pinky this time and my nail tech wasn't really careful with it despite giving it to me and seeing it. The shape could've been better (I asked for coffin) and cuticles don't even look good. Pedicure was the only thing that came out looking decent... looks like I'll be looking for a new spot!

Loved how my nails came out! The next week, I went on a two week long vacation. I have been back for two more weeks and they still have stayed out. I am definitely going back!
Summary: Serviceable gel manicure & pedicure. The Bad: I had an appt (and arrived early), but the service was still rushed AF--the woman doing my nails hurried me through polish selection & then moved at the speed an Amazon warehouse worker. She gouged me a few times with both the cuticle-pushing spatula thing and the pointy tool for cleaning under nails. The nail-prep part wasn't very detail-oriented; most of my nails have a steeper angle on the R side than on the L, and some have little notches where the whites begin because she filed the sides so aggressively. The massage parts were brisk & very, very short. The Good: All that said, the woman doing my nails *was* very detail-oriented when it came to applying my gel polish--& with gels, that's what counts the most! My cuticle edges still sting, but there are perfect tiny margins around each nail's polish; there are NO bubbles; and there are NO stray bits of polish on my fingers. She remembered to cap the tips. All signs point to this being a well-wearing manicure. TIPS (no pun intended): They have a good selection of gel polishes, including the fun cat's eye magnetized ones. This was my first time doing magnetized polish, & next time I'll ask to have both hands magnetized at mirrored angles (e.g., so the cat's eye part slants toward my thumbs on both hands, instead of toward my thumb on my R hand and toward my pinkie on my L hand). I didn't catch anyone's name, but the manicurist one table over seemed friendly/social & seemed to have repeat customers. Also, while Yelp says "no credit cards," they *do* take credit cards for amounts over $30. That said, they'll give you a 10% discount for cash, & the ATM at Luigi's Variety (on Cambridge St, just across 6th St) only charges $1.75. For me, this meant [gel manicure with magnet polish] + [gel pedicure with magnet polish] = $83, minus 10% = $75 for magnet gel mani/pedi (before tip), which is entirely reasonable.
Went there for lash extension It's my first time getting an extension and it was a very good experience. I don't remember the tech name but she did a fantastic job and just what I asked for!! I got natural set (silk) for $71 + tips ($79 if you pay card) and it's probably the best deal in town. The tech is very gentle (I fell right asleep lol) and the equipment seems clean. Would recommend!
I've been a client for 4+ years now, took a break throughout the pandemic since I was hardly seeing people in real life anyways, but now that I find myself working in public and socializing again - I started frequenting Le's again too. No regrets The quality of service has been optimized. The owners and employees are seasoned and well trained in aesthetics - they keep up to date with the newest products in manicuring (love experimenting new things) along with a newer, higher quality eyelash extension glue. I love the progress and the attention they pay to detail. As long as they're open, I'm always going to be a client!

Got gelX nails came with into picture and didn't have to ask for a cuticle clean up as I would have to ask for a manicure with services elsewhere . Helps with the quality of longevity of nail wear if nail beds are clean . But jinjin I think was her name did good. Pay with cash to not be taxed . Alice killed it!! Showed her an inspo pic and she was very careful and took her TIME to get it right, and she did awesome!! Did not rush at all and I appreciated that. She also found all the exact colors I wanted just by looking at the photo?? Talent!! I am obsessed with them it's exactly what I had in mind for my vacation. Prices were also very reasonable especially for the city. I went on a chilly Saturday night and it was cozy inside. Nothing fancy but it's nice. PS if you pay cash it's cheaper read more

My go to for a mani pedi when I want to relax. All of the techs take their time and are always kind. I needed a nail repaired and wanted a very specific French manicure, they delivered . Can't recommend enough. read more

Went there for lash extension It's my first time getting an extension and it was a very good experience. I don't remember the tech name but she did a fantastic job and just what I asked for!! I've gotten every service done here, both with and without Groupon coupons: eyelashes, SNS (dip powder) , gel manicures, pedicures. They always perform each service with such great care and detail. Do book an appointment though because they book fast and it's rare they can squeeze you in the same day. read more

It was my first time visiting this salon in Cambridge. It was very clean and busy. Even though I didn't have an appointment they still accommodated for me and found room for me :) My nail job came out very beautiful and it was very affordable. If you pay cash you get 10% off! I am happy I decided to come visit this salon to kill some time before a date!! read more

Went for a quick shellac manicure with my friend. This was the best most thorough manicure I've ever received. Also, very reasonably priced. The salon was cute and comforting. The largest selection of shellac I've ever seen. 10/10. read more

YALL! Le's done did it again. I took off SNS tips and got gel on my natural nails which have grown so much since doing SNS&tips. My nails look so nice I can't focus on anything else. They are purple in natural light and dark blue in other lighting. I got the cat eye brand which uses a magnetic to give a glowy look. Coco did my nails today!! Thank you! read more

I have been to this establishment twice. I went last August for lash extensions and had an amazing experience. My lashes were done well and lasted for over 6 weeks. This review is based on my second experience here last October. I must have had a new and poorly qualified "lash specialist" because my extensions looked good for only about a week. After one week the lashes became clumpy and my natural lashes were falling out in clumps along with the extensions. My lashes looked spidery and horrendous!!!! I will never be back. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place if you care anything abut your eyelashes because apparently they only do nails well. My lashes are now ruined! read more

I'm really sorry to write a negative review, because honestly the other people working at the salon seemed great. However, I went in to get my nails done before a trip, and the woman who did my nails kind of destroyed my skin. She kept asking the others how to do things - which was fine - but unfortunately it became clear that she was not very good. I was visibly flinching because it hurt while she was doing it, but I figured I was just being a baby. But based on the pain I was right - I should have said something more. I don't expect much for a budget mani pedi, but my fingers have been bleeding for the past day, and worse - my big toe is swollen and sore, to the point where I'm actually nervous about it. And I got them done to go on a trip where I should be walking a lot! I don't want to get anyone in trouble - but I am a little upset because they hurt! Again, the place seemed nice and the others seemed great, I just hope that the others are more gentle! read more

I've been going to this nail salon since they opened earlier this year. The owner, Coco, is amazingly good. She really knows how to treat her customers well. She greets every person with kindness. Most of technicians there are very skilled, and they don't rush any jobs. I will definitely recommend it to my friends! Also, great price around the neighborhood. Hint: They do accept Visa/MasterCard for service over $30, which is pretty reasonable. read more

Hidden gem - Lulu is my go to and she's amazing! She is constantly checking your fingers throughout the process which makes me so happy! I usually go for a plain gel mani, but this time I opted for a design - it definitely takes longer but she's a perfectionist! Also, her nails are always on point with the cutest design I highly recommend calling in advance regardless of who you work with - walk ins are welcome, but they're pretty busy. If you know you want a design, also let them know in advance so they can schedule the right amount of time for you! read more

I've come here a handful of times to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure and once for eyelash extensions. They ALWAYS do a great job. I have very thin cuticles and every nail salon I go to makes me bleed. I usually tell them to avoid cutting my cuticles or I get very squeamish and anxious - not relaxing at all. But Le's does it right. They have never once cut me and my nails always look fantastic. wow i loved how sophie did my nails!! she was very gentle yet efficient and took care to make sure every nail was properly filled! you are charged extra for using more colors but get 10% off if u pay with cash will definitely come back! read more
