    The sandwich I got

Used to eat here every day until they switched managers and the manager started making up his own rules like charging mall employees a dollar for refills. The company is a corporate company and it's free refills btw... kinda sus, I think he was pocketing the money. So a bunch of mall workers including myself started eating somewhere else. They got a new manager so I figured I'd try again. They gave me a half a slice of tomato, one pickle slice, and literally a PINCH of lettuce on my whole sandwich. I asked for extra lettuce, tomato, and pickles, which is free btw they only charge for extra mushrooms onions or green peppers as far as condiments go... and they refused. Literally said no. You have to have just ordered the sandwich to get extra condiments... I had literally ordered it no more than 30 minutes ago, and had clocked out for break and sat down to eat it when I noticed there was no condiments on it. I work in the mall so it's not like I had the time to eat it the second I ordered. Who cares if I came back 30 mins later, I still deserve to have condiments on my 12$ sandwich. Here's a pic. They told me I could either pay for extra condiments or return the sandwich and were extremely rude about it.

Chicken philly was delicious. Fries tasted like old grease. Got the $4.99 special which comes with small chicken philly and fries. Service was great. Best deal at food court for the price.

Buffalo chicken sandwich and nacho fries.

The reply was "oopsies". Then another time they forgot our birria fries when we ordered takeout/pickup and we didn't realize it until we were already on the interstate. The food is delicious but please work on improving customer service and satisfaction! These little infractions make it less desirable to come back.

Oh man, picture this: I dial up Chabelitas, craving a tamale apocalypse, and boldly order 30 of…read morethose bad boys. That's right, 30--enough to build a fortress or bribe an entire neighborhood watch. But the lady on the phone hits me with the sass cannon: "Are you SURE you want 30 tamales? I mean, it's gonna be like $120," delivered in that tone that's equal parts eye-roll and "30 tamales is beyond our capabilities" revelation. Look, I've slaved over homemade tamales with my family--picture us in the kitchen like a chaotic assembly line of corn husks and masa mishaps, laughing through the sweat. But hey, isn't that literally the restaurant's gig? To crank out tamales whether it's a dainty dozen or a full-on fiesta invasion? I politely inquire why my order is apparently triggering World War Tamale, and she snaps back, "Do you want them or NOT?" like I'm auditioning for a reality show called "Survivor: Takeout Edition." I've haunted this joint more times than a ghost in a piñata factory, and I could pick that female voice out of a lineu...blindfolded. Clearly, business is booming so hard they can audition customers now--must be nice! As a prehistoric patron from the early Chabelitas era (back when dinosaurs probably ordered the specials), I bet if I'd waltzed in person, they'd have rolled out the red carpet instead of the red-hot attitude. Next time, I'll just show up with a mariachi band to announce my tamale conquest. Lesson learned: Phone orders are not for the faint of heart, or maybe Chabelitas just has the wrong Chabala at the phone. Chabelitas, kick that nasty attitude to the curb. Adios to Xabelitas, La Mexicana de Columbus took my order in less than two minutes and I'm OMW to get them now.

If you're anywhere near downtown Columbus, this needs to be your stop. The Old Fashioned was beautifully balanced, garnished with a gorgeous orange peel, and at $10 it's an absolute steal -- honestly, they could charge more and it'd still be worth it. My wife is vegetarian and had the pasta, which she loved just as much -- great sauce, feta, sunflower seeds for crunch. This place genuinely has something for everyone, carnivore or not. Add in a waiter who was on point the whole meal and that down-home Southern ambiance (exposed brick, string lights, the whole vibe), and you've got a restaurant that nails food, drinks, and atmosphere all at once. If you're looking for where to eat in Columbus, don't even think twice -- this is it.

But, other than that our actual wait person was awesome and the food top notch! The hot pimento crab dip is to die for and the Harlot Burger was a definite winner. We also very much enjoyed the banana pudding. Charming place, friendly service and great food...just wish the greeting was a bit more welcoming, still a 5 star experience.
