    Ribeye cheesesteak

One of the best steak sandwiches I've ever had. 1 guy behind the counter ( I think he was the owner) super nice and super friendly! I did their lunch special, $18 cheesesteak, fries and a drink, not a bad deal at all! He also gave me a punch card 5 punches and I think you can redeem it for a cheesesteak not sure what the limit is, but I'll be back for sure!

Fat Earnie's is one the best Cheesesteak places to go to. My brother and I have been long time fan for years. We Always get the chicken cheesesteak with our own spin to it. The service is amazing and super friendly. The ice cream slaps as well. Never go wrong with a milkshake. I always recommend the Boom Boom sauce. It's also a great place to go sit and watch the cars get washed or just enjoy a delicious meal!

I have been eating cheesesteaks almost every week from different delis all around Queens, NY as I usually drive around Queens area as part of what I do everyday. So, you can imagine how excited I am to try the cheesesteak on this spot It was a Friday night, street parking was easy enough in the area. Their store looks nice from outside, I noticed the cleanliness of their facility as soon as I went in. I was warmly greeted by the staff/or maybe the owner at the counter. I ordered a traditional cheesesteak. The person on the counter was really nice to explain to me that their traditional cheesesteaks come in 5 oz./10 oz./15 oz., I ordered the 10oz. Wait time was not bad, probably took 10 minutes until my order is ready. While waiting, I was anticipating on eating that thinly sliced ribeye meat with onions and cheese in a crusty long hoagie roll, well, I love cheesesteak sandwiches. I finally got my order, it was properly wrapped in a foil, and brown bag, went home, got home in less than 3 minutes. At home, I noticed that the sandwich was still warm. It has a good amount of meat. The bread was not that crusty, seems like the bread was not toasted. I was thinking that probably/maybe because it was wrapped for a few minutes which is why the bread is that way, I don't know. On that first bite I also noticed that that meat and the cheese was "too salty". I ate some more just to confirm of that salty taste, and I was not mistaken. I was displeased with the food quality at this cheesesteak joint. Service, wait time and cleanliness was great. Price was fair.

My hunny and I were both craving something different. It's difficult to find something to eat with everything that's going on surrounding the pandemic that has severely affected our nation. Nonetheless there are some restaurants that are braving the current crisis and staying open to serve the community. Fat Ernie's offers a pretty simple menu with delicious options. They offer Salads, Signature Cheesesteaks, Handcrafted Sandwiches, Gold Coast Selection, Burgers, Wings, Chicken Fingers, Angus Beef Hot Dogs, E-Z-E, Grilled Cheese, Mozzarella Sticks, Beef & Bean Chili, Sidewinder Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Onion Rings, and Coleslaw. The beverages include Fountain Sodas, Bottled Water, Snapple, and Classic Milkshakes. We had the Signature Ribeye Cheesesteaks with Provolone Cheese, Onions and Peppers. My hunny knows I always need a side to go with my Philly so we went with Onion Rings. Now we have another spot in Queens we can get delicious Phillies other than Shorty's in the city. The cheesesteaks were phenomenal. The perfect amount of meat and cheese on a toasted hero. My only gripe is that the cheese should've been melted onto the meat as oppose to on the hero. I love onions but not an exorbitant amount. I'm funny with onions so they have to be sautéed and chopped up fine in order for me to enjoy them. Fat Ernie's must've known how picky I am because they murdered my Philly. It was so damn good. Let's get into the onion rings which were out of this world yummy. The batter was nice and crunchy. The onions were sliced on the thin side which allowed us to enjoy them even more. The only downside is that they give you about 6-7 decent size rings but that's not enough to share between two people. FYI the Phillies reheat perfectly in the oven. Wrap it in aluminum foil and pop it in the oven on 350° for 15-20 mins. You get a nice toasted bun that's still soft on the inside yet slightly crunchy on the outside.

This is what a 10oz TRADITIONAL RIBEYE CHEESESTEAK LOOKS LIKE, you've been warned!

Decided to go pick up my order via Order Eats: (2)10oz ribeye cheesesteaks with mayo and cheese wiz, one with extra cheddar cheese, onions, the other with tomatoes, French fries, onion rings, extra side of cheese wiz, and a coke. When I pulled up, I hesitated on entering because it appeared like the restaurant was closed. I walked in and it seemed deserted, there was someone at the front and I informed him that I was there to pick up my order from Uber Eats. He immediately told me that he didn't have vinegar to add to my sandwiches, he also mentioned that he literally had ONE can of Diet Coke in which I declined, he paid me $2 from his register as a courtesy. I will be honest in saying that I didn't think to actually inspect my order until after I got to my destination in which I found this (insert pic here*). No cheese wiz (on the sandwiches or on the side), no tomatoes, no cheddar cheese, no mayo. Very upsetting after spending $45. Called Fat Ernie's and was met with apologies along with statements like "we ran out of tomatoes," "I'm sorry i forgot to include the cheese wiz" etc etc. And I was told to request a refund via Uber Eats. My party and I ended up dumping the entire order in the garbage and made a beeline to Park Slope, Brooklyn to purchase delicious wagyu chopped cheeses from PROSPECT PARK DELI(if you don't know, now you know, thank me later ). Fat Ernie's...it's been real.

I have been looking for the best Philly Cheesesteak outside of Philly for the longest time....and I believe I finally found it! This place is easily a 10-out-of-10, 5-Star place with AMAZING food! I'm always bothered when I have a "cheesesteak" with un-seasoned beef. Makes no sense to me. The cheesesteak I had here was SOOOO flavorful and perfectly seasoned with CHEEZE WIZ! The sandwich I got was HUUUGE with tons of meat! No skimping out in quantity! And CHEESE WIZ! THE CHEEZE WIZ! Why other "cheesesteak" places don't offer cheese wiz is beyond me! Just a juicy, tasty, cheesy amazing sandwich! To Management: You guys are doing everything right with this place. Keep cranking out amazing food and I'll keep coming back! Observation: I've driven past your restaurant hundreds if times and from the road it always looks like you're closed. The chairs are up and the lights are off/dimmed without any sign showing you're open. Make a HUGE sign saying you're open with a large picture of your food and you'll definitely draw more attention! Trust me!

All I can say is awesome!!!today was the first time i tasted fat Ernie's philly cheeses steak. I said this is good..I had never heard of this place before. My wife and her friend was out celebrating her friend birthday and they brought me a fat Ernie's philly cheeses steak sandwich back home . I took the sandwich with me to work and I gave it a taste test .this sandwich was one of the best that I ever tasted before. I have had a few philly cheeses steak before at some of best cheese steak restaurants.so when I tasted this sandwich I said it definitely ranks# up there with the best. I would have to say it has to be number 1or 2 as my all time favorites philly cheeses steak. The bread was soft and it gives you a little crunch at the same time. Toasted just right!! The cheese melted just right. Along with the seasoned meat made soft and tender make for a awesome mixture of flavors together that melts in your mouth. So I would have to say iam sold on this sandwich that's why I'm giving them 5/5 stars .I would definitely go back there in the future.

We got here and got a couple of cheesesteaks and ordered some fries. The food was good and so was the service. The bad thing about the place when I went was there was no AC on a humid day, which made the place hot and uncomfortable to eat in. Fat Ernie get on it and fix that AC so your workers and customers aren't sweating.

Philly cheese I ordered with provolone mayo s/p. Came with cheese whizz onion and peppers. SMH , no salad, cold fries

Went to fat Ernie's today for the first time, ordered 2 cheese steaks and a double burger, a strawberry shake and side winder fries. Fries are as good as they come. Crispy on the out side and soft like mash potatoes on the inside. My burger was on point with the brioche bun. My co workers cheese steak they said was good with plenty of meat and very flavorful. The location is great, being rite off the cross island pkwy and Jericho tnpk. I will be back very soon, and my co workers will as well.

I've only been to 2 cheesesteak restaurants, this is the 2nd and it was pretty good. Very generous with the ribeye, one order is enough for 2 people. I went overboard with the toppings, I would advise less is best, I think just onions and mushrooms/sautéed peppers would be all you need. The only thing I would change out is the bread, I think a less dense bread with a really crunchy, crusty exterior.....otherwise great :D They also have a chicken version if that's more your vibe :)

Salad is crazy overpriced, it's almost as expensive as the cheesesteak and I never even got the dressing for it.

Walking in, you are most definitely noticed and greeted! I like that concept for the mere fact, if you are ordering from bodegas they let you order at the food counter, in my experience, but this D&G's take on a more direct approach by speaking and asking how they can help you, more like steering you in the right direction sking with gathering enough information to complete the sale. For instance I said that I wanted a Sausage, egg, n , cheese. I told him 3 egg whites, with the sausage links. Instead of putting it on any bread, the most important question was asked. Do you want it on a roll or hero, a key question to satisfy the customer and to provide satisfactory customer service. A key component in retaining customers. As I looked around the casual atmosphere to gathering information so that I may be well informed, I found some cookies that made me feel nostalgic in the best way. I was compelled to buy the Duplex Cremes, see photo! I also searched for the bigger pack of Biscoff, my new found favorite but they only had one selection and it was a mini pack. This store was less chaotic, smaller than the Merrick store, more organized and consistent with exemplary customer service. If I'm in the area, I'll return. An improvement would be to have bigger bags of cookies, like the Biscoff, other than that I'm satisfied and eagerly await the next opportunity to ..... Inspire more, Yelp more!

I used to come here a lot when I was a kid, and back then the food honestly wasn't as good as I remembered. Now Big difference.
