We were in the Wellington Green mall today and stopped in the food court for lunch. I've seen these sandwich shops before but have never eaten at one. Today I ordered the "Every Day Special" - Chicken Philly Sandwich with fries. * I thought the sandwich was pretty good. It wasn't the best sandwich I've had but it was good. The bread very soft and good flavor. The vegetables seemed very fresh and cooked nicely. The chicken was cooked fine. I would have like to have a little more sauce on it but that's just my opinion.... * The prices seemed very reasonable for sandwiches.... * The staff seem friendly even though they were busy. * I would come back again for sure. I've loved the taste of Charley's since their debut in the Wellington Green Mall but the quality of service is lacking significantly. Today I had to order my meal twice and it STILL was incorrect. I ordered the bacon chipotle philly original combo, and I should have known when the employee asked me if I wanted fries or a drink AFTER just asking for a combo I was in for a ride. To start, after ordering I wasn't given my drink and when I asked for it (a watermelon strawberry lemonade) the employee looked very confused but eventually she turned to make my drink. The lemonade tasted more of strawberry that it does a watermelon mix, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. The new bacon chipotle Philly comes with chicken, pepper Jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, Mayo, onions, peppers and chipotle sauce. I asked for no onion or peppers and pickles on the side. My first sandwich had onions so I returned to the register and they offered to remake my meal. The second sandwich had no Mayo making it extremely dry as there is only a little chipotle sauce squeezed on top. I wasn't about to return to the resister for a third time so I ate what I could and tossed the rest. Very disappointing though for $16. Overall the flavor of the sandwich was ok. I wouldn't order it again and I see why it's a limited item. The chipotle sauce is tasty but not spicy at all. Definitely could have used more of a kick. Fries were crispy and fresh. Returning I'd stick to my usual Buffalo chicken Philly. read more

First and foremost, I used to LOVE this place. I have no idea what happened to it but it has gone downhill BIG TIME. They need to do a deep cleaning at this place. I know it gets busy but that is no excuse for it to be as dirty as it is. There is garbage all over the floor near the grill. The grill is disgusting. The customer service has gone downhill big time. They make you feel like you are bothering them by being there. I always get the chicken teriyaki with cheese fries. The last few times my sandwich was luke warm and my fries taste freezer burnt. The final straw for me was finding a bone of some sort in my chicken teriyaki! I don't even want to know what kind of bone it was because I am pretty sure it was way too small to be a chicken bone but needless to say I will not be returning. I just sent the information that was requested. Hopefully they are able to look into this so it doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

These sandwiches are actually very good and made quickly. I like the #3 Bacon, steak and cheese. But I've also had the std beef cheese steak and the chicken cheese steak. They were also delicious. The establishment is clean. The parking spots outside seem narrower and shallower than normal. And parking is cramped. The prices are about $10-$11 per sandwich. Best C/S ever...bun was outstanding, as was the steak accompanied by onions and green peppers, American cheese and dab of mayo. Thankfully steak was not chopped up to resemble hamburger.. Lower the price and l give it 5 stars. $6.99 small...&8.99 medium..I believe large was $10.99.....$6.99 way too high for the small. It is about the same size as a 6" subway sandwich... I knew I shouldn't have tried this place but I did. Soo Grose! The cashier had zero personality, probably hates his job and I don't blame him. No one looked the slightest bit happy to be working there, not one smile. I split a Philly cheese sub w a friend and a side order of fries. The fries came with melted cheese & bacon bits, not what my friend ordered. When I brought then back the girl looked at me like she had no idea what I was saying. I tried again and she gestured to the other girl at the fries. I got a new order of fries and handed the wrong order t the girl, she took them, not one word, or apology for mix up. I'm really not sure what I was expecting from a mall food court cheesesteak spot. I arrived to a long line and a sign reading number one cheesesteak in the world (not sure who gave them that title). Each steak here has lettuce, tomato, pickle and mayo on it which I had trouble wrapping my head around. If you tried to order that in Philly you'd be thrown off the line, literally. Anyway I asked for the classic wiz wit or has I asked for it here to non Philadelphians a steak with onions and cheese wiz. I was looked at like I had 10 heads. After repeating this to 3 different people they finally got it right. It became clear no one working there or on line has ever had a real Philly cheesesteak. So how did it taste? Also, the people making the sandwiches are way more interested in talking to each other than interacting with the customers. The person at the register was pleasant. Outstanding, albeit expensive Philly Cheesesteaks, sandwiches, salads, and fries in the Wellington Green Mall Food Court. The large sandwiches were huge. My husband and I could have easily shared a large combo rather than order our own. The cheese fries are awesome, covered in gooey cheese and bacon bits. The food isn't cheap, but great quality. Service is terrible. The grill is disgusting and the cook kept scraping the grill and leaving the garbage on the tray where he kept putting his spatulas. Then there was a sample tray that was on the counter and it fell into the toppings and the girl there just picked out the chicken and toothpicks. Finally my sandwich was made after waiting half an hour and she drops it on the floor. My friend who I was with they forgot to make his sandwich and looked at us funny when we asked where it was. read more

My first recommendation is the same as on rollercoasters, observe before you order. I realize it's in a food court, but seeing a Philly cheese steak place among all the usual Asian fair was exciting. $10 for a Philly with fries and a soda, ok. The cook cleans the grill first... probably could have done that before I ordered, but ok. Then he slaps the frozen Steak Um's on the grill. Losing me. The other cook fills a bin with the frozen fries. Going. The cook stares at me awkwardly as the food cooks. Going. He asks me if it looks ok. Is that a trick question? Can I change it at this point? I work in the mall, went to get breakfast because the mall opened at 8am, I went twice on to ask at what time they started and the girl siria whatever her name is gave me an attitude like I was bothering her, her co worker told her 3 times to tell me as she ignored me standing there. she finally said 9 am. I left and went back at 9:10am she saw me and left standing there and walked to McDonald for her coffee, comes back not even sorry or how can I help, se said what do you want and I told her and she then tells me are you paying cash I said no card. she said well my CC is not working I have to call to fix it! she has been opening before 8 am and as she is taking care of me she realizes the cc is not working! terrible!
