This is a neighborhood gem in Wellington which borders my children's development which is how we found it in the first place. We took our two granddaughters here for a Friday night dinner. They were so excited to eat here. It's a pizzeria basically which is small but it does have outside seating with umbrellas. It's a great spot in the plaza. I ordered for the family at the counter and one of their workers brought it outside to our table. We had Stromboli's - spinach and cheese and a chicken one which comes with delicious homemade sauce for dipping. Paul always gets his favorite here- their lasagne. As always, he loved it. First slice was missing the crust but the second slice was just right with a nice crust, thisnis a delicious slice of Brooklyn ! Sauce was perfect with fresh basil and full of flavor. Light crunch when you bite into it and a little oil sliding down your wrist. Staff heard I was not happy with my first slice and quickly brought me a new one! From the beginning almost 20 years ago, we've been coming here. Sal the owner is incredible The recipes have stayed the same, the food is always hot fresh and delicious. If you need a little twerk or a little tweak and something, it is always accommodated. I usually start off with five stars if I'm pleased but the person took my order and obviously never turned it in so out of the four people in our party, I never got my Lasagna. My wife shared half her pizza with me and my brother in law gave me half his lasagna which was actually perfect. Now, lets start the regular review. Easy in and out off the main road ti this very modern looking strip mall, then the pizzeria / restaurant. You order at the front counter then they bring the food to your table. When they delivered the three items is when we realized that they never received mine. I should have questioned why they were crossing off items as I was ordering. No harm, no foul... There was plenty of food at the table to go around as their portions are very large. Our appetizer & dinner consisted of: - Garlic knots - Crisp with a warm soft center and plenty of buttery garlic - Mozzarella and Tomato salad - plenty of juicy tomato with delish fresh mozzarella - Lasagna - A delicious blen of wide noodles, meat and sauce. This was really a treat. Great rich-tasty sauce - Eggplant rollatini with ziti Bolognese - .I did not taste but you could see the three large pieces of eggplant in the same rich-tasty sauce and a bog bowl of ziti. (portions are not for the faint hearted here and be prepared to take food home - Pizza with mushroom - delicious thin crust with a very tasty pizza sauce, plenty of cheese and mushrooms. We tried Basilico's twice in the past 3 months. Being from NY I was excited when I read so many reviews saying how great their pizza is and how close it is to a real NY one! Unfortunately it couldn't be further from the truth! When I got their pizza the first time it was OK, not terrible, just OK. But when we tried them again the other day it was horrible! We came here after seeing the dr in Wellington. My mom was excited to bring us here as she found her new pizza spot. We walked in and got a table which apparently is a Win because it's very hard to get one. We were not greeted by a waiter because you order from the window. However we were given cups for drinks. We ended up ordering garlic knots, cheese pizza, chicken parm with pasta and garlic sticks. And for dessert we split a tiramisu. The garlic knots were good. A little soft for my liking but fresh garlic on top. The garlic sticks were a bit too dry for my liking. The pizza was good. Most of the pieces didn't flop down. Not a huge pizza for the price but it was good. The chicken parm, the first piece was chewy which seemed as if they didn't cook it long enough. Not raw but that chewiness right before it's done. Sauce was a bit sweet which I like. The pasta was pasta. Nothing special. Tiramisu was delicious. The cream was frozen so it gave it a nice texture. Overall, I'd say the ratings of the business is a fair assessment. 4.25. But in Wellington this place is a booming. read more

This place has been on my 'to try' list for a while and today I decided to have dinner here with my son when I picked him up from daycare. We arrived around 5:30 to a BUSY restaurant. There is very limited seating but also a nice patio area on the side of the building to sit and eat. When we arrived there was only one available table indoors. We ordered a slice of pepperoni, a slice of cheese, mozzarella sticks (6) and 1/2 dozen garlic knots and a fountain drink. Our order totaled around $24. We received a table number, picked a patio table and waited. A nice gentleman brought out our food just as I was drying the chairs at our table (it rained earlier). All dishes arrived hot and fresh. The mozzarella sticks were breaded nicely and the marinara was some of the best I've tasted in a long time. I expected more from the garlic knots than I received. Portion size is great but they were dry and lacked flavor. The pizza was wonderful and did not disappoint at all. I would return to try other menu items. read more

The girls taking orders were friendly, but the young man who brought the pizza to the table seemed disinterested and a little grumpy. This place was a madhouse on a Friday night! There were lines out the door -- and every table inside was full. We had no idea what to expect. But I guess, it's the closest pizza place in the neighborhood. People were picking up orders to go and placing orders to go. A few of us were choosing to eat there or on the patio -- around the corner. Inside there's a half dozen seats at several tables and several seats at a counter along the wall. Right outside on the sidewalk, there are a few tables. The biggest area is the patio between buildings. We got a white pizza with mushrooms. The pizza was good -- not great -- and the mushrooms were canned and barely cooked. However, there was a lot of creamy ricotta cheese on it. And when I reheated the pizza the next day, and ate it hot -- it was very good. We also tried a side salad with mixed greens. This was good. And it was a nice starter while we were waiting for our food to be ready. One guy at our table said he waited over a half hour for his pizza -- so definitely order ahead if you can to save some time -- and aggravation. I'm glad we went. Now we know. read more

This is our #1 Italian restaurant. Pizzas, calzones, Stromboli and even the salads are very good. It's a small restaurant, that does mostly takeout, with limited space so get there early. They don't take reservations, nor do they serve any alcoholic beverages. You can bring your own and there's not a corking fee, there's even a small liquor store in the same center where you can go buy a bottle of wine to have with dinner, it's not an issue with the restaurant. read more

This Pizza place on Foresthill is hopping with Pizza Patrons! As we arrived there was a line extending out the front door. We placed our order and was able to find a seat and share a table with a father and son who had been waiting for their pizza. ( We learned it is best to order by phone and pick up. Then you can find one of the tables inside or the large patio area outside.) Our pizza was good but they use canned mushrooms as opposed to fresh, thus making a soggy pie. Left overs we had the next day were much better once in the air fryer for a few minutes to firm up the crust and toast those mushrooms just right. Peak hours seem to be between 5pm to 7pm, so you might want to take advantage of the phone option for your pizza, stromboli, pasta or sandwich orders. read more
