It's by no means fancy or fussy (and isn't trying to be) but is a good place to get a freshly made burger, shake (for only $3.25!) and SWEET POTATO FRIES, which Muskogee doesn't have enough of. They're also always really friendly--it feels like a warm hug. I'll have to come here more often when I come back home to visit!

My wife and I have traveled extensively around the country and our "hobby" is sampling diners in different places. Mel's is hands down in the top five honor roll! Such an unexpected delight! Great food, great menu, great staff and service, great prices, and great coffee!!! We live 20 miles away, but Mel's will definitely be our "go to" place from now on!!! Highly recommended!!!
