Brought my fiance and her sister here to get a Long Island Iced Tea and they enjoyed themselves. This was their first time here and they are already wanting to come back. Ther service was very personalable and delightful which made for an easy visit, plus the vibe was comfortable and cozy. Try the fried okra if you haven't as it goes very well with our drinks.

Just grabbed some takeout -- the food was fantastic and the service was super friendly! Everything was hot, fresh, and packed perfectly. Definitely recommending this spot!

food i'd suggested to momma that we go to the restaurant to share a dessert, telling her that i thought the southern comfort style restaurant would feature a cobbler. however, when we sat down at the table, i did not see any desserts on the primary menu and three desserts on a feature menu. therefore, after asking if the restaurant offers any dessert in addition to the three we had seen, our server told us that while the desserts on the menu all taste good, guests typically do not come to the restaurant for just dessert. and the server even gave such consideration as to offer alternative restaurants for dessert, in case none of the menu options piqued our interest. further, the first alternative our server suggested was the andy frozen custard location at the building next door on yale, where i've worked previously. and though the dessert dish is one that can be imitated in a frozen custard concrete, by selecting cheesecake bites and melted chocolate shell as toppings, i'd assert that the cheesecake, with or without chocolate shell, serves as a dessert item that is complementary to the traditional southern style menu with a dessert that stands apart as an elegant last course. service the service was friendly and kind, with one standout moment to me being the skill our server displayed when coming to the table with drinks and seeing our menus on the end of table. the greeting subtlety suggested to me that, while the server did not identify us as regulars, she did not want to assume that conclusion, considering that menus on the end of a table so soon into a restaurant experience is often suggestive of being a regular diner. ambiance the ambiance achieves a delicate balance between traditional homestyle southern cooking and upscale dining. i've eaten at the restaurant once before that i recall, earlier in the day, and think the way i perceive the restaurant actually shifts from traditional to upscale as the day progresses from lunch hours to evening and night. all in all, i'd recommend the restaurant as an ideal upscale traditional southern restaurant in tulsa and surrounding suburbs.

Staying at a hotel across the way and stumbled across this local joint. Got the chicken liver entree with cottage fries, green beans, and gravy. If you haven't had their Irish Red Ale, I highly recommend it! Great service!!! Will definitely be back.

It was served steaming with a steak knife on the side, which told me it had been microwaved to heat it up. A warm cinnamon roll is hard to beat, but one that has been overheated is a challenge to cut and chew (remember the steak knife?). I'd prefer to have it cold rather than too hot. Otherwise the service was good considering the restaurant was packed with a Sunday morning breakfast crowd.

We went on a Thursday afternoon at 4:00, so we didn't expect it to be busy. There were a few people there but not a bunch. We were promptly greeted by the hostess and shown to a booth. Our waitress brought our menus and silverware right behind the hostess. She asked if we knew what we wanted to drink and I ordered Decaf Coffee. My wife deferred to later once she knew what she was going to eat. The coffee arrived a few minutes later and I placed my order for the Belgian Waffle, 2 eggs scrambled, Hash Browns, and 2 Sausage Links. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and a side of biscuits and gravy and regular coffee. First before I forget, I am somewhat of a portly fellow. I carry about 70 pounds more than my doctor likes, and it's all right above my belt. Remember that the hostess put us in a booth, which usually is a challenge for me, because of my extra tire that I carry. But I was pleasantly surprised that this booth was spacious. It had plenty of room for us extra large folks without trying to move the table. The coffee, was good. Remember that I drink decaf coffee, so when I say it was good, thats saying a lot. I even asked the waitress if she had forgotten and brought me regular coffee and she assured me it was decaf. When the food arrived, I was so impressed by how good it looked, I forgot to take a photo, so the attached photo shows what was left when I was full. The waffle was the main thing I was after. I love waffles, and it's hard to find a good waffle. The menu claims they are Belgian Waffles, and I cannot disagree. They tasted like the Belgian Waffles I had in Paris, so I believe they are. The has browns normally don't rate a mention, but these hash browns were soft and not crunchy, and tasted like I expected hash browns to taste, from the first bite to the last. The eggs were scrambled well, which I would have preferred loose, but that's my fault for not specifying. I also ordered link sausage which was cooked as it should be. Next time I'll order bacon. The reason I avoided the bacon is that most places either burn it or leave it partially raw. Based on how the rest of my meal was cooked, I expect the bacon will be cooked right. I'm looking forward to my next visit already.

My family was warmly welcomed and quickly brought out those amazing sweet Croissants drizzled with cream. They managed to save me one when I returned from the restroom. Biting into that croissant was amazing--lots of butter and so much sweetness. For dinner I got the bourbon shrimp and salmon with carrots and green beans. So delicious! I was expecting the sauce to be very sweet, but it was not, it had a spicy, garlic, and light flavor which popped really well with the salmon and shrimp. I loved the carrots as they were very soft and a little sweet. Overall our meals were so good. I love that the staff allowed us to relax and talk after eating. We did not feel rushed at all.

We celebrated the patriarch's 91st birthday Sunday night. I knew from a prior birthday celebration we had there, that they don't take reservations. That means that if you have quite a few people in your party, you just have to take your chances that they can accommodate you! They do have a call ahead wait list, however it will only accept 6 people. If you have over that mark, you had better go elsewhere. It was a Sunday night, and we were meeting there, so I arrived early to register our party. Since I could not make a reservation, or get on a wait list, I was told that it would be an hour wait! I was hoping that maybe the estimated time would be shorter. It was not! We watched people come, eat, and go for two hours! When asked about the wait we always got the reply, we're waiting for the people to leave! What kind of an answer is that? With all the people that they seated during the TWO HOUR WAIT, they could have taken us. I guess that I should mention that this was the second time this has happened to us with a birthday celebration! It most surely will be our last! Unless, and until, they institute a policy of taking reservations (I would have been willing to give a credit card to hold one), or opening up their wait list, we won't be going to Cheddar's for another birthday!!
