I recently had the misfortune of experiencing the worst nail service I have ever encountered. The end result was utterly embarrassing, with clumpy and chunky nails that I was mortified to be seen in public with. I highly advise against visiting this establishment, as the atmosphere was uncomfortably quiet and lacked any semblance of conversation. The photos I took speak for themselves. On a scale of 0 to 10, I would never return. Furthermore, the interior was grossly unclean and unprofessional, with non-functional lamps and a hazardous light socket that blew up during my appointment. The towels at the stations were also contaminated with other clients' nail residue, and the pedicure stations were in disarray. I strongly recommend seeking alternative services, as the subpar quality is not worth the $60 price tag. My dogs are capable of doing a better job. After returning home, I re-shaped the nail entirely to my satisfaction. The substantial time I invested in shaping my nails and attempting to perfect them at home was disheartening. I simply wanted attractive nails to complement my Christmas dress and feel confident, but this experience unfortunately marred the moment. I departed in tears, and my boyfriend attempted to find something positive about the nails; we eventually agreed that the most satisfactory aspect was the re-shaping I did myself after returning home. Since my last review I decided to update my review. I've tried several places around town and honestly I always return to Le. She's fast, does a great job-my nails last a month- they would last longer but I budget for 1 time a month. Every time I'm back in the area I always return to her. Shes very patient with me. can color match any color to my lipstick, my purse, my dress, my "idea" for a color! I'm very pleased. there was a family of 4 girls came in one time for prom nails from Bagdad a little mining town about an hour away and they said they drivee to Charlies to get their mani's and pedi's. That says a lot about a place! I've NEER had an infection or fungus. the salon is always clean. I always inspect a places bathroom when i go into a place for the first time and if their bowl ring is grungy THEY are too! but now Here!!! I'm very happy! read more

Went in for a manicure. First, the place is not very clean. I come up to Prescott from the valley in the summer. The manicure took less than 15 minutes. Didn't even clean under the nails. I asked why I was charged for their "deluxe " manicure and she told me because she gave me a buff shine. There wasn't any one waiting so it wasn't they were running behind. This hast to be the worst manicure I have ever gotten. The rates seem low but the service was lower than the rates. I recommend you go to any place other than this place. read more

Sorry to say, not good at all. Sloppy and careless. It's located inside the mall, so in addition to the place being rather shabby, which suggests not real clean, it's a bit of a pain to get to. Mani & pedi received. The quality is horrible. 3 toes bleeding & sore. 2 sore fingernails! The lady pushed my cuticles with a long point broken fingernail! I'm reporting them to health department! I received a gift certificate last Christmas and I used it before my year was up. I was told by my daughter, who also received a gift certificate, don't go there, they are terrible! Pedicure was great! The male did it and had great attention to detail. Gel nails not good. She Did not even ask if I liked them. When I did say it's to thick, I got the vibe that I just needed to be quiet. I wish this world was a nicer place to have services done. I work hard for my money. This salon is so outdated. They used an old dirty nail fIle on my nails. I got a dip manicure and it barely lasted a week.

My thumbnail was crooked and when I pointed it out to my tech she got upset and jammed her nail up under my fingernail causing me to call out in pain. She was very rushed and was not professional at all I will never go back. read more

I was visiting my cousins in AZ and we decided to get our nails done. My cousins recommended this place, Charlie's nail. We went in, signed our name and waited less than 10 mins, which that was awesome! I went for gel mani and pedi since my cousins had mentioned that they do amazing gel. When going in to a nail shop I usually don't like to tell people I speak Vietnamese because I like to be noisy. but ALSO, if I should come back or not. They just went on talking how pretty I am etc and I responded in viet "Cam on" (Thank you) They were Very Shocked. We had a very nice conversation the entire time. Customer service is amazing. Me and a friend went there yesterday,I had been once before and was happy with the experience. This time it was really bad I was yelled at for questioning the price of the 25.00 full set and taken to the price board to be screamed at again . We had waited a long time to get in. Nails are 25 unless you get white tips or polish then they are 30,they tried to charge my ftiend 45 for the same set!The nail tech was an older guy probably in his 50s,short about 5"5 with glasses,he said his name is Kevin,but i doubt it.He is a sick sadistic man who is very abusive.He drilled my nails and cuticles 3 times,he also stuck his nail very rough into my overdrilled cuticle after he had applied the acrylic , I was in horrid pain,and even when I said it was very painful he kept pushinh his nail in and drilling my cuticles.I have blood where he drilled through my nail bed.He also had a wart on his hand uncovered the whole time.The whole experience was the worst ive ever encountered i will never ever go back there! Wife went here to get a pedicure yesterday (Jul 4). Short asian lady was her tech, name never given. Lady started with some sort of cheese grater looking thing on my wife's right foot. She took all 7 layers of skin off and caused sores on her foot. They then had the audacity to claim it was like that because of her flip flops, which she'd been wearing for over a month with no issues. The owner/manager Dave, who really knows, told her to put vaseline on it and it'll be fine. Kept telling her, "What do you want me to do?" Never offered an apology, never offered any kind of remorse or ownership of this problem. He just continued to belittle my wife as it this issue existed because of her. To some degree, this is true. Not great... very short pedicure. Mind you we were the ONLY 3 in the except for 1 other. Paid full price fir my 7 year old and she was done In 10 minutes. My sister in 15. Also they had their baby in while they were working which was fine... except when it is a constant distraction. They need to make it more about the customer. I think they just pretended to use lots of tools on me so that it would look like there was lots going on and I would be satisfied. Also, I went in with a bunch of my teenage friends, and I think they didn't really respect us. It was clear they wanted us to get in and out as fast as possible, despite the fact that there were few people in the salon. Finally, they blatantly asked us if we were going to tip them. I drive all the way from Camp Verde to get my nails done here. They are always very friendly and do a great job with very clean instruments. They are always cleaning and that means a lot!! I've been to many, many nail salons and never have I seen a place that makes sure their tools are so clean and sterile. I always have difficult requests for my nails but they always try to accommodate me and do a wonderful job especially on my shape. I am extremely picky. Awful experience I WILL NEVER GO BACK OR GIVE A REFERENCE FOR THEM! The whole time they spoke to each-other so super loud and rude and not in English in another language. They put my Birkenstock's on before the polish and got polish all over my Birkenstock then when I asked about the polish being on the leather she stated it was there already. Charged us for masks when we told them we had some in the car we could go get - they said don't worry we have some but didn't mention they 2343 charging us for them. Awful service! read more

So mom and I end up at the nail salon up at the mall. One of the nail polish lids wasn't on all the way and I picked it up and it fell and broke and scattered all over my FUCKING BRAND NEW clothes. Rather than asking, they automatically go ahead and do a luxury pedicure (as I suspected when she used hot stones on my legs) and although they quoted $25 for the pedicure, they ended up charging $45. I've been going here about a year....I've been happy with the service here until now! I went in less than 2 weeks ago for a pedi and gel manicure. The woman rushed me and I went on my way. Within days the polish was peeling off. I finally went in today, missing 4 nails of polish less than 2 weeks old. I showed the receipt for over $100 with the date. Abbreviated version: they told me its nail growth and normal wear. They yelled at me and sent me to a chair for a fix. Then proceeded to yell throughout the salon in another language, obviously about me, to the point everybody was staring at me. I was so embarrassed, I just wanted to leave without any fix. David angrily fixed the 4 nails within 8 minutes and yelled at me more. I explained I don't want a free manicure, just a fix or I'll pay difference. He then finished and yelled "GO" along with a shooing hand gesture. I even tried to tip for his time and he yelled "no charging just go!". I asked for the manager and the original man said "I am". Cheap products, pushy up-selling and the quickest pedicure of my life! I had just done my own callouses on my feet a couple days before (have a pedi egg at home). So I didn't feel the need to pay an extra $10 for this service. The nail tech asked me 3 times if I was sure, even when I told him I had just done it recently. Perhaps he was irritated that I didn't buy up, because he literally spent 15 minutes on my pedicure. Wow... Then kicked me out of the chair even though I was seated next to a friend for her birthday.
