I'm glad I did since the problem was elusive and I would have been staggeringly frustrated in my efforts to track it down. I offloaded that concern onto Steve and he was able to hammer out a solution in good time. I was able to keep contact with him and he answered my questions as well as didn't mind that I asked him for updates now and again. It ended up being a relatively painless experience for me since Steve had to deal with the headaches of dealing with a proprietary system and try to dig up old parts. But I got my machine back with all the gear I wanted transferred into a new case and it was like it never left. Very happy with the service I was given.

Service is well priced and billing for services rendered always aligned with what was quoted for that service and any necessary replacement. Beyond all that, there's the trust & peace of mind you feel that you're dealing w a straight up good dude, who will treat you right. Can be tough to get that in this space, and similar, like a good car mechanic. Although I'd done some diagnosis on my own, they walked me through all the steps I needed to ascertain what the problem was, via phone. At no charge. Then they looked for the part and called manufacturers to see if it could be replaced or fixed. At no charge. When we determined that it could not be fixed and a new machine was needed, they did the research based on what I needed and made recommendations to me. At no charge (and no commission, no links, etc.. just, here's what we'd order, from where, when you're ready, on your own). I'm pretty sure they've put in a few hours of time helping me out so far, all via phone, at no charge. Of course, I'm sure they know that they'll be servicing the product anytime it needs it, but that's now twice that NEPW has saved my ass and not charged me one red cent. Thanks, guys.

Sorry this review is so late but anyhow here it is Dropped…read moreoff my laptop with Allan last April because it was responding slowly and generally was a drag to use.. Allan installed a SS hard drive as well as cleaned up all other functions and loaded a malware killing program.. The thing is a rocket ship ! My lap top operates faster and better than new I found Allan to be honest, professional, knowledgeable and reasonable I would not hesitate to use his service again or to fully recommend him to any Five Star Service
