I've been…read morecoming here for years and the service has always been good and the prices fair but recently the shop was sold to a new owner and things got even better than they were before!! The outdated decor and mixed matched style of the old place was renewed with clean colors, beach decor, and some very cool design elements. The prices remain fair but are now displayed to be more easily read and understood than the old 'menu' of options. The bulbs have also been replaced recently and they added sunless tanning as an option. Great place, check it out!

I was told to go to the bathroom and use the toilet paper or paper towels if I wanted to take it off. eek. They were also out of barrier lotion, so the woman at the front said to "try and scrape as much as you can off the side of the bottle. That's what everyone else has been doing I think." eek. Also, the woman at the front was kinda rude and acted like she didn't want me there. She seemed like she didn't know what was going on and when I asked a question (it was my first time so I had a few questions) she made it seem like it was a very stupid question. I just don't think customer service and talking to people is her thing. When I was about to get the actual spray tan, the light above me started flickering like it was about to go out. Kinda like a strobe light, and it kept doing this for the entire 15 minutes I was in there. It was kind of funny honestly, but also made me feel like I was insane because I was also scraping lotion off the inside of a bottle and applying it to my knuckles and elbows wearing only a hairnet. A gosh darn wild ride let me tell you. The tan itself looked pretty good, which is why I gave it a two instead of a one, but they need to do some SERIOUS work with being friendly and having the right supplies. 2/5 for sure.

I wanted to go Burgundy red for winter (think red wine color) and am naturally a dark brunette. I emailed photos of what I wanted prior to coming for the appointment and was nervous because we were going away on a trip shortly after. The stylist who did my hair was really kind, I just don't think she knew what she was doing. My hair came out orange instead of dark red. I left because I was kinda in shock and she was really excited about it and didn't know how to tell her. When I got home my husband asked me what I did to my hair so that's when I realized I had to do something and change it. I emailed immediately and even called the next day after not hearing back via email and finally I just walked in two days later (and it seemed like they were avoiding me because they couldn't get ahold of the owners to figure out what to do). Eventually they scheduled me to come back the following day and tried to fix it but it was still super brassy. I spent over $240 (they didn't charge the second time) but still was really disappointed. Unfortunately I will not return here. Fortunately I found another awesome salon across town which is way cheaper and they seem to know how to use color. My hair has since been fixed (a couple hundred bucks later and a new stylist later).

I did not find my stylist to be very receptive at urban euphoria when I told her it was much warmer than what I wanted, she basically said that was the best that she could do, and, that before the toner it looked much worse. As if that is supposed to make somebody feel better. I don't believe she let it process near long enough. She said that it was a good first step, as if I'm going to let her touch my hair again. What's really disheartening is I have never paid more for a cut and color, and I have never been less satisfied. I have since toned my hair down some at home because I was not going to go out in public the way that it looked before, I'm just sad that I have had to spend yet more money trying to fix this mistake. I even tried to share what had helped other stylist do my hair in the past but again my stylist was not receptive to this. I think she wanted to get out of work on time. I tried to maintain composure and be polite during the appointment because I can understand the amount of time put in, but when I got home and saw how bad my hair was my heart sank. I was impressed by their professionalism and skill. My rating is only 4 stars though because I did feel that the spa was a bit out-dated. The locker room was clean but it felt squished, the robes were pretty old and scratchy. I was offered a bottle of water but other than that, there weren't a lot of spa luxuries, soaps, nice waters, etc. and the rooms were very chilly and light was bright. I just think that the spa could have more of a relaxing feel to it. However, I want to state again that once inside the rooms for facial and massage, I got wonderful treatments and had a great experience. Amanda and Mary will definitely be seeing me again.

DO NOT go here. Sean is the cattiest, nosiest, most petty human being I have met in my life. He is…read morea mix between a middle-aged soccer mom, who makes uncouth remarks about her relatives' appearance at Thanksgiving, and a 40-year-old former high school football star, who still thinks he's a big deal. He has asked multiple invasive questions about my plastic surgeries (because one in particular has resulted in a scar along my hairline), bragged about how supposedly gorgeous he is as a pageant "queen", acted like it's oh-so-obvious that I'm a trans girl, asked where I get the money for my plastic surgeries, and acted incredibly surprised upon hearing that I model for a living. He makes flippant comments about my spray tan (trust me, it isn't obvious), attempted to give my beauty advice, and even expresses doubt that I will be moving to Vegas in a couple months. He has been petty and pompous ever since I answered one of his typically nosey questions by simply answering that I'm transgender (the surgeries of which affect my ability to get my hair done regularly, as it creates numbness on my head, making heat products dangerous). He was completely bearable before that, but now he's intimidated and it shows. He has even given me the worst advice possible about my hair, insisting that I can use purple shampoo on it, without having to worry about it drying out, so long as I use a leave-in conditioner treatment afterwards. I totally did what he said (purple shampoo for ten minutes), and ten leave-in conditioner treatments haven't done jack for my hair. Neither has coconut oil or argon oil, and I'm sure he's going to write it off as me being a drag queen-wannabe when I look ten times better than he could with pillow cushions stuffed in his pants to make him look curvaceous. Utterly ridiculous. Avoid him if you want to refrain from being interrogated and negged the entire session. If he's assigned as your stylist, cancel immediately or ask for someone else. There is no worse service you can receive in the Indianapolis area, and that's saying something.

I…read moremade an appt with Davina and she trimmed and shaped up my hair... while actually listening to what I wanted. Fast forward 6 weeks, I made a full appt for a haircut and highlight. She asked me questions about my color preferences and then before she cut she made sure she knew what I wanted. After she finished, she let me run my fingers through it and pick out spots that needed tweaking. As someone who has short hair, this is so important. She didn't even think twice about my hair neurosis. I left the salon today looking better than I have in months and the price was so reasonable. There is another stylist in the shop, Cindy, whom I haven't been to, but I would trust her as well. They are getting ready to introduce a new line of styling products that I'm excited to try. They let me play in the samples and put them in my hair to see how they felt. I love this salon and how casual it is. They have tons of experience and really value their customers.
