We were exhausted, hungry, and honestly just defeated by the day. And then the door unlocked. A girl inside saw us standing there and just -- let us in. Opened the restaurant early, just for us, out of the rain, on a holiday. I haven't experienced kindness like that from a stranger in a very long time. We sat in a warm restaurant, ate incredible ramen, and I thought about that moment for days afterward. The food is SO wonderful.
