Had a great experience here! The papaya salad is a must try! I would love to come back and try some noodle dishes. Loved the decor and live music when we went!

We have been meaning to try this spot...so glad we did! [[HIGHLIGHT]]As soon as you walk in..such a nice ambience pleasantly surprised with the live music which they have every Friday and Saturday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The decor is very cozy .romantic...dim lighting.. We started out with the chicken curry puffs....just perfection! From the flaky crust to the flavorful middle...alot of places pack with potatoes..not here..chicken filled! Next we had the Panang Curry and the pad see ew w chicken...best I've had in years..highly reccomend!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here on a chilly weeknight for dinner and had a good time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]As it was right after the new years, the place was pretty empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got seated right away, hostess was nice and accommodating. Ordered a few things from the main course menu, and loved everything. Flavors were on point including the spice factor. Would come back to try their lunch specials in near future.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants to order from for lunch while working in town. Honestly, I even love ordering it for dinner as I live locally enough to have it sent to me. Their Tom Yum soup is amazing!

I visited Charm Thai Cuisine recently, and while [[HIGHLIGHT]]the vibe and ambiance were definitely the highlights of the experience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the food itself was a bit of a mixed bag. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is great--very well-decorated and welcoming[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]--but the meal felt fairly average overall. I really enjoyed the green curry and the red curry fried rice, both of which were flavorful and well-executed. However, the basil fried rice was a disappointment and fell below the line for me. Even the drinks, the Thai iced tea and lychee iced tea, were just okay and didn't stand out. The service was standard and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the environment is lovely[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but given the inconsistent food quality, it wasn't particularly special.

Ginger soup with chicken. Light by so flavorful!

Charm Thai is located on Bloomfield Ave. in Montclair, in the same location as at least two other Thai restaurants before it. I don't know whether the owner is the same, but Charm is by far the best of all of them! It was pretty cold the night we went, and so I got the Ginger Soup and added chicken to it. We shared a dish of chicken satay -- delicious, with an equally yummy peanut sauce. I know chicken satay seems to be a standard, how can you mess it up? This chicken was particularly juicy and cooked perfectly. Others in my group shared fried calamari and loved it (I'm allergic to seafood so I didn't taste it). After that, one person got the pad thai with chicken -- excellent -- and other got chicken panning curry. Really enjoyed Charm and plan to return when I'm in Montclair again!

Cute little spot on Bloomfield Ave a little bit west from all the madness down by Wellmont. BYOB and liquor store across the street. Started with the wings and certainly crunchy. Though the chili sauce could've had a little more kick. Udon Drunken was flavorful and a little spicy. You can get hotter if choose. Overall, no complaints. Service was on par. Field goal.

The best Thai dumplings . Also anything drunken at this place is great - just the right amount of spice. Service is good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is fun with umbrellas lining the ceiling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The couches are a bit worn but it's still a fun dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a byob so grab a bottle and friend and enjoy some fresh amazing Thai food.

Candy/ papaya salad

Papaya salad or Candy salad. Not one Thai chili. At least put chilis on the side - Or Just say not authentic instead of delivering food that's full of sugar. I called he said Americans don't like spice - so they assimilated to make it for American palate. Sugary and sweet. Apparently You have to call and ask for authentic Thai food. Wish they would have told me before spending 80 at a candy store - Ok anyone know authentic thai?

Pad Thai

Delicious Thai food! Came here on a Monday night and it was not busy. I really like the interior decors and the vibe was relaxing. For a party of two, we got the pad Thai with chicken and the Poa Taek Spicy Seafood Tom Yum to share. Both dishes came out hot and well presented. The pad Thai was very flavorful and the noodles were perfected cooked. The waitresses there are all really nice. We enjoyed our time here and will highly recommend this place!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I liked the ambiance of the restaurant, the decor was charming, with vintage yet elegant furniture.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For starters, we ordered the thai dumplings which was delicious. Our main dishes were the chicken pad thai, massaman chicken curry, basil duck, and the volcano crispy chicken. For drinks, we enjoyed Vietnamese coffee and Thai iced tea, which were both sweet and refreshing. The pad thai and the volcano crispy chicken were some of my faves, they were really tasty and delicious. I usually don't like duck, but their version was incredibly flavorful. The massaman chicken curry was decent, the chicken was slightly overcooked for my taste. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant offers plenty of seating, making it a great spot for both families and romantic dinners.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was prompt and attentive. Only street parking available but theres a big lot with meters close by.

We started with the fried Spring Rolls, perfectly paired with a delicious and light sauce. Entrees were Masaman curry (w/chicken) and Pad Kee Mow. Both were excellent. Pad Kee Mow has this incredible Smokey flavor and was perfect vegetarian style. Meat would have distracted from the flavors. I have to comment on all the fun details in the decor; right down to the fun, Thai movie posters in the restroom, and even the little decorative tray they bring the bill on. All of it adds to the experience. Shout out to Alex, our waiter, who is very good at his job! If you find yourself in Montclair, don't miss this fun, little place.

The pad kee mao had that smoky wok-char flavor with perfectly chewy noodles and just the right level of spice. Also loved the fresh coconut water to cool everything down between bites. Big shoutout to Stephenie, who took amazing care of us throughout the meal. She was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel extra welcoming. Definitely a great vegetarian-friendly spot in Montclair if you're craving flavorful Thai comfort food.

We are always so well taken care of by Jed, the Lead; Pat, the Manager; and Pupay, Owner and outstanding Chef! I am vegan and my partner is not, and we both love the tasty dishes we are served. We begin with a yummy papaya salad made vegan, with fish sauce on the side for Tom. Then we enjoy vegetable dumplings (last night deliciously fried!). Following that we both enjoy one of their their wonderful curries: Tom's red curry spicy, with vegetables and shrimp, and my red curry (vegan and less spicy) with vegetables and tofu (pictured below). In summer months, we always look forward to finishing our meal with their special mango and sticky rice! The restaurant also has a bakery open 6 mornings a week, serving a variety of specialty coffees and homemade pastries. I am so grateful to this restaurant for accommodating my vegan diet easily and happily. For the best in Thai cuisine when in Verona, NJ, be sure to enjoy a great meal at Arroyo D theThai Elephant!.

The restaurant is tiny and immaculate. From the chairs to the plates to the artwork - everything fits perfectly together (although the "classic rock lite" coming from the speakers might shatter any illusion you had that you'd been transported right into the heart of Bangkok). The food was incredibly vibrant with just the right amount of spice/heat with some other magical components (that's missing from the other local Thai spots we've tried in the past) that had us savoring every bite. The Thai iced tea? Phenomenal and the perfect 'balancing act' while having a dish of spicy food. At first we complained that the portion-size was small but we'd left... stuffed. Our server (Andrew, I believe) as well as one of the cooks that came from the back? Absolutely lovely people that made our most recent visit all the more memorable. Street (metered) parking. Slowly making my way through Jersey's Thai restaurants and seeing which ones stand out... Up next…read moreon my list was Topaz Thai in Belleville, a business that's been sitting in my Yelp collections for awhile. With plenty of positive reviews, I was excited to give it a try! This family-owned biz is on Washington Ave. Parking can be a little annoying since it's a busy street with metered spaces, but there's a small paid lot next door with a limited number of spots. I stopped by on a Saturday evening and was seated right away. The place felt cozy and casual with the charm of a mom-and-pop restaurant. The menu is full of Thai classics, and the lunch specials seem like a great value. Prices are reasonable too, with most entrees under $20. Whenever I try a new Thai spot, I like to get a few staple dishes that I've ordered countless times before. Consider it my unofficial Litmus test! I went with: *Mama Loaded Thai Tacos $11.95 [crispy shells topped with ground chicken, herbs, cilantro, nuts, ginger, and lemon] - Loaded is definitely the right word here. These crispy shells were packed to the brim with flavorful, well-seasoned ground chicken and toppings in every bite. They also served it with a bottle of their EXTRA spicy Thai chili sauce-and trust me, it lives up to its name. Just a few drops had my tongue on fire! They're not traditional tacos, but I liked the Thai-inspired twist on them. The unique flavors were a delicious start to the meal. *Chicken Rama Curry with side of Jasmine rice $16.95 [coconut milk, red curry paste, roasted peanuts, tamarind paste, and fish sauce topped with chicken & mixed vegetables] - The winning dish! The curry was so rich, creamy, and nutty. It was so good that I was tempted to pick up the bowl and drink every last drop LOL. The spice level started off mild, but the heat slowly built up after a few spoonfuls. *Chicken Pad Thai $15.95 [stir-fried thin noodles with egg, peanuts, scallion, bean sprouts, and tamarind sauce] - You can't skip Thailand's national dish! The noodles were perfectly cooked, and they didn't skimp on the protein. I got PLENTY of tender chicken in every bite. The only thing holding it back from being a 5/5 for me was the sauce. Pad thai is known for its balance of savory, sweet, tangy, and nutty flavors, and this was a little TOO sweet for me. The sugar overpowered the other flavors. I wish they had given me a lime wedge to brighten things up. Still, I enjoyed the dish overall and can see it being a hit for anyone who prefers a sweeter pad thai. *Mango Sticky Rice $12.95 [coconut sticky rice with fresh mango and coconut cream] - It's mango season, baby, so there's no way I was leaving without ordering this! The rice was warm, lightly sweet, and infused with a creamy coconut flavor. Absolutely loved the sticky and chewy texture. The mango was more sour/tart than sweet. A riper mango would've made this dessert even better, but this was still the perfect ending to a meal. As for the portion sizes? No complaints. I had leftovers to take home and still felt satisfied. The service was on point! Everyone was kind and attentive. The food came out quickly, so there really wasn't much waiting around. Topaz Thai, you made a strong first impression! Between the homey atmosphere, solid food, reasonable prices, great value, and friendly service, this spot easily earned a second visit. I'm excited to come back and try more menu items!

The cuisine takes the perfect blend of spicy, acidic, sweet, and aromatic to form bold and dynamic flavors. Located right between Belleville Park and the Passaic River on a busy Washington Avenue, Topaz Thai is a beloved family-owned/family-run BYOB establishment known for its Thai cuisine. Upon entering as a first-timer, I was greeted by the owner's wife, Bankie, and led to a table by the window inside a cozy, warm, and welcoming dining area with minimal traditional Thai decor. I decided on the Pad Thai () with fried tofu accompanied by Thai iced tea (). The food was incredibly flavorful and fresh, using the best ingredients, resulting in the perfect balance of spices. Every dish is thoughtfully executed and prepared to provide an authentic taste. The tofu was perfectly cooked. Portion size was just right. The staff was warm, welcoming, and very attentive, which made the whole dining experience even better. Since I had the entire place to myself, I had the honor to speak with the cook/owner, Narit. Over the years, it has become a go-to spot for both locals and visitors seeking a genuine taste of Thailand.

The restaurant had only a few people when we walked in. Two of us arrived first and we were seated immediately while waiting for the third person, who came about 5 minutes later. I mention this detail because a lot of restaurants are strict about not seating you until the entire party arrives (I appreciate Nakorn for not sweating the small stuff). It was my second time and their first time (per my suggestion). We're all foodies so I was confident they'd enjoy! And I was right :) For starters, we shared a curry puff appetizer (3 pieces). Small size, BIG flavor!! Especially paired with the pickled sauce. Chef's kiss! For our main dishes - I had the Chicken Pad See Ew and they tried the Mixed Seafood Pad See Ew (shrimp, scallops, and mussels). Everything was delicious!!! Had it not been for the intriguing conversation around the table, we easily would not have any leftovers to take home. It is a BYOB establishment, so we brough Sake and enjoyed it in the wine glasses provided by Nakorn. I love downtown Summit and all of its foodie glory, but if you've ever been, you know what parking is like. Free after 6pm Monday - Saturday and free all day Sunday. There's a small lot directly across the street from Nakorn, which is convenient. Be intentional though, the parking spaces go fast.
