I found her through a friend and she had beautiful pictures on social media. I contacted Frances and her team, and they were very responsive initially. Finally I was excited to potentially work with her and we exchanged very detailed emails regarding budget, venue, timeline, etc. She asked me to send her a Pinterest board so she could help transform my vision within my budget, and I did as she requested. Then no response. I've sent multiple emails clarifying the dates and following up with our previous discussion. I've heard nothing from her and it's been 3 weeks. I find this behavior very unprofessional. And for the bride who is already stressed with this process, this only leaves you feeling more jaded and weary of wedding coordinators. Long overdue review! Let me first say that if you are looking for a planner with an appreciation for details, a creative eye for design who is bold and not afraid to try new things - then Frances is the best pick for you! Last April, my husband (fiancé at the time) and I were searching for a full time wedding planner and we came across Charmed Events Group. The main reason why we decided to go with Frances were a couple of things: 1) her strong background in design 2) her IG portfolio (I fell in love with one of the Villa Montalvo weddings she did!) and most importantly, 3) the fact that she was able to just get us and understand what we were looking for. We wanted to create a certain style and feel to our wedding, and Frances and her team captured our vision so beautifully, they literally brought our Pinterest board to life!! Frances did so many things for us that my husband and I are forever grateful for! She helped us find our dream wedding venue, which amazingly turned out to be only 5-10 minutes away from where we lived! This is a long overdue review. My husband and I just attended a friend's wedding yesterday. As guests this time we saw all the hard work in their wedding's planning and execution which reminded us of our own wedding back in May 2015. Even today we still felt fortunate that we had Frances helped us with the planning and execution of the wedding. We started our search of wedding planner in Nov 2014. I called a few the Yelp high rating planners, and Frances was the only one that offered differentiated pricing for small wedding (50 ppl or less). She also speaks Mandarin which was what we wanted since both sides of the families and guests were Chinese. We then met with her and discussed more details. We had some basic ideas and were not picky on the details, but we did want to keep the cost down. From there Frances started with venue selection and helped to secure a perfect venue that met all our needs at a low price. Through the next 6 months we communicated via Email, Pinterest and Google doc. It really saved us time and effort - after a whole day work we could stay at home and do all the planning in front of the laptop. Through the planning process Frances really listened to our requests and suggested vendors based on our needs. She also designed all the stationery and the flowers at reasonable price. Not only did they all looked beautiful, it also helped us to keep the cost down. On the wedding day, Frances and her team really delivered and executed. All the decorations were artistically done based on our preference. All my close friends attended the wedding said they could tell from details that everything was specially made for us. I know this is after the fact. I know this has been a while back. I know I should have let go, but I can't. I need to write about this and then finally maybe I can move on with the rest of my life. Again, this is just my 2 cents from my experience and will try to remain as objective as possible; I will try to keep my feelings out of this recantation of the day as I saw it as much as possible when talking about one the most precious and personal moments one can have in life; my wedding day. Perhaps on some cosmic twist it was a really bad day and execution on their part and was truly unavoidable. Maybe, maybe not. But this is my story and you can decide for yourself. I know my wife has her own set of pet peeves from that day, but that is not my story to tell. Many Months Ago: We were slated to get married that August. We wanted someone who could execute as the Day Of Coordinator. We wanted someone profesional yet personal. We did our rounds and we came to the door of Charmed Events. For whatever reason, after negotiation, after back and forth, we came to an agreement that they would have staff onsite the day of our wedding to execute our vision which had been meticulously outlined for them. Essentially, we had already planned everything and all we needed from them was to make it happen the day of. Fast Forward to August 2017: Long story short, we got married, no one died, and everyone had a good time... for the most part. One could say the small things don't matter, that the overall event went without a hitch, that one has to look on the bright side. Perhaps.... but I guess for me to move forward I need to get things off my chest and clear the air once and for all. I think I'm entitled to it, at least as much as one can based on their perspective. But it's the small things that mattered. You would expect that your coordinator to know little things, like who your parents are, where they are sitting and maybe have more personable staff that can do what they are expected to do like watch the box of money like they said they would. I was blown away by the fact that staff who are supposed to watch the money box... the box of money people give as gifts, to not be present at random times leaving the valuable gifts vulnerable. Another thing would be that you would expect the parent's table... the table where the elders are and are closest to the bride and groom to be somewhat remotely in the same vicinity as the sweetheart table as outlined instead of being at the other end of the room furthest away, as if the outline had not been read, much less followed. One would assume that a coordinator worth their value, much less the amount they charge to question anything that would seem amiss in the outline or execution.... but there were never any questions asked, never clarifications wondered about. Looking Back: Either which way, it is she-said he-said at this point. Perhaps it simply came down to miscommunications and misunderstandings and assumptions. I suppose it's water under the bridge. This is more to provide and example of things that can go wrong despite all the best efforts to the contrary. Afterwards we cleared the air despite my initial intention of moving on without saying a word neither as endorsement or warning. Suffice to say, I don't have experience with other coordinators. I've heard from 2nd hand accounts of others that were real horror stories and others as angels in disguise. Unfortunately, even after everything is said and done, you just never know till you know, and by then, at least in our case, it's too late. Long Story Short: I wish you all to do their due diligence and to be on top of everything that you hold important to you less you risk something going wrong. My wife and I hired Frances for our wedding in Hawaii two years ago. We may have even been her first destination wedding that she planned, and boy did she step up to the challenge! Overall we're extremely satisfied with the organization, help, advice, inspiration and eventual execution of our plans. We met with 3-4 different planners before deciding on Charmed. Of course every planner has their own pros/cons and style. We chose Frances because our personalities clicked immediately and, to us, that's an extremely important quality we were looking for. We didn't want a stone faced executive in a suit, nor did we want a grungy 21 year old in faded jeans. Frances was the right balance of young and fun and mature, put together and organized. Being two engineers in Silicon Valley, we weren't the most in-touch with the newest styles and trends, and we felt confident with Frances that she was on the forefront of what was "in" but could also work with classic wedding styling. Throughout the entire experience, Frances was very attentive to our questions, ideas, requirements, and general needs. This includes the standard wedding freak-out moments and emergencies. You can tell that she really loves her job and made the planning process much less stressful and more enjoyable. She made us feel like we were her only clients and she did a good job making us feel important. Frances also helped us do the designs for our invitations, save the dates, and thank you cards. Looking back, we were probably a nightmare to work with, but Frances and Ivy were patient with us and never complained. They incorporated our ideas into what they thought worked with what we suggested. The result was great and the designs came out fun and cute. We had a horrible printer that wasn't responsive or timely - many many breach of contracts, and Frances helped us with dealing with her as well. We also had a few late design changes and additions, including needing to find someone to make a mini mailbox. Frances just said "don't worry, I'll take care of it" and a week later, it was done and perfect. When Frances says that she wants to become your friend, she wasn't kidding. By the time the wedding rolled around, we did considered her one of our invited friends, and not just "the vendor who takes a seat and eats the food." I can go on and on and on, but at the end of the day, when we walked into our reception, we were so amazed by the entire design. It looked amazing and reminded us of those crazy shows you see on TV. Our guests are still giving us compliments on our wedding, even two years out. They've told us that ours is still the best wedding they've been to. Most of that credit goes to Frances. I got married around 6 months ago, and I used Charmed Events Group (Frances) as our full service planner. Amazing amazing amazing!!! I actually blindly found her on yelp and had absolutely no connection to her prior to doing interviews for planners but am so glad we met her. My husband and I had very little "vision" for what we wanted, but Frances turned what we DID give her into an unbelievable day. Our friends and family are still talking about our wedding. You know those wedding shows where some random person gets a surprise wedding by a famous wedding planner...and they step into their venue for the first time and have that WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS MY WEDDING moment? I certainly had that, and so did my husband. The place was unbelievable. I really didn't know what I was expecting, but what we had in the end far exceeded anything I could have imagined. We also had a pretty big wedding with 250 guests and I can only imagine if I had to wrangle everyone myself. She not only pulled it off, she pulled it off flawlessly. Everything ran perfectly, on time, smoothly, and I never had a worry all day (except that it was like 106 degrees that day and our AC was NOT working...but obviously not her fault). I was literally able to say to people when they asked me what was going on "I don't know, can you go ask Frances?" and Frances had it handled, all with a smile. That was another thing that I absolutely adored about Frances. Throughout the almost 2 years we worked closely with her, she was always amazingly optimistic, friendly, cheerful and made everything really fun for us. I tend to be a total stress-ball, but she always made me feel nothing but confidence that it would be perfect. She also has excellent taste. So much so, that I often would just push off decisions onto her. When ti came down to the florist i pretty much gave ZERO direction. We hired Frances for our 200 person wedding and we couldn't have been happier. I work in the wedding industry myself so I work with a lot of planners as a part of my business. But Frances has alway stuck out to me as being super organized, professional, and stylish. I knew she was a winner when I see her getting on her hands and knees to make something look right... all while wear heels. So when it came to my own wedding, I knew we had to hire Frances as our 2 month planner, meaning I would have planned most of it and Frances would come in to tie up the details and coordinate on the day of. My husband was very skeptical because he felt that I could do all the designing and he would execute. He didn't understand why we would pay someone for something he could do. Now after the wedding, he say he was so wrong and could never see our wedding coming together without Frances and he thinks she was worth every last penny and then more. Meeting with Frances before the wedding was always fun, like meeting with a girlfriend, a girl friend with notebooks and pens and writing down everything you're saying. All her emails were to the point and addressed every single little detail I commented about. Come wedding day, I did not even talk to her because everything was already taken care of (Compared to other weddings where the planner would come in the morning and go over details as I'm doing the brides makeup and I can just sense the anxiety in the room rising) I experienced all calmness with Frances. Because I've worked with weddings so much, we were pretty organized and covered most but Frances caught all the details that we did not. If I had a problem, she had a solution. On the wedding day, everything ran soooo smoothly. If something went wrong, I did not know about it. I know that were some hiccups because we had a lot of DIY projects but I am not going to even ask because we didn't notice it during the wedding. Frances was ALWAYS two steps ahead of us. We'd call her and ask.. where is the.. and she'd respond with, "already in your hotel room." She has such an eye for aesthetics, like I said, we did a lot of DIY projects and Frances put it all together so beautifully for our wedding. I am a super control freak but with Frances I felt no one else could execute my vision better. I felt comfortable with giving her the power to make all the calls on the wedding day without checking in with any of us. And she totally did. Her team were like ninjas. They were everywhere doing things but also no where to be seen. But if I needed something, like a stool to stand on (so I could take off my heels while taking pictures), it would magically appear out of no where in the hands of her team. Afterwards, we sent out thank you gift cards to every team member and were expecting at least 6 girls. Frances laughed and said there were only 3! Amazing! Frances and her team made sure we, our bridal party, and our guests had everything they needed and were enjoying themselves. Also, I knew we were be giving Frances a hard time because half our vendors did not speak English but it didn't matter. what I love about Charmed Events compared to other event coordinating service is that Frances has impeccable taste! You will know that when you meet her in person. Not that she is really nice and professional, but I think it's hard to find a event coordinator with a good sense of style and at the same time help you to keep in your budget. I have worked with other event coordinators before, and they always convinced me to spent so much more than I originally was willing to. However, not so with Frances, she is able to pull an amazing events with everything you wanted and also keep your wallet safe. She is totally like a fairy God-mother to me when I host my graduation party for 150 guests and 25+ graduates. I am not kidding, with the minimum budget I had, she created a graduation party with ball-room with a dinner package in a hotel, flowers, invitations, guest cards and favors. The room was so beautifully done with our "Red Carpet" theme for the graduates that all the 150 guests was like "wow!" when they walked into the room. Stephen and I just had a beautiful wedding on Aug 2,2009 and we owe it all to Charmed Events Group! When we set the date and booked the ceremony/reception site, we were excited and nervous at the same time. Even though we had a rough outline of our wedding plans, we were still unsure if we were going about it the right way. Fortunately, that was around the time we met Frances. From there, it felt like a huge weight was lifted from our shoulders. She is a very charming and warm person. Unlike many wedding planners, she was open to new ideas and made sure to make things that seemed impossible at the time possible. For example, instead of having a traditional dance time and dj, we wanted to incorporate dance performances from our own family members (similar to dancing with the stars). It worked out perfectly! She even incorporated fine and meticulous details to supplement our ideas. Each meeting we had with her, she came very prepared and organized. She took the ideas we had for her, broke it down into manageable parts, and constructed an outline for us. This outline was extremely useful! Stephen and I followed it and found ourselves so much more stress-free- it relinquished our anxiety and moreover made wedding planning that much more enjoyable- as it should be! Ivy in Charmed Events also was extremely helpful. She helped me create a surprise slideshow for Stephen and did an excellent job. There were multiple pictures, effects and ideas I wanted to incorporate in my surprise. My surprise turned out better than I could have ever imagined! Stephen loved it. Frances also met and communicated with all our vendors (flowers, photography, sound technician, site coordinator, etc...) and made sure everything was set and in working order. THIS WAS SO HELPFUL! On that day, we both felt surprisingly peaceful. We knew we were in good hands. I just had my wedding about a week or so ago with about 160 people, and I really think hiring Frances was probably the best decision I made. We got the full service planning package and hired her around April/May 2016 before we even found a venue. In the beginning, my husband was not totally sold about getting a planner, but with over a year of working together, even he agreed it was all worth it, and she definitely surpassed our expectations. Initially I was choosing between two people; Both had great reviews, but I had heard from several unrelated people that Frances was the best, and that her artistic eye and beautiful designs were top-notch and unparalleled. I had heard that some of the weddings she had done were featured in magazines and wedding blogs, so although she was slightly more expensive, we ultimately chose her because of the design aspect. In the beginning there were small things here and there that worried me; I know Frances is really busy and so sometimes she did not respond as promptly as I had liked, but I mentioned this to her, and she apologized and explained, and thereafter, she definitely communicated in a way that we discussed to help alleviate some of the stress I had. As time went on, I really grew to trust her and realized that as a new bride, I was self inducing a lot more stress than necessary because I just did not understand what needed to get done. She was always cool, collected, and reassuring when I was stressed or lagged with some decisions, and regardless of whether or not I thought I knew what still had to be accomplished, at the end our wedding day was perfect. The planning part was made super easy with how organized everything was in our shared google docs. I saw Frances working on stuff in the google doc in real time, and we were always reminded which sections to finish by which dates which helped me keep track of everything. It's really easy to communicate with Frances. I love that she is direct, and that I can also be direct with her. Whether I'm voicing a concern about time, my opinions about designs or budget, Frances always responds in a professional and positive manner, and constantly seeks to solve the problem. I was super upset and stressed out about a week before the wedding when we found out that there was an issue with a vendor and our venue. Frances cut to the chase and let us know ASAP, didn't shift blame, and we worked out a solution that didn't lose us any money when we originally thought we would forfeit a $750 deposit. I think we actually ended up saving money from this mishap. The best part of working with Frances is her artistic design. I had worried that with a wedding planner, it wouldn't feel like this would be me and my husband's wedding, but more about what the wedding planner wanted for our wedding. But, I feel like we were able to collaborate to create something that used her expertise while infusing my husband and my personalities, and we had so much feedback about how our wedding just seemed so "US." What I also loved was that we had parts of our wedding that were super unique and NOT cliche. With her suggestions, I had some budget concerns, where I asked her which were the must-haves and which ones were not as important. (Do I shell out the extra $ for nice chairs or better draping? I went with the chairs and don't regret it at all!) We always worked out something that I could afford but still looked beautiful. I feel like at the end, my wedding looked as if I had spent so much more on it than I actually did. Everyone was wowed by our floral design that I know she worked with our florist to accomplish. And, our reception room was just amazing. Maybe I'm biased, but I really think my own wedding was the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to. Even though my husband was a bit skeptical at first about how everything would look, he said that he was absolutely floored at how amazing everything turned out. The things Frances really advocated for were all worth it, SO TRUST HER! Plus, the designing process was really fun! On the day of, everything went smoothly. Were there little things here and there? Yes, but I don't think it was Frances fault. We were supposed to use our floral arch from the ceremony as a backdrop for our sweetheart table, but the arch couldn't fit in the door, and I was informed first thing in the morning. Was there a small scare about the money box? Yes, but actually Frances's team had already put everything away. I had several guests mention that they appreciated having people guide them to where they were supposed to go, and so the flow of the wedding and our already compact time schedule went off perfectly. Everyone important got to enjoy our wedding to the fullest because Frances took care of everything and I never had to worry! I've worked with Frances many times before I was engaged, so when it came to my own wedding, there wasn't much doubt that she would also plan my own wedding. Firstly, I've been in the wedding industry as a makeup artist for 10+ years and I have yet to see Frances plan an ugly wedding. It simply doesn't exist. A review that is long overdue! We are probably saying a lot of what has already been said... Frances and her team at Charmed Events Group absolutely DELIVERS!! A little background on the type of bride/groom we were--we did not have a clear-cut vision of exactly how we wanted our wedding to be. All we knew was that we wanted it to be modern and whimsical but also fun yet romantic... When I was on Pinterest, I saw everything under the sun and loved it but it made it very difficult to narrow down exactly what goes well with each other--there were just too many ideas that looked great but of course wouldn't look great combined together! Frances and her team helped to refine our vision and had the patience to help us with multiple drafts of inspiration boards and multiple drafts for our save-the-date and other graphic design needs for our stationary and other details. Our wedding ceremony and reception were both held at the City View of Metreon in San Francisco and we were initially worried about how the space would work since it was a humongous space with capacity of 2000 people but our wedding would only be for 200ish people. We were able to transform the space into a cozy environment yet utilize highlights of the space. We were anxious going into the process since we live in Boston but Frances was definitely super available to respond to any angst we had. She took care of sending out our save-the-dates and invitations as well as receiving our RSVPs. Charmed Events Group even created all the details we loved such as our ombre geometric shapes used at the dessert + sweetheart table, our "lovestruck" table numbers, heart pieces guestbook, chevron arrow escort wall, infinity napkin holders, to name a few. And on the day-of, everything was as smooth as it could be! If there were any issues or tardiness in prep, I didn't know about it. We both felt it went seamless! We had so much fun and really enjoyed our day. Our wedding day was beautiful and choosing Charmed Events Group was one of the best decisions we made! Francise planned my son's first birthday party and she did a wonderful job!! She planned everything from start to finish so that my husband and I did not have to do a single thing on the day of the event. All we had to do was show up and enjoy our friends and family. She even brought along her team who stayed for the entire event who helped greet guests, refill snack cups, and tidy up throughout the party. For a very reasonable fee, Francise took care of everything! Her team designed and printed the birthday invitations (she delivered the invitations to my work!), secured the venue, found entertainment for the party, set up and cleaned up. She even had the foresight to pack up souvenirs for me to bring home - the table numbers, menus, and favors! I could not be happier with the end result of the party. My friends and family have already been taking ideas from the party. Even people who were not invited and saw pictures have asked me where they could get similar items that were used for the party!! I would highly HIGHLY recommend Francise and her team if you're thinking about getting some help with a party. My husband and I recommend Frances 100%. Our wedding was about two months ago and we have only the best things to say about Frances and her team. Early in the process we did our research and interviewed a few wedding planners. We first met Frances in NYC (where we live) as she happened to be visiting the city soon after our first introductions over emails. Frances was early to our first meeting and she continued to be throughout the whole process. She answered all our questions with experience, expertise and excitement. We walked away with confidence that our wedding will be in great hands. Our minds were made up that night and we went ahead with contracting Charmed Events for full planning. We came into the planning process with many ideas of our own. We wanted to be very involved and we chose to work together to make our ideas come true. We also added many of France's innovative suggestions along the way. We didn't want to replicate ideas straight from Pinterest so Frances provided us with ways to make it original. She also provided us with many great vender options to choose from. The florist we chose even gave us a discount just for being France's couple! Frances is very clear, organized and prompt with emails and phone calls. We decided on a budget in the beginning and there were many times she let us know of opportunities to save. I was always comfortable asking her questions as she provided honest answers. I often liked asking "What would Frances do?" Frances is incredibly personable and a positive person to be around. Not only did my husband and I enjoy our meetings, my parents enjoyed attending as well! We often met at coffee shops and even at our home. On top of everything, she even met our dog, attended catering tastings and helped me choose bridesmaid dresses at the dress store. She truly became a member of our family! I can't express how grateful I am for Frances's calming personality. She kept completely calm when I called her 2 weeks before our wedding to make big floral changes to our invoice. She listened to my concerns and acted quickly to make the changes. Now that our wedding has passed, we have have wonderful memories and beautiful photos to remind us of our magical day. Looking back, I have no reservations or regrets on our decisions. Frances was a key contributor in making our wedding day the most romantic and dreamy day of our lives thus far. read more

Below is a long explanation of why I wouldn't recommend Charmed. Long story short: The owner stood me up for our scheduled phone call. I followed up 3x, still no response. Unprofessional, wouldn't want her planning my wedding. ----------------- I'm really...confused? I was on the market for a full planner and designer for my wedding and heard good things about Charmed and Frances. I reached out, got a nice reply and started scheduling a call together. Frances seemed to really like facetime, which I appreciate because to me it's a sign she wants to get to know her clients. This was during a time when I was staying late at work so facetime wouldn't be possible. She also invited my fiance and I over to their office in the South Bay which I appreciated as well. I told her we are based in SF so it wouldn't be possible. When she heard that, she told me she would be in an all day meeting in Marin and could swing by SF to meet us. I'm thinking, wow! this girl is really proactive, this is great. Unfortunately I couldnt commit at the time because warriors playoff game 1 was not yet scheduled for saturday or sunday yet (what a weird reason, but true) and we had tickets. so we text, I tell her we wouldnt be in SF. She was nice about it, said she left her meeting in Marin early anyway. She emails me Sunday or Monday asking for my availability for a call, she says she's free Thursday. We set a time and I told her to let me know if anything earlier opens up. I really wanted to speak with her and pick a planner already! On Monday night, she emails me saying her Tuesday night opened up. Great! We set a time, Tuesday at 7pm. Phone call because I would still be at work. It's 7pm..I wait and wait and wait some more. I email, I text. I was shocked at the lack of responsiveness. Don't all good wedding planners pride themselves in responsiveness? I was pissed, then I got worried. I felt like Frances was so friendly and responsive the previous week and now she has fallen off the face of the earth. Even though I didnt know her, I truly felt like she wouldn't be so unprofessional to do this to a potential client. I held off on writing this review in case I get an email saying something horrible happened and therefore delayed any communication with me. So I email one more time because ...I need closure?? Now two weeks later, I feel like this is it. Unprofessional, as I can think of 5 different ways to better handle this situation. I understand wedding planners are overloaded, but if for some reason she no longer could take any more clients, it would be best to just tell me. A simple apology if it were a slip up would be appropriate too. Frances has a team of folks, I can't imagine all of them are gone and can't respond. This situation reminds me of one of those dating situations where you thought a date went really well, the guy says he will call, but he never does. wtf! I hope others find this review helpful, I'm sure she can do great things, but just beware that she is capable of very unprofessional behavior as well. read more

Charmed Events was the wedding planner for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding. From start to finish, Frances (owner) was a pro. She was accessible, dependable, very detail oriented and a pleasure to work with. She inspired confidence so we could relax and enjoy the special wedding weekend. Her selected vendors were amazing and also professional. The wedding and reception/dinner were flawless in execution and design. Our daughter is very design focused and felt extreme confidence in letting Frances design and execute their vision. Many guests commented on the amazing ambience and unique design and feel of the wedding and reception. She worked well with the florist, d.j. caterer, photographer, videographer and the day was flawless. Frances took great care of really listening and understand not only the bride and groom's wishes but also our family. Our first meeting with Francis Liu was in her charming office located in downtown Campbell. We knew right away, Francis would be the right coordinator for our wedding. We had a rather extravagant wedding at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco in the grand Garden Court. She not only has a great eye for design, but she is well connected with the best venues and vendors in the industry. Frances and her team are all very professional, organized, and up-to-date on the latest trends. They helped us so much that all we needed to do was come up with our guest list and point to what we liked and disliked, then show up on the big day. They made the entire process so easy for us, we almost felt bad when people kept on giving us credit, when the credit for the entire event should go to Frances and her team. Our event was absolutely stunning. The wedding site, cocktail reception and the dinner reception was decorated and adorned with beautiful flowers, furniture, lighting, linens and accessories. The guest commented that it was the fanciest, most well timed event they had ever been to, and every detail was impressive to them. Charmed Events Group not only designed and executed our wedding day vision, but also designed and created our invitations and save-the-date reminders. Everything tied in together so perfectly, we look back to our wedding and feel like movie stars, not just a bride and groom. Thank you Charmed Events Group. I highly recommend Frances and Charmed Events for your wedding planning and coordination. My wife and I just got married in Berkeley at the Brazil Room a couple weeks ago, and we had a blast at our wedding. Frances played a HUGE part in that. My wife was understandably stressed out going into our wedding weekend, but after we did the handoff to Frances, we were very confident that we were in good hands and were able to really relax and enjoy ourselves. Frances did an excellent job handling communication with our vendors and coordinating our big day. Hiccups always happen with big events, and whenever anything came up, we would just let Frances know and she would take care of it. She made sure that all of my wife's homemade crafts were set up and perfect. She handled last minute seating changes, wrangled all of our vendors, and managed our tight schedule to make sure everything was running smoothly. With Frances running the show, my wife and I only had to worry about having a good time. Unless you are a project manager for a living and are completely immune to stress, YOU NEED A WEDDING PLANNER/COORDINATOR LIKE FRANCES. She is a great listener and makes sure that she understands what you want, and then she executes that plan to a T. We just had our wedding and it was absolutely beautiful and amazing. Charmed Events and Frances produced an absolutely stunning wedding. Feedback I received from all my guests, even the ones who don't typically get into this kind of stuff, said that this was the most perfect wedding they have ever attended. There were personal touches everywhere that made the wedding unique and beautiful. Frances on many occasions during the wedding asked me how I felt everything was going and if I needed anything. Her attentiveness was very much appreciated. Like all weddings, some unexpected things came up at the last minute (like me getting lost on the way there and dragging our getaway car through some mud). But that didn't freak her out and everything worked itself out. The pacing of the wedding was awesome. She was able to "read the audience" and in gauging the time, made some game-time decisions to change the order of the recession activities. This had a noticeable effect on the flow of the days festivities and were very good calls. I highly recommend that you bring on Charmed Events as your partner for your wedding. I also recommend you getting the full package since she put in so much time outside and during the wedding to make it perfect. Also, Frances has awesome taste, so even though everyone will come into their wedding planning with ideas of what it should look, let her drive the creativity a little. I have a long history of ripping apart wedding planners, and I'm excited to say that this is the very first raving review I am writing for a wedding event planning group! Charmed Events recently helped plan and coordinate the wedding of one of my closest friends. Aside from the fact that the bride & groom continue to gush endlessly about how great Frances was, I personally have never seen a wedding coordinator truly give the quality level service one expects for the money paid. Frances is highly organized, patient, involved, professional, artistic, detail oriented...and you can see how she thrives on doing this sort of work! From my perspective as the maid of honor, the thing I liked best about her was how involved she was with the planning process. Most wedding planners are highly calculated about the hours used up, and limit the amount of time they spend both planning with the bride, and on each wedding gig (which I'm sorry to say, shows on the day of). But Frances gave so much attention to my friend's wedding that a) I don't know how she manages any other clients b) It gave ME more time/energy to plan for and be thoughtful about other smaller things like the bacchelorette party & bridal shower! I also really liked that she isn't they type of wedding planner who is mean to everyone except for the couple. She was just as helpful to me when I needed to ask her for small things here and there, and was so unbelievably prompt about giving me the responses I needed. My husband and I were not planning on hiring a wedding planner, but then we realized just how stressful planning a wedding quickly becomes (even a simple one). Hiring a wedding planner was one of the best decisions we made with regards to the wedding. For those working on a tight budget, I recommend spending less on items like the wedding cake, or the invitations, to budget for a planner. Charmed Events did an amazing job with the wedding. Frances was able to pull off a classy wedding, which is what my parents wanted, while still maintaining a simple, yet informal atmosphere (which is what we wanted). Charmed Events did a great job designing the gift bags, the centerpieces, the name cards, and the schedule. When planning my wedding I knew I needed someone who would let me be involved but who would also understand where I needed help. Frances and Ivy were AMAZING. I opted to have CEG take care of my graphic design and Ivy was a dream with everything. I was able to show them what I like then out came a custom design just for me! Frances and her team made me feel like I could sit back and relax, which is hard to do for a bride! I put 100% of my confidence in them, especially on the day of and was more than impressed with the service I got. Frances is an amazing wedding coordinator. My wife and I were thrilled to have her as a part of a very special day just 48 hours ago. We had a destination wedding in San Francisco, and Frances was an essential part of the team that made the day go smoothly and nearly carefree for us. For the two months prior to our wedding, Frances was literally our eyes, ears, spokesperson and even food taster! Yes, she enjoyed being our food taster! :) Frances addressed all the concerns we had with vendors, prepared a great timeline, made sure that we had everything that we needed, including a lot of last second needs that popped out of nowhere. Frances has such a sweet and engaging personality. Yet, she knew when she needed to be firmer so that things would get done. During our wedding day, Frances was very protective of both of us, and was essentially a friend that was looking out for us. What can we say - Frances is awesome!! Words cannot adequately express our profound gratitude for everything she did and how stress-free we were able to be over these past few months with her by our side. What can we say about Charmed Events and Frances... First off their services are AMAZING. From the time that we first met Frances, she was super friendly, professional, and very organized (which says a lot about someone who will be coordinating your big day). She was always available to talk, responded promptly and was very flexible with respect to meetings. Our meetings with her were always so fun. =) We hired Frances for her day of wedding coordinator services. With Frances, we felt assured that our special day would run smoothly with no major surprises. She coordinated with all of our vendors and helped draft our entire timeline for us which we followed the best we could. She was there at our rehearsal and provided guidance and gave direction to our bridal party, which made the day of that much easier. Her team is also very creative. We provided them an image of the table number décor we wanted and they were able to make them for us easily. Also, they created a remarkable escort list (it turned out so cute and completely matched our theme!) which helped our guests find their seats. Frances' vision for the wedding is invaluable as she provided so much helpful information to us, that it made our lives that much easier. From the folding of the napkins to the details of the table linens, her vision touched all of it. She was there from the start of the day until the cleanup at the reception. She even helped with the cleanup and delivery of remaining items to a set location. With her and her team's services we were able to take a step back and really enjoy our moment and let it soak in rather than have to worry about who was sitting where or what to do if an issue came up.
