I am so, so glad that I hired Bri at the beginning of wedding planning. It's been two years since I hired her (covid postponement), and she has been an enormous help every step of the way. We just hired her for month-of coordination services, not her full planning services, but she was always quick to reply to any questions we had, even before the "month of." She had great recommendations for vendors and was willing to give us her honest opinion, so I felt much more confident in the choices we made. Bri was also incredibly flexible and understanding when we postponed out summer 2020 date to summer 2021, which we really appreciated. As the wedding approached, I became even more thankful for Bri's help. Knowing that she had everything totally under control was such a relief. She put together a lengthy timeline, coordinated with vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page, and helped me organize all the items that we would need to have for the wedding. It was great to know that nothing would fall through the cracks! Finally, at the rehearsal and on the wedding day itself, Bri was such a source of calm. A wedding is a happy moment in your life, but it can also be stressful. I'm a big CONTROL FREAK and I wanted to be hands on from start to finish, so I was very weary when searching for a day-of-wedding-coordinator, but Bri put me at ease! My first impression of her was that she was very quiet and smiley. I was slightly afraid she wouldn't be able to withstand my enthusiasm (which often gets confused with aggression) but don't let her smile fool you! She's just listening to what you have to say and she knows how to respond to each request / question very professionally; she never missed a beat! I met with her for our introductory meeting and she drove all the way to me even though I offered to meet her half way, she emailed me to check in throughout the wedding planning process, got in contact with all my vendors, scheduled meetings with the venue and site coordinator and built the day-of-timeline. Although I wanted to be hands on in everything, when I had to actually let go and let her handle things, I was so confident in her and wasn't afraid of anything going wrong. I trusted Bri and she proved herself with all the curveballs that got thrown at her the day of the wedding. I'd have to say my wedding was a perfect day! Yes, there were tiny things that nobody could control, but she was there to ensure that I didn't notice a thing. She managed the day really well not only overseeing the other vendors, but actually setting up my reception decorations (she even asked me for photos examples just in case I had a vision). - I went to a few weddings where I had no idea that there was a wedding planner; I helped the families of the Bride and Groom set up / clean up the reception décor because their planners "didn't include that service". Bri stayed until a little after midnight on my wedding night making sure I got back everything that I wanted, packed up my gifts, and ensure that everything was taken cared of. Hire her! Bri made our entire wedding day go smoothly. We opted for the month of coordinating and it was one of the best decisions when planning for our wedding. Bri's personality is perfect for coordinating a wedding. She is calm, so when it starts to get a little crazy she makes it feel like there is no stress involved. We had some things come up the day of and she took care of them in an instant. There are so many aspects that come up the month before the wedding that we weren't ready for. Bri is organized and has great communication skills in making sure we knew everything we needed to get done that last month. Several people came up to us at the wedding and mentioned how helpful and amazing Bri was. She went above and beyond what we thought she would do in helping us and gathering information for us. Bri and Desert Child Events worked with me for my long two year engagement to plan the wedding of my dreams and I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. I was so comfortable on the day of my wedding that everything was being taken care of and running smoothly because Bri is ON TOP OF IT! I cannot even fathom how stressful my wedding day would have been if Bri and her team were not there on the wedding day keeping everyone on schedule, communicating with vendors, and making sure everything was set up perfectly. It is a ton of work but because of Desert Child Events, I didn't have to worry about any of it. I was able to focus on enjoying myself and taking in all the love from my friends, family, and new husband. My wedding day ran so smoothly. There were no disasters or emergencies and all of my guests had a great time. So much of that is because of Bri's meticulous planning and organization. Wow - Bri is amazing! My fiance and I hired Desert Child Events as our month-of wedding coordinator. Our wedding is not until September of this year but Bri has been amazing since day one. Her response time is incredible - she responds to any of my questions or inquiries just minutes after I send them. She provides insight and advice on so many wedding related questions. Hiring Bri and the Desert Child Events team was seriously the best decision I made during my wedding planning process. Not only did I completely fall in love with Bri's style after stalking their Instagram and website but I knew she was "the one" based off her style of communication. Communication is so key during this process and I appreciated Bri's response time, willingness to answer all of my questions (no matter how many I had), and attention to detail. I unfortunately didn't get to have Bri at my wedding because her beautiful baby girl happened to be just a few days old, but I fully trusted Bri and the team she had created. I knew Bri wouldn't put my wedding in the hands of someone that wasn't just as capable as she was. I ended up working with Vivian who took on the role of my lead month of coordinator and Mary who assisted day of. And oh.my.gosh. did I absolutely adore these two. First off, I had a bit of "drama" with two of my vendors who happened to be the two most crucial of the event (the venue and the catering) and Vivian jumped right in to give me advice on taking care of one situation and then completely dove into the other and went to bat for me. Bri jumped in as well and they seriously saved me from a total bridal meltdown. They handled the situation with so much professionalism and I owe them so much. They went through all of my contracts and were able to come to a middle ground on the overall situation. I jumped in as well but the overall outcome was because of their support. I will never stop saying thank you to them. Then the day of... these ladies were busting their butts making sure every little detail was perfect and in order. From moving incredibly heavy wine barrels themselves, to convincing my ring bearer to walk down the aisle, to creating beautiful displays with my personal decor, they did it all and did it with such grace. Everyone was so impressed by them. We also stayed right on time with everything, which is nearly unheard of with weddings. If you are looking for a wedding coordinator/planner, THIS is your team. I promise you won't regret it. And if you are on the fence and don't know if you want to hire a coordinator/planner, DO IT! Again, you won't regret it and the money will be well spent. I echo other people's reviews--working with Bri is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! I looked into probably 15 planners before I came across Bri. I had most of the wedding and decor planned but needed her help the month and day of for the timeline, vendor communication/coordination, and setup, as I didn't want to think about details and logistics at all the day of. I usually love and really need to know every detail of what's happening, and just like some other people have mentioned about themselves, I'm a really big control freak. But with Bri, I trusted her completely to take care of our wedding day, which is unusual for me. I gave her instructions on how to set up and where I probably didn't give enough detail, she filled in the blanks with exactly how I envisioned stuff to be set up. She did everything so flawlessly and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She's super organized, down to earth, doesn't ever look stressed, and thinks about the details that you don't think about. Bri and her team are the absolute best. I worked with Bri as our Month-of Coordinator and she went above and beyond her duties to ensure that everything went smoothly. From the first time I reached out to Bri, I knew she was the right person! I had tried reaching out to other coordinators and for some reason just hadn't heard back. Bri responded within 20 minutes of my email being sent and every other correspondence after seemed just as quick! Our wedding planning hit a bit of a snag when our venue was unpredictably shut down. Bri was so incredibly helpful during this time and helped give us guidance, reassurance that everything was going to be okay, and even put together options for other venues for us, which she did pro bono! As the wedding date neared and we met with Bri to go over the day-of timeline she was so organized-- I knew we were in good hands and felt completely at-ease leading up to the big day. She worked with my mom, she worked with our vendors, she worked with our venue, and all I had to do was show up! On the day of the wedding she came with an assistant, Emily. They both did a great job ensuring everything went as planned. They hustled around the venue all day-- setting up, directing guests, keeping my husband and his groomsmen from seeing me get ready. I tried planning my wedding for two months and gave up because it was so stressful and overwhelming for me. I have no experience in this field and thought I could handle it without a coordinator. My husband and I were married July of 2016 in San Francisco and we had the privilege of working with Bri Childs as our wedding coordinator. Bri is the owner of Desert Child Events and as the website states, she took care of every little detail imaginable! We were not sure what to expect from a wedding planner, but Bri was professional and extremely personable. In the beginning, Bri met with us in person for a quick " get to know you" session, which my husband and I really appreciated. She also met us at the wedding venue to plan for set up and she made sure to meet our caterers. My husband and I felt so comfortable with Bri that we even invited her to the rehearsal dinner because she got along so well with our families. Bri checked in with us throughout the entire wedding process. All of our vendors were provided a time line so everyone was on the same page. On the day of the wedding, Bri was there to make sure set up was done and the wedding was running smoothly.
