My wife and I have been coming here for years and we've ALWAYS thought it was a great place for a foot massage...that is until last night. Like many other times before, I made a reservation with a particular therapist that we both really like. It turns out she wasn't available like I was promised but no big deal, that happens from time to time. The real issue are the changes that were made because of the Corona virus. The owner somehow decided it was a good idea to place a thick piece of hard plastic on the massage tables. Have you ever been in a house that had plastic rolled out on the carpet in high traffic areas? Well the only thing separating your skin from that stuff is a thin disposable paper "sheet". The icing on the cake is that its also covering the little hole for your face when you turn over. They cut an "X" in the plastic but you absolutely can not breath. My nose, which I assure you is not that big, actually got wedged in the slits when the therapist put pressure on the back of my neck. That happened 3 times, ouch!!! When I was done and paying I told the owner about it but she didn't seem to care. I tried to make sure she understood (English is not her first language) but she completely did not care!! If I were the owner I would absolutely value the opinions of customers, especially loyal ones who have patronized my business for years. This place has always been great, I've referred many friends but its either me or the plastic. read more

This little massage place is located in the historic ole town of Yucaipa - nice to find a place close to Redlands. I just got back from a getting a great 80 min massage that included my back, feet, face and head - I feel good. I'm a stresser who gets tension headaches and tight neck/shoulders. These types of massage do wonders for me. And for only $25 for an hour or $35 for 80 min - why not discover the benefits for yourself? The set up consists of 4 massage chairs in the side room public area, 2 private rooms and two of those chairs you sit backward in so they can target more your neck, shoulder and back. The folks who run this place are very nice and setting was a darken room with soft music. The male massager I got was pretty good - use the right amount of pressure and used different oil and lotions. I asked for 80 min and got 80 min. Did I mention that they are open til 10pm? This is the best place in the Redlands/Yucaipa area that I have found for a great massage. I have been going here every week for the past 2 months. They are all very nice and make you feel welcomed. I have also tried the Shangri-la Therapy for in Redlands, there they don't give you a full hour of massage. Here at Charming Massage you get every bit of an hour and sometimes longer. The table smelled FUNKY! No wonder. They don't change the sheet. The vinyl table pad was peeling off which means they cannot sanitize it properly! Same song played over and over. The massage therapist kept pulling out my hair as she worked on me. She kept stretching my arms behind my back as high as they would go then dropped them. I live In Yucaipa and have been going here about 1-3 times every month for the last 3 years. I almost always get the hour long foot massage but have had the hour long body massage a few times when I'm really sore. I'm an endurance athlete, concentrating on Ironman triathlons and marathons. Many times I've entered this place beat down, stiff and sore. When I leave 60-80 minutes later it feels like I only did 30% of my workout. The music is pretty bad but it doesn't smell like so many other discount massage places. Sometimes I put on my own playlist/earbuds. One thing I don't like is that their personnel regularly leave very suddenly. I think their work visas expire then it's back to China. However, when this happens the next girl I try is usually just as good if not better. I'd say between my wife and I, we have only encountered 2 bad therapists and about 10 great ones. Incredibly, many of these 10 great ones have been comparable to bona fide LMTs. For the money, it's the best place you'll find. One last thing, they never cheat you on your time with one exception. Currently there seems to be only one therapist that speaks English. If she's doing your massage, expect her to leave you for a few minutes every time the phone rings or the door opens. Otherwise I always get about 3-5 minutes extra time. read more

Don't be fooled by the smile store front. Got a pregnancy massage here for $30 and it was awesome. Head to toe, including scalp and feet and actually ran over an hour. I am visiting on vacation and decided to get a 30 min foot massage. Its a little different than other massages I've had but I loved it. Its in a room with like 6 other beds and you leave your clothes on. The massage included a mini back, head and arm massage in addition to the foot massage. Just had my first massage at Charming and I will definitely go back. Prices are very reasonable and the therapist Yoyo did an amazing job getting all the knots out of my back and neck. She was very professional and asked me several times if the pressure was ok. I actually had her increase pressure as she was a bit cautious for my liking.
