Someone suggested the restaurant, and I did not do any follow-up research. Although the restaurant is connected to a liquor store, you cannot consume alcohol inside. But, I guess that was not a deal breaker because I was more interested in some good ol' BBQ. At the counter, I started to look over the menu because there were quite a lot of interesting items. They have a long list of various BBQ/meat items and a bunch of sides. For my dining pleasure, I went with the two meat (general BBQ and sausage), two sides combo (greens and mac n cheese), which was about 18 bucks. The price for the amount of food wasn't too bad. To be frank the food was not what I expected. Ok, the food was not horrible, but I think that I might have set my expectations too high. Normally, when I think of Texas BBQ, I think of meat that is slowly cooked so that it's very tender. The meat here seemed like it was cooked on a grill and mixed with BBQ sauce immediately prior to serving.
