Walk in and order at the cash register. No pricing on menu provided. Has a big selection of Italian dishes- pastas, entrees, pizzas, calzones, salads, etc. Once you order, they give you a numbered table card and your drink cup. I ordered Veal Marsala and fettuccine Alfredo. They brought out garlic bread and I asked for Marinara to dip the bread in. The first sign that it was not going to be very good was the marinara sauce had no flavor. Like they forgot to season it. Rather disappointed in the entrees as well. Neither dish was seasoned enough and the veal looked to have a tomato based sauce. Couldn't really taste the Marsala sauce. Staff was friendly. Restaurant was clean but the food doesn't live up to the Yelp and Google review scores. read more

I saw reviews calling this place a hidden gem but either someone forgot to polish that gem before we got there, or they hid it so well that we never found it. Our experience? More cubic zirconia than diamond. Prices were fair, so we went all in: seafood Petraco, chicken Alfredo, calamari fritti, NY pepperoni pizza, and sangria. I feel like we tried everything but the chef's patience. The clear winner? The pizza, hands down. It was impressively close to authentic New York style. If we lived nearby, we'd come back just for that slice of glory. The rest? Meh. The sauces had less personality than elevator music, and the proteins were cooked like they'd offended someone. The calamari had potential because it wasn't rubbery, which is a win, but it was so bland I considered baptizing it in the marinara out of mercy. That said, I can confirm this spot is kid-friendly. Our toddler treated the place like his personal amphitheater, and not a single soul flinched. That alone earns them a gold star in my book. We've been here half a dozen times now - I'm way too slow in getting this review out! This has become our go-to place for an easy great Italian meal. I'm a big pasta fan, and every dish I've had has been really good - I'd happily eat any of them again, except there are so many to choose from I haven't gotten the same thing twice yet. What grabbed me that most folks would avoid is the Spaghetti Aglio E Olio with anchovies. I know this probably won't be your first choice but don't worry - as far as I can see there aren't any bad choices!! This pizza's good too, and you can get a slice or two the way you like if you don't want a whole pie. If you like salads you'll be happy here too, always fresh ingredients in good combinations. Establishment and appearance was nice. Three tables were seated in front and a party of about 30 in the back. Ordered a pepperoni calzone. I could see it was made fresh and if like the last one I had, I was tasting it already. Decided on a fountain root beer, it was weak. Poured out and sampled the coke, again it was weak. Sampled the Mr. Pibb and it was ok. Pepperoni calzone arrived in abt 16-mins all golden brown with an oil slick leaking out the middle. The food runner even mentioned, "apologies as there's a lot of grease leaking out." I asked for napkins and was handed a stack. I used almost the whole stack. The calzone looked great but there was more than 4-5 tablespoons of grease. Yes; I know pepperoni is greasy but this was way too much. Taste? Bread, good. Mozzarella, rubberband chewy! Pepperoni, slight spice but not very flavorful. Taking in the whole calzone, grease, chewy, and the paste sauce straight from a can ... I got up and left. I'm always on the hunt for different pizza to try so I thought we'd give Italia's a try. I see they also have a variety of Italian dishes, but we really just wanted to try a different pizza joint. This pizza is my NEW FAVORITE. We ordered on a Sunday night over the phone after browsing the well organized menu on their website. The man was friendly on the phone and the pies were ready pretty quickly for pickup. We decided to order an 18" "Combo(Choice of 3 toppings)" - Sausage, Onion, and Roasted Red Pepper, and just a 14" Plain Cheese because I wanted to taste the quality without toppings covering it up. The 18" pie with toppings was HUGE and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by red onions instead of white, but a little bummed about the flat sausage pieces instead of crumbles, but it's fine, it's just my preference. The 14" plain was also so good! There was a decent amount of cheese, no need to order "extra." Both pies had savory sweet sauce, if that makes sense. Not TOO sweet, and not straight savory tomato, there was a very nice balance of flavor. One thing I want to point out, if you like a thicker crust, this may not be the place for you. The crust was a little thin. Maybe it was just stretched too far for my order, but just a heads up. I loved it anyway! Will I return? Yes 1000%! read more

Have been coming here for years but it just has been getting worse over time. For example, our last visit had several issues. Firstly we ordered mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce. The sauce was cold and the mozzarella sticks were lukewarm. We asked a server if we could get sauce that was not cold and she told us it was served that way(of course that's ridiculous). We also ordered a large pizza with pepperoni. The pizza was really really greasy, and they did not want to give us many napkins. The pizza itself and most of the food on the menu is really over-priced given the type of restaurant and especially given the food quality. We won't be back again, used to really like this place, now its just not worth the money or the drive. read more

This is a nice neighborhood Italian cafe. The food is very good. The chicken Marsala was delicious. Their pizzas have a great crust. We had a family get together in their private room. Worst service and food ever and the owner has a bad attitude and doesn't know how to run orders on his line. 6 people for dinner, 3 ordered cheesesteaks and three ordered plated meals, plated meals came out in 25 minutes. Sandwiches took 45 minutes. Owners excuse, one side gets busier than the other! Really, and then he wanted to argue about it? Mozzarella sticks with all the cheese cooked out of them. A chicken cheesesteak that barely had any meat in it?! Don' t waste your time, especially when they fuck up and can't even apologize for shitty service! Second review. Worse. Although a decent atmosphere, Italia's fails to deliver anything worth another experience. Probably ended up paying over 60 dollars and the only thing I got good out of it was a Caesar salad that was fresh and light. The pasta here is overcooked, mushy, and low quality. The sauce is the blandest of bland. Like it's not even bland. It's air. The baked ziti, is not ziti, it's penne. I'm sorry but when restaurants do that it enrages me. Don't ever accept a dish that's brought to you on the menu baked "ziti" that is penne pasta. Anyways, I needed a redemption. I opted for a pizza to take home because I needed some carbs, and the pizza was greasy, as indictive of a low quality cheese, and cut really poorly. Needless to say I had to cut it myself, if I hadn't it would of leaked cheese and grease everywhere on the other slices or let alone my 500 dollar outfit. There is no flavor here, and to pay as much money as I did for no flavor is really the same as paying for something your just going to throw away. Bummer. I want to like this place. They do so many things well. They are good for groups. We are there a few times a year with 4 to 8 people that arrive at different times. It works here. But the food is a mixed bag. The salads are good. Everyone comes for the pizza. It's not consistent. Maybe there is inconsistency in the kitchen? But why canned mushrooms? And then there's the wine. If you would like a bottle of wine, ask that they open it in front of you. They don't follow the tradition here with wine. I'll include a picture from last time. My mom and I dined in at italias and overall the food was pretty good. First we both got a garden salad which tasted good but the presentation was not so pleasant. I got the penne alla vodka sauce which was excellent. And my mom got spaghetti and meatballs which is good as well. As well as the garlic bread is okay not the best. The only problems were was there was some flyss that were around our food, and when we walked in workers in the back weren't wearing their masks. Overall this place has very good food, and a good choice for some nice italian food. read more

My husband I went as we wanted to try a new place. First, the server in the dining area was the only one and she was HUSTLING so I have to applaud her. However, the food was...a lot left to be desired. Both my husband and I ordered pasta dishes which came with salads. His was a garden salad..presented sloppily and covered with raw white onion, sliced thickly which he didn't find appetizing. The onion was overpowering. My Caesar dressing was oily and not very tasty. I got the shrimp and crab in a rose sauce with penne. The penne was VERY over cooked (almost mushy), the shrimp under seasoned, and the sauce was super runny and not very flavorful. It needed generous salt and pepper. My husband ordered the veal with prosciutto and eggplant I'm a Marsala sauce. Again, under seasoned and oily. Oh! The calamari-from frozen, not at all seasoned, with bland marinara. Neither of us finished our meals and neither of us were inclined to take it home. For the price, we won't be going back. read more

Potential to be a delicious salad if they weren't hoarding the other vegetables -$7 mozzarella sticks were small and obviously frozen 4 minutes prior to serving, accompanying marinara sauce may have been frozen also Do yourself a favor and stop looking if this is the best Italian food this area can muster. Don't let the location turn you away. I have found more often than not, a restaurant in a strip mall has some serious issues. So far nothing stands out as horrific. Same can't be said for the Chinese place a few doors down. That one had a funky smell, was hot as heck, so walked away, unscathed. Back to Italia's Corner. Nice clean, well decorated place. Good amount of tables and some outdoor seating. Can't imagine eating outside in Baltimore, but, I guess you crazy Marylanders do stuff like that. I would have preferred table service, but for me that is the only real knock against it. I can't say the food was amazing or world changing, but it was solid good Italian food. Very large servings, so the value is there. If this was a free standing, table service restaurant it would be a solid 5 stars. As it is, it's still closer to a 5 than a 4. read more
