Amazing breakfast sandwiches! Specifically the sausage, egg and cheese on an English muffin!

The Glenlake Cafe is so good. Not much overhead so get there early for lunch but the food and prices are well worth the visit.

I came in a little after lunch shift the other day and was a bit indecisive about my order but the very patient and nice girl at the counter helped me decide. I ended up ordering the Meatball with Provolone. The sandwich was well made with large meatballs and both the bread and the meat tasted fresh. Previously I had issues with the line situation, but in this case there was only one other person in the restaurant, so that was less of an inconvenience. The other, more serious issue centered around gnats and flies. I can confidently say that was not an issue when I revisted the other day. I was pleased with my second visit and the friendly, helpful girl who served me, I believe her name was Leah. I plan to return and perhaps I can convince my work to cater from here in the near future.

"Giant" sandwich is somewhat true in that the bread is over-sized compared to sliced bread -- but meat was lacking for sure. Friendly greeting upon entering. Clean and tidy...and naturally lit store inside. Nice patio seating. Kind of expensive for a simple sandwich. Not worth another visit.

The space is super light, airy, and gives off that laid-back coastal vibe that makes you want to stay a while. The menu leans into that "wellness but still indulgent" balance. everything I tasted was fresh and thoughtfully made. The coffee was a standout too, smooth and not overly sweet, which I personally loved. A lot of people come here for the breakfast burritos, pancakes, and specialty lattes, so it's a solid brunch option if you want something a little elevated from the usual rotation. Service was friendly and pretty quick, even when it got busy, which I appreciated. It does get packed, especially on weekends, so just be ready for a bit of a wait.

Drinks: I ordered a matcha latte, iced with oat milk. I knew it was a mistake as I watched them make it and the match came out of a squeeze bottle. My mom ordered hot black coffee, claiming it tasted burnt and was undrinkable. Mains: I ordered the strawberries & cream pancakes which came with three extremely tiny pancakes, that tasted like whole wheat. The "fresh jam" was overly sugared and had a smoothie like consistency. For $16 I was hungry and disappointed. My mom ordered the grain and egg bowl, wait it was underwhelming. Shocked there are so many positive reviews.

And parking is not the easiest, you will likely find yourself in the Harris Teeter garage. But the wait is worth it. As a NJ native and something of a sandwich aficionado, I have a rather discerning taste for a good sub sandwich. So upon a friend's recommendation, I went with the classic Italian. It came with prosciutto, hot capicola, genoa salami, and sharp provolone cheese. Note to everyone: Go for the sharp provolone, not mild! The first thing I want to say about this sub/hoagie is major props for the bread. It was crusty with sesame seeds on the outside, pillow soft inside. About the only thing I would wish is that it was semolina bread. Outside of that, kudos for the bread. Plenty of meat on the sandwich, which is key. I HATE HATE HATE when I order a sub and they give me something like three or four slices of meat. Not gonna name names...but that's not an issue at PH. I really like the grab and go options for various food items like long hot peppers, broccoli rabe, pickle chips, and dirt pudding. Excellent addition. I'm taking a star off since they only offer bottled drinks, you can't get free refills. No brewed iced tea, that's only available in bottles too. I'll at least forgive them for having Pepsi products since that's a Philly tradition. I'll definitely return to try their Italian tuna, chicken cutlet, and roast pork options.

The med sub was alot to eat and I forced myself to finish all. My only issue was the cost. And the lack of sanitation standard for lack of head coverings. At $21+ for the simple lunch I might come back sometime but clearly not on a regular basis.
