Food: 4/5 family owned deli that has the cheapest, meat-packed sandwiches for a cheap price. I am pleasantly surprised that I was able to eat out for lunch with my husband for less than $30 for once. Besides being jam-packed full of meat, the sandwiches taste like if you just made a sandwich at home. Nothing super special, but a great cheap lunch stop option. Service: 5/5 kind cashier and quick service. Efficient even with a long line of people. Ambiance: booth seating available to dine in, seating about 4 people per table. As I first walked in the door I was overwhelmed with the array of menus on the wall. Not being from the area the nice lady behind the counter recommended the shrimp salad or corn beef Rubin so I opted for beef. It was a good recommendation and the beef was piping hot with just the right amount of toppings. It was so hot though it may be better served open vs. wrapped in paper if you're dining in. My sandwich rye bread was toasted but steamed too making the bread doughy. Still a great sammich. My buddy had the shrimp salad and that roll look good. Cream of crab was decent and could have used more crab in my opinion. Hospitality was awesome and there's a side entrance for seating with maybe 10 tables. Great deli! read more

Wonderful experience! We ordered 2 of the 6 foot subs for a school event. We didn't have a lot of people show up for our event so I assumed we would have tons of leftovers. I usually order a jaw breaker, governors club, shrimp salad sub, cheese steak, mother clucker or Eddie Muenster's Revenge all of which are good. I decided on a turkey and ham club with bacon, expecting something spectacular. While the sandwich was decent, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. It was a basic club, but I think the flavor of the meats just wasn't to my taste. On the bright side, I got a parking spot right out front, which was convenient, though I can imagine parking being tricky during busier times. Solid food at an affordable price! Very rare nowadays. This place is a staple in the Catonsville area for breakfast and lunch. A little disappointed when I want a sandwich at night, but they've already closed for the day. All the more reason to order your breakfast, then some sandwiches for lunch and dinner later on. The food holds up pretty well, but nothing beats a freshly made sandwich. As you enter, you are welcomed by someone at the counter where you can order. Woah! Can't believe I hadn't been here before. The menu is massive and the line appears a little chaotic, but the staff knows what they're doing. We ordered quickly and got our food fast enough. Fast, friendly service with decent sandwiches. I ordered the Reuben because it's kind of my measure of a sandwich shop and my favorite deli sandwich. Unfortunately, by the time I got outside to eat it, it was too soggy. I would have preferred that they slice the meat and heat the separated slices on the grill before stacking. That would draw out more moisture before it made it to the sandwich. The sandwich was tasty and large, though. Best deli around! This place got some big recommends from friends that used to live in Catonsville. We stopped by when we were in the area to pick up lunch to go. The are really strict on COVID safety precautions, so only 2 people in at a time and then you wait outside and they will bring your order out. I really appreciated their due diligence about making sure all customers have a safe experience. I mean, I couldn't go here for my first time and not order the jawbreaker...and neither should you. That sandy is BANGIN! I don't want to get too in the weeds about all of this, but even just the way it was layered impressed me. Some bites I could only get some of the sandwich and I was thinking of wow I'm glad they put the coleslaw here and the tomato here and the that there etc etc. Anyways, this place is awesome. I am a huge fan of this Korean-owned deli shop, located in Catonsville! Their menu, especially the types of sandwiches they offer, is EXTENSIVE - the different types of combinations that they come up with with the meats, the cheeses, and the toppings, is pretty overwhelming! They also have char-broiled burgers, salads, and sides. I ordered "The 3 Stooges" (stacked with bacon, sliced turkey, and VA baked ham) and "The Jawbreaker" (stacked with corned beef, turkey breast, roast beef, cole slaw, and Thousand Island dressing on 4 slices of bread) - the sandwiches were assembled so perfectly - no mess here! They are deli-wrapped and cut for easier handling and for easier consumption. The bread and the ingredients were all super fresh and so tasty! All sammies come with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, but you can always customize. The place is tiny, so they only have 1 party come in at a time to order; once you order and pay, you step outside and they'll get your food to you once its ready. I LOVED the food here. Everything about it was what the average person looks for: big portions, fast service, and a cheap price. I had a sandwich that was as thick as a phone book that was only 9 bucks -- clearly this spot is inflation proof. The ambiance is a bit dated, but it's a deli, so I don't really mind. I'll gladly inhale my sandwich in my car if needed. ;) The menu here is HUGE and they have combinations that I never thought could be possible. We are trying to go out to more local restaurants and businesses. We had never been to Taneytown Deli before. It is only open for breakfast and lunch. I had a day off and my partner works from home so we took the opportunity to get lunch here. OMG this place is so great. I got the chicken salad sandwich. My partner got the surf and turf which is shrimp salad and roast beef ON ONE SANDWICH. We got macaroni salad and onion rings for sides. We had enough food for lunch AND dinner AND still had more leftovers. The portions are huge. Everything was just delicious. The ladies working at the counter were very friendly. We got our food to go. The dining room is closed due to the pandemic. Street parking. I am very happy that we tried this place. I can't wait to go back. YUMMM. read more
