Customer services is poor. This Bank is disorganized and not efficient. The people that can help are not available and make the waiting a very long process. If they only want by appointment then they should put it on their waiting entrance. Bank customer service SHOULD MAKE THEMSELVES AVAILABLE at lunch time when they expect people with issues to come and they should arrange their lunch breaks at slow or down time. They make one available customer service but they are also on the phone which should be done by General chase ( phone) and not by branch customer service. Had a horrible freeze on my account for a week and chase fraud department couldn't tell me anything but to just wait for the investigation to be over and I was so mad about that because I couldn't touch any of my money and i had bills to pay so I was super stressed but just today I got some good news thanks to Victor for calling everyday to find out any updates on my account and he tells me it's unfrozen! Very disappointed with Chase Investment Services employees VP Albert and Asst. VP Victor at Alosta/Azusa branch. My client went to them for advice for short term higher paid interest product for their liquid funds being used for their duplex property rehab. The client was placed in a long term product which cost my client large early withdrawal penalties.They also allegedly made derogatory comments about me and my services also. I'm glad the client was related to me otherwise I would of never known the malice of these two unprofessional Chase employees. Horrible customer service. I came in to the branch to activate my debit card and the bank teller sees beyond confused as to what I was trying to do. After asking me to insert the debit card that was not activated several times without success and providing me with nothing but attitude she referred me to a banker who was able to help me. Welp 5 accounts, 2 savings accounts, 3 credit cards. Came in to open a joint account w my fiancé a few hours before close time. This bank has no idea what their own process and ATMs do. They provide you with outright false information and try to gouge you for extra fees. I went to the teller window with my non Chase Card after waiting in a long line. I've withdrawn from many Chase banks using my card. Aurora was the person "helping" me. She couldn't process it. So I was forced to go the ATM where they told me the limit was $3000. I asked them, even from my card? "Yup, as long as your bank will allow it." My banking representative was on the phone with me the entire time. This Chase bank never pinged my account to request the money. I go to the ATM and put in the amount and also it never pinged. It will only send the request to my bank if I do $400 which they charge a $3 fee for every time from this bank and my bank. Again the representatives keep spouting off the information of yeah, you can. Yeah, we tried to process it. They never sent a request for my bank, Fifth Third. They don't know what they're doing. It was a waste of time. Why can other Chase banks do it no problem but this bank can't figure it out? UPDATE: I went to Wells-Fargo who uses the same "cash advance" system for withdraws and have no problem. They didn't waste an hour of my time and tell me false information about ATMs and sending requests to my bank. read more

I always use their ATM drive thru. If you go here in the afternoon, try, TRY and use the ATM on the left! The one on the right side is hard to see because of the sun glare! Maybe someone with those Polarized sun glasses will help. I had a hard time pushing the buttons on the screen and tried to squint, and see what the screen was displaying. Was in the process of closing my account because within a week of opening it, it was closed due to suspicious activity leaving me with no money all because of an error on their part. The problem couldn't be solved over the phone so had to get it fixed in person. Whatever right? So not wanting to deal with future hassles I closed the account but couldn't get my money for two business days and when I did go in after that to retrieve my funds I was treated by Lisbet Reynosa with sarcasm and snobby tone. Yesterday I went in with my husband to open an account. I walked in and was helped by Cynthia. I wanted to add my husband as a joint due to immigration wanting to have an account together. (My husband is legal to be here) She ask me what my citizenship status was as if that even matter. I told her yes I am my husband not yet, but he does have his social security number not a TIN number and a California ID with proof of address. She told me that he needs to be a citizen to open an account. When I know for a fact that is a lie. I told her I have family members here in the US who have no papers and they have bank accounts. I would give minus stars if that were possible! Chase Bank (most recently the Azusa branch on Alosta/Barranca) is the worst of the worst. I was witness to and involved in the worst banking errors which lead to a huge chain of horrible events. I'll refer to client A and client B as the names so Chase doesn't retaliate even further because I am being forth their horrible banking practices and customer service. Client B opened an account at Chase to help Client A thru a very difficult time. That account was opened on line and an appoint made to deposit and provide the requested info to open the new acct. When the initial deposit was made in person at the Alosta/Lonehill branch in Glendora CA, the banker didn't use the original (online acct #) and created another account where the deposit was made. Client A was going thru a divorce, sold the house, and was being admitted to the hospital for an approximate 90 day in patient treatment plan. Client B was going to pay bills and obligations while Client A was in the hospital. Client A and B went into the Alosta/Barranca branch to deposit the ck from the house sale. They signed the ck as requested in front of the teller... presented 2 forms of ID, the deposit was ACCEPTED, and told there would be a 7-10 day hold. After waiting 7 days there was still no sign of the money in the acct. Client A was now in treatment and Client B went to the Barranca/Alosta branch.... told the teller who accepted the ck deposited it into the wrong (inactive acct ) not the active one and referred to call customer service. After a 2+ hour hold time client B was told to go back to the branch who advise to call customer service. This went back and forth several more times. Client B went into the branch last Thursday and was helped by Jazmine who called customer service... she was told it was resolved, money would be transferred into correct acct in 1-2 business days. Needless to say it was not. Another appt made by Client B to speak a banker at the branch, another call made by branch to customer service, no resolution. Branch manager Cynthia called Client B and was told the acct with the large deposit was closed due to inactivity and the acct/money was on hold. Sooo basically Chase accepted the deposit, teller put it in a wrong/inactive account which resulted in the money being locked with no access to it, Client A's bills, storage unit, and rent is now late thru NO fault of Client A, going off of the assurances from Chase it was resolved sClient B has paid over $1,700 from a personal acct with no way of getting that money back.... only consistent response from everyone at Chase is 'I'm sorry there is nothing I can do'. WRONG ANSWER! HORRIBLE customer service! Client B even spoke to the executive level at Chase and no resolution! They are holding a very large sum money hostage while Client B is at risk of loosing everything due to it... Chases assurances of it being resolved mean absolutely NOTHING and Chases only response is 'there is nothing we can do' pretty darn sad they are NOT accountable for a whole multitude of their errors which results in Client A being put in an extreme level of increased hardships, while Chase has the money but won't allow it to be accesses and used to move forward. read more

Terrible service for the average customer!! With over 20 teller windows available, management decided to shut down all teller windows but two!! Their Big push is automated teller ATM machines inside the bank, replacing the wonderful tellers they had. Manager is right there as you walk in, to forcefully convince you the inside ATM is better then your favorite teller. ARE YOU KIDDING!! Most customers here are seniors, not wanting to partake in Chase's bad management decisions. Expect long lines, manager pressure, and long delays!! If you are an ATM person, you usually don't go inside the bank anyway, and use the outside ATM's!!! If your close, use the Chase in San Dimas!! An employee was able to help me with my disaster of a situation. Coming in I was pretty annoyed with what happened to my account, but Andrew was able to clearly address the situation and quickly give me a solution! I went during rush hour, but he was able to see me within 5 minutes. Update: He told me he took care of a situation, but the person I'm speaking over the phone with says different. I'm a little frustrated because I feel like since he had to stay after hours he rushed the process and said he took care of it, but didn't because he wanted to leave. Now I'm stuck without money for another week. It could be miscommunication through another end, but I got three different answers from many Chase workers and none of them could give me the correct information or actually help me with what I needed. read more

I'll normally use the Chase on the other side of Glendora but this one works fine as well. It offers drive thru ATM so that's nice late at night or if you don't want to get out of your car. Generally when I come in for deposits the tellers are all very friendly and professional. I can never remember to bring a check so I can write my account number on my deposit slip so they wrote it in for me. No judgement whatsoever. Once, when I was opening my savings account the worker was dealing with a small amount of common sense. He asked me for my social security number-loudly. I have been happy with Chase overall. We have a personal and business account at Bank of America because my wife likes them but I opened a business account at Chase to give them a try. So far I really enjoy them at least a lot more then BofA and recently I wanted to expand my relationship. I wanted to open a new checking account with a nice size deposit and I made an appointment. Then I get a call and the rep cancels. Then I make another appointment and it gets canceled again. I'm still happy with Chase overall, although I am now opening this "new" account at Wells Fargo, but I would stay far and away from the Chase on 1188 E. Alosta Avenue, Azusa, CA 91702. Why is this bank always so busy? There's a line of people and more poeple sitting and waiting. I wish they would staff them more. Only 2 tellers working. We ended up going to the automated machine. The good thing is that they let you take out more money. It also allows you to choose your bill size. We avoided waiting in line and was out of there in 5 min. They have remodeled the inside so now they have all these privacy cubicles. It makes the place look smaller. I wish they would staff them too. I saw a lot of empty cubes and plenty of people waiting. All these big companies trying to make the big bucks by cutting hours. It sucks because we all have to suffer waiting in line. read more

Stay away from the Atm's that are inside the bank! I have had 2 major issues with these machines in the past 12 months. I deposited $1420 cash into one today and it malfunctioned. It did not get credited to my account. The machine spit out a receipt with nothing but a phone number to call in order to file a claim. I spent over 2 hours in the bank speaking to two different bankers one being the branch manager today trying to get this cash credited to my account immediately. I was unsuccessful! Chase's policy does not allow you to have immediate access to the CASH you just deposited into there faulty machine. Instead the customer must suffer and file a dispute, once that is done your funds will be available 12 hours later!!! What kind of policy is that Chase?? You sway your customers to use these machines versus using an actual teller. Shame on me for trusting that I could deposit my cash into your machines thinking it would be available immediately without issue. I repeat this is the 2nd major issue in 12 months with these machines. I beg other customers, do NOT deposit cash that you need immediately into these machines. Use the teller, that will guarantee that your funds are there immediately for use. SHAME ON YOUR POLICIES CHASE! Cash is cash and should be credited immediately, regardless of your malfunction issue that you continue to have with these atm machines! read more

I came to close a guardianship account for my son when he turned 18. The process took over 3 weeks, six branch visits with two of those days when my son and I were left waiting in the lobby for over 5 hours. On one of the days the manager called my son, indicating the check is ready for pick up. When my son arrived nothing was ready and they had him wait in the managers office for over 6 hours. The manager never produced the check. I can't believe customers are expected to spend that much time waiting for a simple transaction to be completed. The branch manager blamed the delay on their computer system. While we waited we were not offered any compensation of any kind. If this is an error plaguing all Chase banks, this bank should not be in business. What an utter waist of our time. The worst part of our experience was the insensitivity portrayed by the manager for our time. This is a sorry bank with sorry excuses. The branch in question is located in mAzusa. read more

I was a customer here a couple of years ago. Their staff was awful...at least the ones I was in contact with. I remember there was an issue with the amount of check I deposited and they had to verify it. It took forever and when I went in to ask about it I was met with jargon and dismissed. This bank is great. The bank tellers and other employees working in the bank are so friendly and always ready to help you. I'm not sure why people get so mad at the their policies, their policies are made to protect people against identity theft or any other possible theft from your banking info.
