I've been a loyal customer of Chase for years now and this location is my go to location ever since I moved to the Valley. Service here is literally PERFECT. It can't get any better. They have complimentary coffee and there is never a line for the tellers. They have very fast service and get the job done quick. I have never had trouble- and I've come here to order British Pounds & Euros, deposits, withdrawals, print checks and much more. I've also been helped with the personal bankers and they're also patient and very helpful. They're detailed, honest and will explain to you the benefits of various accounts, home mortage etc. I opened my Chase Sapphire card here too and I can't be any more satisfied with their awesome service! read more

I had both good time and bad experience today. I went to open an account with chase Bank at the request of a friend who doesn't speak English well. First i went to in la crescenta branch,but they told me to mke reservation and come back the next day. It was the first time I knew that I couldn't open a bank account in one day after living in the US. Does this make sense? Zero stars if I could. Need an appt for everything. Have to download the app or give all info to creat an account to schedule an appt to do something in person. Great way for them to get your info, email and phone number, to bombard you. WORST BANK EVER!!!! Came to three locations today, this one was by far the rudest. One lady (second desk from the back of the bank) was nice enough to say take a seat and she would find a banker to possibly help me. The one right next to her (desk at the far back of the bank) cut her off and told me I need an appt. She actually interrupted her co worker while she had her own customer she was helping. Shows how much personal attention she was giving to her own client!!! To close an account, guess what, you need an appt. What a bunch of BS!!!! Never do you need an appt at B of A. AVOID!!! AVOID!!! AVOID!!! Take your business elsewhere bc Chase definitely does not deserve it!!!!! Almost all the desks at the locations are empty too so there aren't even enough employees to help you! Very bad experience with Navninder Sing. Came on a Saturday to open a first time account and he was rude and had an attitude. He made up information about my salary and other bank accounts without asking me. I only found out when I went to the branch in La Cañada and they went over the information with me. I do not recommend this branch. I hope management does something to correct this. read more

This is our second time that we need the services of Chase Bank for very sensitive issues. Luckily we were assigned Josh R. in the Montrose branch on Honolulu Ave to assist us. The CUSTOMER Service we received was exceptional. Josh knew exactly what we needed. Read and explained the instructions given to us, went over our documents in great detail, double checked each and every document to make sure everything was done correctly. He was very nice in his communication with us. He showed respect and understanding towards us. He offered guidance for our future ventures and took his time to answer all our questions without any hesitation. Very happy with the customer service he awarded to us. I recommended this branch to a friend to open a new account, and when they went, Josh told him they needed 2 forms of ID. They discussed options since he only had his CA Drivers License, and finally Josh told him he "may" be able to apply online with only the DL. I asked Josh if he could confirm that policy for me before I leave the branch or I was going to cash the check for him myself, with my Chase account. We both started looking, me on my phone. Josh just stopped looking, didn't ask anyone else, just looked at me with his hands in his lap like time to leave and figure it out on my on. Not a good experience for me or my friend. read more

This is the best bank I have ever been to and I am of the age that went into banks.....alot!!! Debbie Jimenez helped me thru a very difficult situation with care and humor and great banking skills. While I was there another banker a nice young man helped his customer by getting her water and walking her to her car.....with so much concern and a smile. But when that rare occasion does arise when I need to speak face to face with a bank teller, the tellers at this Chase bank location have been very friendly and kind. As far as bank decor goes, Chase has the best decor of all the banks on the block -complete with their employees all color coordinated with Chase's signature blue :) Its a bit difficult to rate a bank badly since they're all [pretty much] the same thing with just different levels of customer service, decor, hours, and such. I actually really like this particular Chase because the tellers are friendly, quick, and they interact with you and it almost makes you forget you're at the bank! Another thing I like about Chase is that they're open later than Bank of America and are even open on holidays like Fourth of July and Columbus Day! read more

It's like visiting another DMV in Montrose Chase. I don't know if these male bankers are new or not. But they just repeated same words, "I can't do that because the system doesn't appear your new account status." seating errogantly. They made me come back three times in one hour. The truth was they were looking at my other account. After calling banker in DTLA, they finally knew they were looking at different account status. It took VERY VERY LONG TIME. Anyway the manager called my husband and appologized it but I can't understand why chase don't train the bankers to make all branches consistent and the bankers are so rude and unflexible. read more

Go to another branch for anything other than the teller line. Bankers are completely useless only know how to check off a box and cant think. I lost my drivers license the guy asked for a photo ID so I provided another government issued one and he said he couldn't do anything with it only drivers license and debit card. I used the same ID a week before at the same location and it was fine. Double standards and the manager backed him up as well saying that he is very competent. We have been a customer of Chase bank through a few credit cards for several years. We would go in to our local branch in Montrose to pay our bills and everyone was friendly and nice in a genuine way not a we want your business kind of way. It just felt natural and not forced. I don't like to go into the bank. I pulled into the Chase parking lot to run errands today at about 6pm, one of which was to deposit a check. Upon parking, I received a phone call and decided to grab my coffee first from Coffee Bean next door and then walk into the bank and so on. While on the phone, I heard someone yelling out like a crazy person telling me I can't park here. Very intimidating and inconsiderate large man with a plastic walkie talkie. So I changed gears and went up to the ATM instead to make my deposit since I couldn't get off the phone. When I started to walk towards Chase, he began to follow me. Before I approached the ATM, I sat on a bench to finalize my call and I could see this guy stalking me. Very uncomfortable feeling. Funny thing is, he was hiding behind a sign and checking out to see if in fact I was walking into the bank. Had I been off the phone, I would have given him my two cents. I spoke with that Chase branch right after and they said that I can park there for a reasonable time. Excuse me but no one is going to change their parking spot while visiting Montrose shopping center. Chase, if you have a parking problem, find another employee. I've been a royal customer of Chase for more than 2 decades. However, I am thinking about change my bank for their poor service. I went to the La Crescenta branch today to close one of my savings account, but all the bankers were busy, didn't even looked at me. There was no one to help me, so I drove to the Montrose branch. There were 2 people ahead of me, so I waited about 20 minutes for the 2 people ahead of me to be served. However, without explaining the reason, when there was a banker available and it was my turn, a couple who arrived after me was invited. I sat and waited about 15 more minutes, so asked one of bankers if there is anyway he could help me because I waited more than 30 minutes already and I need to run. The banker was helping another woman who came just before me, but closed my account which took only several minutes while he was on hold for the woman. I asked the reason why the other banker chose to serve the couple who came after me and his answer was because the other banker is an expert in opening account. The other banker could have closed my account first and then served the couple. It seems like Chase cares more for people who open accounts than who needs to close accounts.
