My mother recently went to Chase to cash a $21,000 check, and what should have been a routine banking transaction turned into an extremely uncomfortable and upsetting experience. During the transaction, the teller, Danielle, asked my mother whether she was "legal," referring to whether she was a legal alien. I find this question deeply inappropriate and concerning. My mother was there to conduct a legitimate banking transaction involving her own money. If there were specific identification or banking requirements that needed to be verified, those requirements should have been explained professionally and respectfully...........not by questioning someone about whether they are "legal." In 2026, when people are already living with so much uncertainty and anxiety, customers should be able to walk into their bank and feel safe, respected, and treated with dignity. A customer's appearance, accent, background, or perceived immigration status should not determine how they are treated. There is a huge difference between verifying someone's identity for a financial transaction--which is completely understandable--and making a personal and potentially discriminatory comment about whether someone is "legal." I sincerely hope Chase addresses this situation and provides better training to ensure that customers are treated professionally and respectfully. My mother should never have left a bank feeling questioned or uncomfortable simply for trying to access her own money. Chase, this is not the level of customer service your customers deserve. I recently had a very frustrating experience with Chase Bank. I was on hold for more than two hours while trying to speak with someone about my business account. For a financial institution of this size and reputation, that level of delay is concerning. As a business owner looking to trust a bank with managing my company's finances, timely communication and accessibility are critical. I understand that high call volumes can happen, but two hours without resolution is unacceptable. I hope this was an isolated issue, and I would encourage improvements in customer service responsiveness, especially for business clients. read more

The teller Erica was so rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I simply went to deposit my check and get the receipt. She did not ask where I wanted the deposit, she closed everything before I was done. I asked for the receipt and she rudely stated she closed the account. She was rolling her eyes, and sighing loudly. I was so kind to her, even apologized if I was an I convince to her and I thanked her for her help in the end. So I don't actually bank with Chase, but I do have a southwest credit card with them. I like to use this credit card for the miles points. So not sure why so many people are having hang ups with this location. Most of the top 5 banks now only provide you with one to two tellers, This is to encourage people to use ATM's or do electronic banking. I personally have no problem with this location. Every interaction with their tellers has been pleasant and swift. The longest I've waited in line was maybe three minutes. Not bad, because their competitor across the street it worst. The tellers move as fast as they can and always have a smile. My last visit their were 3 of us in line 2 tellers and someone walking through the line to get your deposit slips ready. This is more than I can say for some banks. As a former banking personnel (and not from this bank) please believe me, if they could have more people on the teller line they would love to, but its's just the times we live in, gone are those days with 5-6 tellers at your disposal. read more

3/12/2022 Walked in to cash a check (Chase bank check) from my Job (First check is paper and from a well known company) the teller initiated the transaction and than cancelled it with out giving me any details on why I could not cash my payroll check. The check had no issues and I was able to deposit it in to my credit union with out any holds or rejections. Worst customer service at this Chase branch. read more

Came in at 4:30 trying to open up a business account, there was no attendant at the door so I signed in and waited till 5:23pm to be called ONLY to tell me that the person who knows how to open the business account was leaving in 20 minutes and that I had come back another day or make an Appointment!!!! Chase no longer allows you to make cash deposits unless your on the account. So running errands for others or having someone run them for you is no longer an option (w/ cash) Tellers are friendly there is usually just not enough of them. And the ones that are there are slow. I've never felt so un respected but here at Chase bank at Iris Ave. After signing in to have a customer service rep to help us, we were told the waiting time was about 45 mins due to two other people ahead of us. Since we never have time (work a lot) decided to stay and wait because our need to be taken care of was kind of urgent. After more than an hour we could see them calling others than arrived after us, they called about 5. Then we saw rep David leaving, what? So we asked and he said he had to go, we explained we were waiting for him for almost an hour, he still didn't care, he said again he was leaving, no even an apology or looked at us, he ignored us and told the other banker to make an appt for another time. Went in today to have someone help me with my account. I wrote my name down on the list and when I was up, the employee skipped me completely, right in front of me....to help a woman who just got there, to add her daughter to her business account. I work in sales so I know exactly why he did it. He tried to play me for a fool saying he'd help me after her. I had a problem cashing a big check and ask for the manager. The lady they gave me said she was a supervisor so I don't know if she was the manager or not. She was rude from the beginning. She told me that since I deposited the check the day before I was not cashing it I was withdrawing the money. It went downhill from there. What happened to banks actually helping you? These people don't know what they're doing. Talk about dumb and dumber! I spent 3 hours total to cash my check! And 2 trips to the bank. I guess she thought I could grovel before her highness. I've never done my banking inside. I use the ATM or drive thru ATM. I like the ATM here because you have to swipe your card to get in and the doors are locked. Very safe! read more

I have visited this Chase bank several times in the past and each time I have hated it! Each time I enter the location, there are only two windows open and the line is incredibly long. What is insulting is the person (who apparently is a manager or whatever) walking around greeting the customers randomly selecting people to help rather than going to the person at the beginning of the line or better yet working behind the teller window to expedite the line. I don't understand what management is thinking. If I was in a more affluent neighborhood, no one would have to wait, you are in and out within 5 minutes. It is amazing and refreshing! At this branch, the workers do not smile and the customers are not smiling either. Maybe because the lights are dimed! How can you comfortable fill out a deposit slip if you can't see? This is absolutely the worse Chase Bank I have ever been in! I feel like I am in some back woods shack in the middle of nowhere, where sophistication and professionalism are unheard of! Whoever the manager is, he or she, certainly do not know what customer service is! Customer is what makes the company thrive. Not the other way around. Don't act like you are doing me a favor! If it wasn't for the customers, the banks would not exist! When we walk into that bank, the customer should be greeted with enthusiasm and with bright happy lights not dreary darkness!
