Prior to our mortgage debacle, my wife and I were truly happy with all of our experiences there. Since that time, we have refinanced our mortgage and have taken out two car loans without an issue. The loan officer - Marie, who eventually took over and straightened out our earlier mortgage - worked diligently to re-establish the Credit Union's relationship with us and is the primary reason we didn't pick up our accounts and move to another bank. I gave Oceanside Christopher another opportunity and they made me glad I did. ** Oceanside Federal Credit Union Members pay no fees at 7-Eleven ATMs!!! **

Even when I was accepted for the Visa card, and applied all of the correct verification information (name, address, SS #, etc) it didn't recognize it as accurate and locked me out of signing the form. Despite it being the EXACT same information as what's contained in my account. I have emailed side by side comparison screenshots of what is contained in my Ocean Financial account and what I entered into the form, and it is the exact same. Yet the site to sign the form claims it to be inaccurate. Nothing was fixed. It has been nearly 3 weeks of going back and forth, emailing and calling, with no progress. Perhaps if I lived closer to the physical branch it would be more convenient to resolve this issue. But given that the location would be inconvenient for me, it makes this entire process very frustrating and difficult.

Every time I go into my branch located in Oceanside NY, I can not say enough, about how nice…read moreeverybody is. The tellers and staff are always so polite and accommodating. When I need help from an officer, the woman officer there whose name escapes me, but begins with a Z, is always so helpful and nice. They all go out of their way to make me feel welcome. The only issue that I have, has nothing to do with the staff. Since the branch, hours were reduced and closing time was moved up to 5 pm from 6 pm, it has been much more difficult for me to get into the branch during open hours. 6 pm closing made it much easier to use the bank with more frequency. I have also thought, that since the bank is located in the very best spot in the whole shopping center, it has the corner spot in the strip of stores where the branch is located if they have seriously considered opening up a drive-up window. The branch is often on the quiet side. That is such a busy mall, with Kohls, Amazon Fresh, Michaels, Bed Bath and Beyond, Marshalls, Sleepys (now Mattress Firm), and a pizza place, dry cleaner, card store, and a bagel place, that a drive-up window most will surely increase the number of customers and increase business at that fine branch geometrically.

It even has a second drive thru lane for that old school shuttle it up, with new age monitor to see the banking associate. You can opt to go inside anytime of day/night with your card to use ATM as well. The inside of location is open and airy. Straight ahead for the tellers and go to either side to see a banking associates for all other banking needs.

I like the convenience of their ATM locations, new refreshing logo and online banking is now a dream come true. Amidst the COVID19 pandemic I visited the Garden City and Westbury branches which were a nightmare. Terrible service prior to the pandemic as well. Long lines. Clueless employees. Today I am happy to report that this branch is the best. Professional staff. Smiling faces. Best of all, no long lines and no nonsense. I needed a cashier's check today. While I'm not happy with the $10 up charge as a account holder, I will say it beats all the foolish monthly fees the other For Profit banks charge. This branch is raising the bar.
