My partner and I have joint checking/savings accounts & we both have Chase credit cards. We found out that they had entered her middle name incorrectly on all the accounts she is associated with. We went into the bank and spoke with a teller whose name starts with V, who was very rude to me. As a result I got upset and walked out, but came back in to let him know how rude he was. He just kept saying "ok", "ok", but was clearly unapologetic for his terrible customer service. We will be closing all of our accounts we have with Chase. If he had simply apologized, all would have been forgiven, but there was even a supervisor (I think) standing behind him after I came back in, but they obviously don't care about their customers, so as soon as we have time, we will be switching to another bank. read more

I Requested to pull out money during the pandemic.... I was belittled, treated like trash and turned down by none other than, branch manager/ Vice President - Christine L. Templeman, NMLS ID: 1260307 (see DMV law about extending drivers license expiration during the pandemic, search: dmv-extends-all-expiring-driver-licenses) She was sure do everything she could to make sure it would not happen. She refused to accept a drivers license as a form of ID. Because it expired within the acceptable limit by law (**/**/2020) To say I was treated very poorly throughout the entire process, would be an understatement. Ironically enough, I was attempting to pull money out of my account to pay for DMV services, including trying to renew my expired license. What a disgrace to the hard working people of this community. This woman even had the nerve to tear up the receipt she refused right in front of me and use a paper scrap as a note for me to call a 1800 number. Truly saddening to experience, it is heartbreaking to see someone act so cruel to a stranger, purposefully depriving them of their rightful property, especially during a national pandemic! Even worse, is to be on the receiving end of it. Some people are so far gone these days... it is not even funny. I would STRONGLY advise ANYONE to avoid this woman and this bank. If their policies put people like her in charge, I want nothing to do with them. Stay safe and treat each other with dignity and respect. read more

This is the only Chase Bank on the east side of Petaluma. I've read previous reviews on this bank and they are right there is a ready cold feeling lol. But it really gets the job done! One thing I really like there is that they have a capsule for late night withdrawals that way you feel safe! I really like the upgrade! read more

Not a fan. This location has been closed and moved to the new East Washington shopping Center. Unfortunately the new digs, and futuristic motif they have going on can't mask their overall lack of customer service. After showing up to the McDowell location, and seeing a handwritten sign saying something like "we've moved to the west side to make things less convenient for you", or maybe it just had the new address posted...anyway, I drove over to the new branch. Unfortunately I needed to make a deposit that previously exceeded what could be done through online banking. Upon entering the new location, I felt like I stepped into some futuristic, sterile cube, where men in suits direct you to their new futuristic "tellers". As I was ushered to a machine, I glanced over and saw that the counter now only has two spots for human tellers, and they are behind BP glass. The majority of the bank is filled with these over sized iPad looking things. As I swiped my card and began my deposit, the dude in the suit hovered over my shoulder and pointed out the new features, defining what set these machines apart from your standard ATM. While these "tellers" might be a nice upgrade, when I actually walk into the bank there's a reason....I would like to actually speak to someone. 99% of my business is done online, through my iPhone, or occasionally the ATM. The dudes in suits were nice, but why are they paying people to hover in the lobby and direct customers to their new teller machines, instead of having real people handle transactions? read more

Not all Chase branches are created equal. This is one of the modern style branches. An experiment to say the least, but a total customer service failure. Premise: most people who visit a branch (not an ATM) need some level of human interaction. Failure: This branch has ONE teller, behind a glass cage. About a half dozen ATM style machines with big screens replace what would have been humans. Scenario: Waiting in line for the single Teller. A banker approaches each customer in line to see how they can help (or direct customers to the machines). Failure: Yes, I do need a human to help, and now I have explained my situation to the banker and everyone else waiting in line. Privacy? Nope. Then when it is my turn, I explain once more what I need. Overheard: (To the roving banker) "I want to deposit cash". Banker: "We don't accept cash deposits" Failure: It's a bank, why on earth do you not accept cash deposits?!?!?? And oops!: after explaining what I needed (a clients check needed to clear today) and that it would require a phone call to their bank to release the funds (something I have done many many times at other branches, one banker even calling 4 branches until she got the clearance on a Friday afternoon!) Failure: Deposited check without phone call and check was delayed. "But we don't do that," said the one teller behind the glass cage. read more

Where do I start, so many FEES!!!!!! So we decided to switch my husband's business account and then found out CHASE (the organization, not this particular branch, somewhere in the south bay), allowed another account to be opened with his SSN, but a different name. It would be so easy to double check with the Social Security Administration on name and number matches. Totally lame. Luckily, the bank we switched to was able to help us clear it up. (Yea! I strongly discourage using Chase as a business services bank. They just don't care. They will not know who you are, will damage your business and hide behind their shield knowing you cannot sue them. They have cost my business approx. $80k this year alone. Reason: They botched the back end coding of our PPP loan and spent 4 months being harangued by us and not fixing it until the time was up. They can all go home feeling bad about who they work for. Pathetic customer service seems to be the manager's (if there is one) goal here. E.g. Waited in line today at LUNCHTIME for 10-12 minutes to make a simple deposit while the ONE available teller was tied up dealing with someone's complex payroll deposit. Meanwhile two male "associates" kept busy directing people to, and standing by the self-service machines, and keeping the lollipops canisters well-stocked. I walked out after seeing no sign of the second teller cubicle being occupied anytime soon, and hearing teller #1 tell the customer his totals were off. read more

Under staffed as usual. We should wonder why Chase Bank spends millions in advertising campaigns trying to convince people they are customer orientated, when they could use those funds to properly staff their branches. I was in just yesterday to make a simple deposit with the teller, literally there was only one person staffing the branch. This branch was originally located in the Washington Square Ctr. on McDowell Blvd. While there, the branch went through various remodels. Every configuration worst than the last. A few years ago they closed that branch and moved into East Washington Place Ctr. Again, a total failure. One would think, at some point they must realize they have a operations management problem. The London Whale made $6.2 billion disappear and Jamie Dimon's salary is over $30 million, I think he could find the funds to properly staff his branches. read more

This new branch of Chase is CRAZY. It takes so long to cross the Freeway to get there, then as others have said, no customer service, all machines that is hard to do several transaction in one visit. More than 1/2 of the population in Petaluma lives in the East side and all 3 branches of Chase is on the West side of the freeway. read more

I warn you to bank at this branch. Made a cash payment in July and they don't show the payment was made. They wont pull the film to prove my payment was made..Unfortunately, i am not able to locate a receipt. The Branch Manager, Christine said a formal claim was done (in sept!) but it was never done. Still no call back or nothing. Terrible service! I don't think they want to pull the film because my payment made its way into an employee pocket. smh.. read more

I have tried this branch twice and both times I have been unhappy with the lack of customer service. The first time I visited this branch I was shocked by all the automated tellers. The branch they moved from was not like this, they had actual people who helped. I tried to make a deposit but could not figure out how to complete it when the amount I was depositing consisted of over 25 bills. As I stood there trying to figure out the machine, 2 separate employees walked by and did not ask if help was needed. I could not figure out the new system so I left the branch and went to the one downtown on western. The second time I tried this branch I had no problem with the automated system but the customer service was horrible. I walked in and an employee looked right at me and did not even smile or great me. Another employee was standing at a computer doing what appeared to be nothing and lacked greeting and customer service skills. read more

Very difficult to pay your bill with a teller. Unable to provide me with the current balance. Actually told me a balance that was less than my bill. Had to go back to rectify it and wait for a "banker". Ridiculous. Had only one teller open on Friday lunch hour. read more

As I read all of the bad reviews about the "new" Chase Bank which I have never been to and from the sounds of it don't plan to go to I will commend the branch on Western. The staff is incredibly helpful and ALWAYS friendly. I have multiple transactions each time I go in and they accomodate me each time. In all the years I have been banking there I have yet to have a problem or deal with anyone who wasn't more than helpful. It's humans and not kiosk's at this branch :) read more
