I had an altercation w/ an employee who'd previously been professional but that day had left his professional courtesy at home. I felt belittled, undermined & disrespected to say the least. But because I allowed him to lower my normal standard energy operating level that I apologized & decided to use it as a learning lesson to better myself & grow from the situation & try my best to not allow soulless energy snatchers to bother me moving forward. So I apologized, I think he did too I can't remember honestly or actually he had a clueless victim stance like he did nothing wrong & I was weird for being bothered that he felt the need to say, "Did u know you're overdrawn...!" All I came in for was a replacement card not a disrespectful & condescending manner informing me of an insufficient balance as though it's comical w/ a straight face. Frustrating is what it is. Isn't it typical to ask your customers if they seen any unfamiliar activity in their banking account..!? But they didn't ask me. It was like they had a bigger issue w/ my balance than I did. read more

I LOVE THIS BRANCH! They are always happy to help. Today I went in because I was having trouble accessing my statements on my phone. Once I entered there was one person ahead of me. I was approached by Hamra the assistant branch manager, she asked me how she could help me. I sat down at her desk and noticed she had a beautiful amethyst crystal business card holder. We briefly chatted about it. For me that was such a pleasure. Hamra was so accommodating, friendly, & helpful. She showed me how to access my statements in a new way from what I already knew. I was so happy to learn something new today that would make my life easier. Her overall customer service was the AMAZING. I highly recommend this location to everyone! THANK YOU HAMRA! read more

Always very helpful, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I went in with a bunch of questions about the CD's without knowing how they work and Fernando helped me so much, they have great rates BTW. I went in again to meet with the financial advisor Leif Tinsley and he gave me and my partner options for even better investments. I went to Patelco after a horrible experience at another credit union. After being ignored and given no helpful information on how to starting my membership at the credit union that shall not be named, I was ready to abandon ship and crawl back to Wells Fargo. I am so thankful that I chose to make another stop at Patelco. As soon as I entered, I felt 100 times better. Tristan Khim was instantly willing to help. I have a lot of anxiety about money and hate feeling like the people at banks are talking down to me. Tristan Khim was professional and never made me feel like I was out of my depth. He explained all aspects of my new membership without the condescending tone I've come to anticipate from bigger banks. He made sure to answer all of my questions and reassure me that I was making the correct decision in terms of which account was best to open form my needs. All in all, I left feeling like my money was secure and in the hands of someone that cared about me and not making a profit. Hats off to Marisol at the Rohnert Park Branch. She helped me with cashing in US Savings Bonds recently. A true professional. Earlier, I went to another Credit Union, who I will not name, and they essentially blew me off regarding this task. (But they're the biggest Credit Union in Sonoma County, so you figure it out...) So yes, Credit Unions DO cash in US Savings Bonds, IF you go to the right one! Thank you, Patelco! read more

For the millionth time, I get to the ATM to make a deposit on Monday (while the bank is closed due to holiday) and AGAIN the ATM is 'temporarily out of order.' This is a busy ATM, and usualy there are one or two people that are trying to use the ATM there too, and so you end up seeing several people walk away from the ATM in a huff when it isn't working. Which at this point, is more often then not! PLEASE fix the problem, Patelco. It's been ongoing for months and months now! read more

Yup, they still suck. I had to go recently because, after 2 years, they never closed my old account and the State of California needed to verify there were no funds there. I asked them to close the account. They refused to close it. I asked them for some documentation to at least verify I had no funds in my account and they all looked at each other like the 3 stooges. After much hemming and hawing, they finally figured out how to type a letter. Wow! The lady that "helped" me was a super "B" and I couldn't wait to leave. Once again - STAY AWAY! read more

They are not any better than a big bank. I have driven over there twice after hours to deposit checks & there is never any envelopes at there ATM, plus they never answer the phone. I am closing my account with these clowns. There are better credit unions like Redwood read more

nothing has changed. still unable to pay your car loan online. you literally have to call in. you can fill out an actual paper (print it offline and mail it in by snail mail or drop it off if you're not busy) and write in your bank routing number and account number but what a hassle. They need to move things along into easier payments. Wait time on phone call can be up to an hour or more. I've waited 2 hours to make a car payment before. Can't wait until my loan is done next year. read more

Patelco as a whole is just a horrible, horrible place to work with. My recomendation is to not give these guys your money. I've had nothing but problems with them over the last year. Opening my accounts was a huge pain, I had to make 3 trips into this branch because everytime I came in they needed something else. They couldn't tell me up front what I would need. I ended up with a savings account and a CD. Getting a hold of them is difficult as is. Can't ever find a phone number for this branch. Only number I can find is their 800 number, and I didn't care for spending 20 minutes in what seemed like an automated loop. The CD was coming up on it's maturity date and I wasn't comfortable faxing all of my account numbers on one page to have it close the CD and put the money into my savings, so I called their 800 number. They said it was taken care of and on the maturity date the money would go into my savings. Maturity date was yesterday, and it rolled over to a new CD...another entire year! These people are completely incompetent. I will be closing all of my accounts with them tomorrow. Don't even care about the penalty on the CD at this point, I just want to never have to do business with these people again. read more

The Rohnert Park Patelco branch is my favorite branch! The staff there are so friendly and go beyond helping me. I go in every other week and enjoy Kevin, Allison, Kristie, and have just saved money on the save to save on my credit cards! I do have just one minor issue with the manager, she never smiles! But I still give them 5 stars!! read more

Wow! What a horrible place this one is... Don't go there... Ever! Mainly, there is a complete and total lack of respect for customers. The tellers think it's okay to laugh at customers (joke about customers right in front of them) - even if it offends the customer. Please do yourself a favor and bank elsewhere. Why? Let's see, besides the bad service: limited hours, limited locations, no one knows your name (don't get what the other reviewer was talking about - no one called me by name and I banked there for years before leaving in disgust), no personal service and I had to order my ATM card 3 times in a row (it took 2 months to get it) because they kept messing it up. I left to go to Redwood Credit Union - who has received SO many new customers that LEFT Patelco Credit Union, according to the employee there that I spoke to (he actually DOES know my name) ... doesn't that say it all? read more

We really like Patelco and this place is great. We have had great customer service and I actually really liked that when I went to one of these they all had the doors locked and they would buzz in customers. It just felt safer as a customer and it seems like it's safer for the employees. It's a bad economy and I think the security is important. Would bump it up more stars if they put back the security they used to have. read more
