I applied for a Chase Freedom Flex card a few weeks back with this bank, and NUMEROUS times I kept getting soft denials for utter bullsh*t reasons, even with a 720 score and 9 months credit history because they "had no proof of income", even AFTER verifying my job position, employer, yearly salary, and rent/utility costs. I talked to the representatives multiple times regarding my application status, and EVERY TIME they told me to "give them more time while they process the application", sometimes even taking up to 14 days JUST TO LOOK AT MY DAMN CREDIT SCORE! So finally, after waiting around 23ish days, I finally get a call back, and guess what? I STILL get soft-denied because they "need three months of verified income", mind you after verifying TWICE of my yearly salary! So I submit my past three month's income statement and was told to wait seven more days (which is total bullcrap just to look at a couple pieces of paper). ...And waiting after that time, still no call back! I was getting extremely frustrated so I called YET AGAIN, only to be met with "sorry, your application expired". Wow! So you're telling me that it takes you 31 DAYS to just look at my income that you have ALREADY TWICE VERIFIED and then you have the audacity to tell me that I'm too late? So yeah, if you want at least decent customer service without extremely bullsh*t wait times for income/credit score verification, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

George Hoang is very nice and helpful!!! There are lollipops for customers on his table. Spotted a SF Giants bobblehead in the corner of his cubicle hehe letsgoooo Giants!! Definitely had a calm and efficient experience at this location because of George Hoang. I did notice there were very few bankers/tellers despite how large the bank was, but I didn't encounter any problems on my visit. I happily changed my debit card from the Disney Dalmatians to the new BB8 Star Wars card while my bf opened a new checking account without any problems! They require a minimum $1500 balance. If you cannot do this, they have two alternatives: 1) college student checking account or 2) direct deposit. He did the latter, and bam! Good experience overall. It is the time to finally give my Rohnert Park Chase branch its overdue 5 star rating. I knew that when I had some money again that it would go into Chase accounts. After I sold my home and received my sale proceeds that is exactly what I did. I've had nothing but positive interactions with every member of this Chase branch for six years. In fact I make it a point to go into the branch inside to say hi and talk with the tellers and bankers because I find them so friendly. In particular, the branch manager Christine Templeman has remembered my name from day one and I feel that she genuinely cares about my feelings when conversing. There have been numerous times when I needed money from deposits before they "clear" or have been verified. Christine has without exception authorized virtually any amount I requested despite bank guidelines to wait for the check to clear first. How many bank managers of any bank would do that for you? Mind you this was during times when I didn't have very much in my Chase account. So when my home sales proceeds were wired into my Chase checking account I went straightaway to Christine. She smiled and acted as if she handled situations like this everyday . . . which I'm sure she does. Actually I think she smiled because she was happy for me that I was doing better financially again, because Christine is very kind. She introduced me to Jason Anderson who is the "Private Client Banker" at the Rohnert Park branch. Jason opened a new savings account for me, took care of some banking needs I had, and I was a happy camper. Since I had a number of banking needs during this period of time, Nicole Cochran the "Relationship Banker" at the branch also assisted me with a few things. She is wonderful, warm, friendly and just added to my glowing impressions of this Chase branch. I have since moved to the "big city" in Sonoma County, Santa Rosa, just north of Rohnert Park. I am pleased with my new Chase branch in Montgomery Village near my new home. I've made some new "friends" at this branch already. Still I couldn't leave RP without writing about my great experiences with Chase Bank Rohnert Park Branch. My checking and saving accounts are based at this branch . . . and I do not intend to move my accounts to any new Chase branch for the foreseeable future. 5-1-2020 I went into Chase today with a check written to me from my mother, I waited in line in the hot sun for 45 mins just to be helped by a bunch of racist people. An asian male employee calls me up and asks what I'm here for I tell him I'm cashing out a check he proceeds and tells me their will be a 8 dollar fee I say that's fine and he asks me to sign the back which I do as I'm waiting he calls over this white tall lady which I believe is the branch manager she takes the check from him and inspects it and then looks at me from head to toe and says have u cashed out a check before from (the persons name That wrote me the check) and I said no I havent first time and then they said did she sign this and I said yes that's my mother she wrote it for me yesterday and she said well I need to call and verify and I simply question to why and she goes there's something up with her account and I cant disclose that information I said fine , call her It didn't matter she could verify for me that she did write the check she then calls my mom and my mom answers she's a Spanish speaker she goes hey _______ i am trying to verify a check that's paid out to David and my mom responds in Spanish the bank manager let's out a big sigh and doesn't even tell my mom to hold for a translator, the bank manager just leaves and goes and finds a spanish speaker when the Spanish speaker gets on the phone my mom had already hung up because She didn't even tell her to hold. She then tells me Yeah she hung up sorry nothing we can do and I say we'll try again you didn't even tell her to hold and she calls and gets an answer my mom verifys to the Spanish translator that she wrote the check for me yesterday and that is her signature they ask my mom to verify her account number and she doesn't know it off the top of her head so she can't they say sorry we can't verify u wrote the check even though she admitted to writing it and she gave them the exact amount and my name that the check was written out to . They abruptly hang up on her and then tell me the signature on the check isn't hers it's forged I am very angry at this point because I overheard the conversation they had with my mother and he never said anything about the signature being forged . I tell them if they are able to help and they say they can't because it's not her signature even tho my mom has verified it was this bank is a POS don't even come here if your skin color isn't white read more

Definitely not a good 'first time customer' experience - hence that fact that I am NOT a Chase customer because of it. I do my banking with Bank of the West, and have for years BUT I needed a new bank account with a bank that has nation wide branches, where I can go into a bank office if I need to. Chase is about 200 feet away from Bank of the West, so I figured why not. Bad move. The place is huge inside, but only one teller. I stood inline and asked the teller to open a new account. "Oh, let me see if we have someone here that can do that". Ummmm - you're a bank? Why WOULD'NT you have someone here who can do that? Anyway - 5 minutes or so later a girl comes out of the back and is very nice at first. I told her I wanted a savings account that I could use just for deposits when out of the area. She says this might not be a good idea due to federal regulations that you may only have a maximum of 6 transactions per month through a savings account. OK, that's fine, I would like to open a checking account then. The minimum balance for a free checking account is $1500.00 a month she tells me, otherwise I need to pay a monthly fee for a checking account. I explained that this account most likely would not have $1500.00 in it ever, let alone permanently. At this point the attitude of the person helping me, or should I say not helping me, changed. Immediately I got the cold shoulder. Because I did not have $1500.00 to deposit to your bank? And then you want to CHARGE me to keep my money at your bank? Yeah, no thanks. No other options were offered, so apparently, my money is not good enough for Chase bank BUT it was good enough for Wells Fargo inside Raley's - I went over there, deposited my start up 100.00 in a brand new checking account, got an instant debit card and a cute stuffed Wells Fargo horse all in less than 15 minutes. It's a bank - it's Chase.... I've never been inside so I have to rate my experience based off of the ATMs located outside. I'm 6'1" tall and although that might be tall to some of you I feel average height. I could barely see the top half of the ATM considering they sit at about 4 feet high. I had to bend over to see everything I was doing and although it seems fairly simple with 3 or 4 easy steps I felt as if I should make sure and read everything so I wasn't transferring money elsewhere. I hate bending over.... help me out Chase. Can we have one tall and one short ATM for some variety? Thanks. read more

I went into this branch with my elderly father-in-law to help him initiate a wire for a real estate transaction. We waited in line and when we reached the front we were told they could not assist us. Instead we would need to provide a phone number to have them call and schedule an appointment with a banker. Frustrated, I provided my number and asked how long they thought it would be to get scheduled, since there was some urgency for him to get the wire sent. They didn't seem concerned about the urgency and said I would receive a call "sometime later today or tomorrow". It has been 72 hours since I visited that branch and nobody has even had the courtesy to call me... let alone set up an appointment to get the wire sent. That is horrible customer service. Just horrible. Had we waited patiently for the call, he would have missed the closing deadline on the property. Luckily I am resourceful enough to have found a different Chase branch in Petaluma where the manager understood the urgency and he got the wire sent. My father-in-law is so upset about his experience in Rohnert Park that he is looking into changing banks. If you want a bank that cares about its customers and provides great service, look elsewhere...this is why people hate "big banks" so much. read more

I received a call today from the branch manager. She very politely informed me that the bank no longer accepts cash deposits from non customers. Yes....you read that correctly. A bank in the United States of America no longer accepts United Sates government issued currency. We have a tenant who pays her rent in cash every month as her current situation does not allow for a checking account. Every month the tenant goes to the Chase branch and deposits her cash into our account. Today I was informed that the bank no longer accepts cash. I do not feel I can continue to do business with a bank that no longer accepts United Sates currency and would suggest you all might do the same. read more

Man o man, what an unbelievably poorly run branch! I have tried to open a business account for two weeks with drama and excuses given every single time I come in...there is one real banker in this whole branch and she is usually sick, missing, at lunch or on vacation. I was just told to come back in two weeks when she's back....yawn...I went to redwood credit union instead since chase can't get it together. And btw....really, what is the point of 10 teller stations and one teller doing all the work with 17 people waiting in line? Most people come in and need 25 mins at the teller ( what are they doing for 25mins?) crazy dumb way to run a business and it's the model for every place around here because everything is BS corporate big box nonsense in a strip mall. I don't actually go into Chase very often anymore as I usually use the ATM or Mobile app for my money needs. But every time I have gone in, I'm always helped fairly quickly and the tellers are all very nice and helpful. I have no complaints. Although I did have an interview years ago and wasn't hired. If I could give 10 stars, I would! I've never been inside a Chase bank before or done business with them, so I was curious to see how their service was. I've always preferred local credit unions over big banks, but I need a national bank that I can use whenever I travel. A banker named Lorenzo helped me open my account and walked me through everything. He was so personable and charming! We ended up chatting for two and a half hours!!!! Honestly, the time flew by. Lorenzo also gave recommendations on the best local wineries and restaurants in the area since I just moved here. When I asked if I could speak to his supervisor and tell her what a wonderful employee he is ( I always try to let the managers know whenever I get great customer service, especially since it's so rare nowadays), Lorenzo gave me his business card and said he was the branch manager! That was a pleasant surprise. I feel a lot better about using a big bank since the service I received was just as awesome as what you'd experience at a smaller bank. I'm very happy :D read more

Every time I come here I see tons of managers or employees that arent tellers- sitting around, or just making watching as lines grow. Meanwhile- there is a line of at least 6 people and one teller. I attempted to deposit cash into my brothers account and they refused the money saying it could be money laundering and only accepted a credit card or check. I can appreciate the fact that they have security put in place for a reason however after returning from my bank to deposit the cash in order to use my debit card, I was met with horrible customer service. The teller was rude. She had her name tag covered up or else I would be lasting her on here as well. Of course she needed my id, name and all my info. I mentioned that I have cash deposits done at my current bank often, the tellers response was completely smart ass. " Oh how dare us have security set in place to protect our customers, how dare us do that. " was her response in what sounded like a 4yr old tone of voice. Again, I think the security is great, I want my money protected too but their customer service sucks and I will NEVER do business with Chase again, period. I will be calling the branch manager today to speak with them as well. read more
