Teller Davina gives bad customer service. I have known her for a while since I have been banking at the Upland Chase branch since 2018. It all started with some casual conversation in 2022 when she was processing my transactions. I am in the bank 2-3 times per week. All the tellers know me. I said some things in our conversation that offended her, which was never my intention. They were not directed towards her, nor did I say anything I didn't already say to the other lady. The content of my comments surrounded weight gain by a fellow co-worker lady after 2 pregnancies. It was a factual and rather innocent comment by a middle aged woman such as myself. The assistant manager was made aware of this immediately by Davina and by me the next day. I apologized immediately that day of the incident and again apologized a couple weeks later when I saw her again. She never helped me after that. Instead she avoided me. Every time it was my turn at the front of the line and she finished with a customer, she would go on a break to purposely not service me. At first, I didn't think much of it, but it happened a few times. She did not even vouch for me for a transaction that I had previously done with her, for a new teller who didn't know me. I shared her behavior with the assistant manager who stated she would have a talk with her. Then it happened again the next day when I was the next in line and she did not service me. When I brought it up to the assistant manager and manager again, they both told me that if she didn't want to service me, she did not have to. The manager stated that she cannot force her to assist me if she doesn't want to. I was appalled at not only Davina's behavior but at both of the manager's response to the matter. Since when did tellers pick and choose who they want to service? I took it to the next level and filed a formal complaint to the corporate headquarters. They investigated the matter but nothing has been done to my satisfaction. She remains there at the branch and seems to have more work days than ever before. All the other tellers continue to be friendly as they always have been. No one seems to have a problem with me but her. She is half my age, a millennial who seems not to know what good customer services means. There used to be the saying, "The customer is always right." Instead, I am being treated with a cold stare whenever I am at the front of the line if she sees me and she states, "someone will be right with you." Once another teller assists me, she comes right back out to help with the line. She definitely is discriminating against her customers, picking and choosing who she wants to service. Personal grudge or racial discrimination? I go to the bank on a weekly basis, sometimes twice a week. This happens every time now. She did help me once and was very professional, almost robotic. But it was not without giving me a hard time about not having my ID present to be able to give me a balance at the end of my deposits. Her detailed explanation for over a minute seemed to be unwarranted as she obviously knows who I am, especially since she avoided me 90 percent of the time after the incident last year. She sees me in line and will close her teller window if I am next in line and she is the next available teller. So she has identified me without seeing my ID. I do see some new faces at the bank. They are extremely friendly and professional. Perhaps, Davina can learn to let go of personal grudges and learn how to be a better person from her co-workers. She should also learn to respect people that are twice her age and of color. read more

This Chase is great because they have drive up banking AND they have a drive thru ATM. Wonderfully great!!! Once you have kids you wish that everything had a drive-thru! In addition, this Chase has 3 or 4 ATMS outside also so they make it very easy for you not to go in. From the times I have gone in I remember the encounters being short and pleasant. I LOVE Chase. Almost all my credit cards are Chase. I love logging into my account and having my savings, checking, and all my credit cards centralized in one location. The convenient ATMs are great too! Chase has ATMs in all Target, CVS, and they are currently working on Walgreens. When I use my Chase Sapphire Preferred, the cashiers always comment on it since it's made of metal. The girls always tell me how heavy and thick it is; the guys always tell me how cool it is. If you are single, it's definitely a conversation piece. But it's useless to me. This particular location isn't very road friendly unless you are heading west on Foothill Blvd. If heading East, you will have to make a U-Turn. There is no sign, but it's legal. I assume so because I did the U-Turn in front of a cop and there was no issue. The service of this branch is phenomenal as is with all Chase locations. I dropped by to upgrade my savings account to premier platinum . Checking is free if you have a stable savings account which meets the min balance. read more

I had a customer write me a check for $100 "Pay to the Order of Joe Nicassio $100". That's me. They would not cash the check without charging me a $6 "check cashing fee", unless I opened an account there. Really? The check was written for $100. I expect to get PAID the PROMISE on the check. I expect the Amount the check WRITTEN for should be HONORED. To not pay the full amount is DISHONORABLE. It's a LIE. Offering to WAIVE THE FEES by EXTORTING ME to open an account, so they can charge MORE FEES is CRIMINAL, or at least it ought to be. Chase is not the only bank to use these kinds of extortion tactics, and a check needs to be honored for the full amount written. Chase Bank , U S Bank vs. 80 yr old Widow who's just started recuperating from breast cancer surgery took a check for $150 from her for her Chase Visa payment altered, and fraudulently requested $1,500 from her bank instead of the $150 to check was made out for. The money was taken out immediately and she found out the very next day and was worried she was very upset and started to shake and cry as she was now overdrawn and charged $36 . Also , about the outstanding checks to her mortgage , Southern California Edison and others. She has never bounced a check. She got on the phone with Chase and was told she had to wait 14 days for the money to be returned even though there are or plot to steal money from her but she really believes because she can't believe the two Banks made by mistake like that. She's never written a check for over $1,000. Her son demanded that she call back Chase and ask to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor came on her son asked for permission to speak on her behalf as she was very upset. The supervisor was asked could this problem be resolved today and over the phone and she assured us that it would be, and all we need to do is to show proof check was cashed. So we did that and went in person to Chase bank and they told us we she still had to wait despite what the supervisor told us when asked about what type of compensation she was going to receive they said there's nothing they could do . They acted like they didn't give a damn that this 80 year old Widow was visibly shaken and upset had no other options but wait. Last week her wallet was stolen by she believes a 99 Cent Only store employee. Chase Bank said a $200 charge was made at In-N-Out Burger La Verne just minutes later. Just Chase's way of thanking her for letting someone steal her wallet even though she received a phone call from Chase asking her if this was her purchase for it was an unusual charge. Anyone out there care? if you believe she was done wrong by the actions of Chase and US Bank he's please let Chase Bank know she should not have been told the LIE that the matter would be resolved the same day after she proved the check was cashed and then was told she still had to wait for money to be returned I no compensation.
