One of the best lounges I've had the privilege of enjoying. They are quite strict with the 3hr before departure policy. Upon checking-in, they have someone take you to a table, which was nice. They have a variety of mobile food order options and self-serve options. The street corn and burger were fantastic. Full bar and specialty non-alcoholic drinks as well. A variety of espresso options that can make a drink with either 2% milk OR oatmilk, which I haven't seen before. You can also get cold brew. Kid-friendly: small playroom with magnet toys and books. They also have Yumi fruit bars and Apple juices. If you're lucky and you happen to be here 3 hours before your flight, you MIGHT be able to snag a 15min complimentary facial treatment. Overall, a very nice experience. Plenty of food and drink options as well as seating areas. However, at least on this one particular day (evening of 9/9/26), there were several issues. It was nearly 100 degrees in SD, and I was really hoping to shower before my flight (I arrived 3 hours early). Sadly, the one shower was not available (one staff member mentinoed it might be flooded?). Secondly, noise-wise, there was ongoing construction and uniformed men taking measurements of some sorts inside the lounge. It felt like this type of project should have been scheduled outside of lounge opening hours. In terms of sanitation, there were lots of flies and other bugs swarming around the beverage and food areas. Lastly, the men's bathrooms were dirty and seemingly unmaintained - including a very unflushed toilet and another toilet that was completely out of service. Still giving 3/5 stars due to the beautiful design and artwork, assortment of food options, and overall comfort, but as a CSR cardholder I was a bit surprised at the low quality bar in terms of cleanliness and upkeep. read more

Have visited three Chase lounges in last 2 months - Vegas, Phoenix and San Diego. San Diego was by far the largest. Short wait on waitlist on a Sunday evening. Maybe 5 minutes when expected 15-20 based on recent experiences. Snagged a table with the Mrs by the bar which was fine but didn't realize they had seats by the large windows. Biggest letdown was the food. It was only ok while Vegas was very good and Phoenix was good. Ordered burger which had a surprisingly small patty . The Mrs. had the tostada. Toppings were fine, but the taco shell was stale. Also ordered the Caesar salad with chicken. Salas was good, but the chicken tasted very processed. Self serve food items were better, especially the small apple tart. Overall, 3.5 stars but rounding up to four. read more

We were flying out of San Diego Airport and went to the Chase Sapphire Lounge. There was a small wait 15-20 mins for 4 people. The woman gave us chips while we waited. Once upstairs you check-in again and most of the larger tables/sitting areas are reserved for larger parties (3+). The first time we went there we had a couch and love seat area which was very spacious. This time we had a 4 top which worked fine. My kids enjoyed this table because they could watch planes land and take off. There are lots of food options at this lounge. You can scan the QR code and order online to have the food you have selected delivered directly to your table. Each table has its own unique table number. You can customize the items with removing ingredients as well. There is also several already prepared food options/dishes you can select and take back to your table. Regarding beverages there are coffee machines, fridge stocked with non alcoholic beverages, filter stilled and sparking water, array of drink options (cocktails, wine, beer, NA, etc) you can order online or you can go up to the bar and order a drink not on the menu as well. I ordered a lemon drop which was tasty and she was able to make it less sugary for me. Overall all staff were friendly, on top it (clearing tables, restocking items) and overall cleanliness of the lounge. We enjoy coming to this lounge and the food is good. I learned this time that if you are seated at a table that doesn't have a plug in/power source near by you can ask for a portable power source for your table. read more

I've been to lounges throughout the U.S. over the last few years, and this one has definitely been the best as far as food offerings and ambiance go. It does feel very exclusive as you come up the elevator and walk around the lounge, looking for a spot in one of the many seating arrangements they offer, with blue accents and warm lighting. Once you find a spot, drop your stuff, get a couple dishes and a drink or two, it is quite a relaxing and somewhat rejuvenating experience. In talking with the bar tenders, I learned that they change their drink menu seasonally, but I'm not sure how often they change their food menu. They offer some dishes on a buffet line, and additional items can be made-to-order and brought directly to you, ordered through using the QR code on your table. Most buffet items have been good, but maybe we had too many flights in the same season because I found myself looking at the same buffet items on several visits. The items are mostly visually appealing and lean on the healthy side. Sometimes there is a bland item or two. Everything I've ordered through the QR code has been very yummy, though sometimes takes a very long time to be made. Depends on how busy they are, like anywhere else. They offer facials here, but I've never been able to reserve a spot. Hopefully one day! There are also rest pods available for rent in a back room. Never needed one so can't speak to it. For alcohol, they have a full-service bar, and bartenders can only take cash for tips. For non-alcoholic drinks, they have several flavored waters, sparkling water taps, canned drinks in fridges (which can be taken to-go as well), and a fancy coffee machine. I sit at the bar whenever I'm feeling talkative, and the bartenders are friendly. My only real complaint is that the tables can be very slow to be cleaned, even when plenty of people are working...and also that the attitude of the bussers can be hit-or-miss. Not saying you have to love your job...but you are working a customer service position...in a card members' lounge...in an airport...so, idk, things to think about! Always look forward to popping in, and I've even started to look specifically for flights leaving out of terminal 2 so I can visit this lounge! read more

We arrived at the lounge about 8:00 pm on a Tuesday. We were promptly greeted and efficiently checked in. The lounge was fairly full. Almost every table was covered with dirty dishes. We had to clear dishes to a table in order to have an accessible table. No one came to our table or to clear dishes for nearly an hour. So the experience was not great. We went up to the bar to get drinks. The bartender was polite and efficient. The Lounge has an impressive selection toon of spirits. My Manhattan was awesome. We tried the lemon bars and the Asian beef on red rice from the buffet. Both were very good. You can also order off a limited menu. The items I saw coming out looked good. read more

Still a great lounge to relax at before a flight. Breakfast offerings are alright, the breakfast sandwich being my fave of the made-to-order, with the pesto provolone sandwich as a second. Food at 5am and bar opens at 6am. Made-to-order cocktails from the table QR codes were unreliable and don't think the orders were going in so def easier to grab a drink at the bar in-person. Staff weren't the friendliest on this last visit but maybe just hadn't had coffee yet and the bar gets backed up with only one bartender. Easier to just get a champagne or mimosa but if ordering a real cocktail, skip the QR code or risk not getting your drink. Fave drink was their take on a Carajillo with Tequila, coffee or espresso with a side of chocolate-covered espresso beans. I've had nothing but positive experiences at this lounge. In the approximate 5 visits within the last year shortly after grand opening, I have only had to wait once. Every other time, I have been able to quickly access this swanky lounge and eat and drink away as if it were my last meal on earth. The food is always delicious. And in case you though there weren't enough options already at the buffet, there's a whole separate menu you can order from by scanning the QR code at your table. There are plenty of outlets for charging. There are spa services, but I can't speak for those (yet). I am also an AMEX Platinum cardholder and although I didn't think Chase could out-do the Centurion lounges, Sapphire Reserve is on par or has a slight edge. Also, you can bring at least one guest into the Chase lounge whereas for US-based Centurion lounges, AMEX cardholders have to spend $75,000 annually to enjoy the same guest benefit. read more

What. A. Lounge. I have been a Chase Sapphire Reserve holder for a very long time and have never been to a Sapphire Lounge. I am glad I finally got the chance to. This lounge is definitely one of the nicest ones I have been to. Below are some highlights. First off, Jillian is amazing. She was super professional and made sure our stay was top notch. I would come back just for her customer service. The food and drinks here are awesome. There are premade items around the lounge but you can also scan a QR code and get made to order food as well such as burgers and tacos and cocktails. Everything I got was amazing. The lounging areas are super comfortable with plenty of outlets. Seating can be a bit limited especially for larger parties. WiFi is also super fast. I was lucky enough to get a facial while here. What a treat. I have been to many lounges before but never one that has an esthetician on site for facials. Marissa was super detailed and was awesome. Make sure to tip them! I felt ready to get in the drying airplane cabin. I am definitely getting to the San Diego airport early and hitting this lounge up every time I am here. Amazing job staff! read more

Wow! This is a very nice Chase lounge. We are here a couple hours before our flight home and pleasantly surprised. They have a QR code that has made to order items as well as specialty cocktails, and drinks that you can have ordered to your table so make sure you take a look at that. If you want cocktails other than what is on the app just go ask the bartender- we had a very tasty margarita! The food offering was set up very nicely with a great variety of small plates. The blackened salmon was absolutely amazing. Everything was very tasty, hot if it was supposed to be, and not if it wasn't. Service was excellent. They were several people coming around asking if we needed anything. The bathrooms are spotless as well. This is a great place to relax before your flight can highly recommend. read more

This is an excellent airport lounge; unsurprisingly, as I've been pretty impressed with other chase lounges that I've been to. Luckily there was no wait when I went although seating was definitely running low. It's a smaller lounge compared to, say, LaGuardia, but I appreciated the range of seating joined (eg booths, windows, etc). I had an excellent Bloody Mary and a decent breakfast of eggs and an arugula salad made to order. As is typical of chase lounges, they also had a buffet-style selection of small plates to accompany your meal. The sweet potato frittata was a standout although in general I highly prefer their "made to order" food. As for drinks, they have the standard fare - coffee/espresso, sparkling waters, cocktails, etc. Service was quick and efficient; I noticed that food came out more quickly than I'm accustomed to in these lounges. This bar has an excellent ambiance and looks and feels very classy compared to most airport lounges. There is a solid amount of food and drink options as well which makes the experience very enjoyable. You can order food from their online menu via the QR code on your table or grab food from their food bar. When we were here, they had braised beef over rice at the food bar and that was our favorite dish. Their other hot food bar options like the pastas, desserts, and salads were pretty decent too. They have the burger that David Chang raves as Michelin star quality but it definitely was not lol. It was pretty dry to be honest but still happy to have it as a food option. Their salmon wrap was cold too per my wife. The bar is great! They have a curated menu with plentiful drink options but you can also order whatever you want. It's great that they allow non-Chase customers here once per year as well being that I do not have their Sapphire Reserve CC. Hope they don't take away that perk any time soon! Everything looked super promising and a different day would likely be 5 stars. We checked in and were told there would be a 10 min wait or so. No problem. We received a text saying the wait was over and went back. We were told "it's shared seating... make a friend." OK, cool. We see TWO people get up from a four person table and decide to take it. When we sit down a staff member says the table is for four people since they're busy. I question and say well two people just got up and there was no "reserved" sign up. She responded "no, it's for four people" .... Hmmmm ok... yet, the person in the front said shared seating is cool. Now the positive: the food and drinks were amazing and the bartender was very friendly. Hopefully my next time through will have better service. Staff needs to make sure everyone is one the same page so there isn't conflicting messages. read more

We had a nice lounge visit before our flight yesterday. The lounge was easy to find, right after the West security gate in Terminal 2. We did not have to wait when we arrived around 4 pm on a Tuesday. The lounge was very full, but there are a lot of different rooms and seating options. We found a cozy spot with a table and outlets nearby to charge our devices. We scanned a QR code on the table to order food/drink and reserve a mini facial. There were plenty of quick-grab drinks, like sodas, sparkling water, coffees, flavored water etc. There were also buffet style small plates, which accommodated multiple dietary needs. We ordered drinks from the QR menu, including a gin spritz and a non-alcoholic beer, both came quickly and tasted good. We aren't big drinkers but I noticed the bar is well stocked with premium liquor and they don't seem to be shy on serving. I liked that they had local beer and liquor options. Over our two hour visit, we tried the elote, salmon wrap, and veggie and real burgers. The food was good, but nothing really special in my opinion. I preferred the food at the PHX sapphire lounge. The spa was a nice touch, and both my wife and I were able to get a 15 minute facial before our flight, which was fun and free. I made sure to tip the gal, but she didn't ask for tips. There was a lot of staff and they worked quickly to clear plates, vacuum, etc so the place always looked pretty tidy. Overall a nice place to hang out if you have time to kill before a flight, and need a bite to eat or drink. read more

I was a bit worried given I'm an Amex platinum nobody... ya know the type... using their priority pass without any restaurant privileges... but clacking our metal cards like those in the very exclusive club of everyone... Basically we get one crack at the lounge here, us nobodies... we get one special chance of the year to feel those who were smart enough to get a credit card who would bring a lounge to San Diego... I mean you could pay $75 for another crack ... but .... The space is freaking light years away from the other lounge options here. You almost feel like you're somewhere else... like an airport with proper lounges! It's very centurion lounge feeling without the Greyhound bus stop open air purgatory that Aspire lounge has. For those who travel a lot, this lounge feels line when you put on your jacket and feel as if you can face the world. Aspire feels like dusting off the knee pads for the many compromises you'll be sure to face. Anyways, the food is kinda shit. Yeah I said it! Better than any other lounge here though. The signature noodles are a mess... congealed noodles with a hit of peanut sauce (yay?)... it goes on and on. . Just a damn mess. But again better than anything on offer here. This is a great lounge in SD and probably one of the best perks of the Chase Sapphire Reserve card! Food was surprisingly great, cocktails were on point, and there was plenty of adequate seating. Better than the same one I ordered in the NYC Sapphire lounge. My son and I were a bit early for our flight, and we decided to check out the Chase Sapphire Lounge. Food was quite fancy and limited, however managed to score some sweet potato for my son to eat. The other bites were good, but limiting on what he could eat. We realized there was a children's area after we settled down, and he was instantly intrigued after we went in. Other kiddos were nearby, but they all left for flights so didn't have an opportunity to play with others. He had a blowout while playing in the children's area, and thankfully there are about 3 areas you can change them in. One of the staff kindly walked me back as she was cleaning up, and showed me which areas I could have gone to. As the 2 more private areas were taken, I ended up having to use the womens' restroom towards the end to change him. It was quite the messy blowout, and I was grateful that there wasn't TOO much foot traffic while I was attempting to maneuver the change with him being quite upset after I accidently put him down too quick/him squirming around constantly. After maybe 15-20 minutes, he was cleaned up and we hung around for maybe 5 minutes before we needed to head out to make it for our flight as it was a far hallways down. We definitely would want to come back - and I hope for that little airplane he was playing with, we could possibly purchase, as that was his first time interested in an airplane instead of the cars. read more

This is the first Chase Sapphire Reserve Lounge I've ever been too. I was excited to go in because I've had the Reserve for quite some time, but never went into a Lounge. Luckily, I was able to get inside because when I left the lounge for my flight, they posted a sign at the elevator saying there is a waitlist and it's full. Because when I went upstairs and checked in...my goodness, it seriously was crowded. The food was okay? I don't really have too many qualms about it. You find a seat and then scan the QR code to get into the Chase Sapphire Lounge network website to order food, reserve the relaxation space (I didn't have the time to try this but I saw it was booked up), and more. I ordered some food and unfortunately, the wrap was kind of dry and the other dish didn't have much flavor. I should have went with the burger...the cold buffet ended up being better than the ordered food. I enjoyed the toast the most, weirdly....maybe it's just my taste. There is a fridge full of Spindrift which was super nice because Spindrift is pricier than other sparkling water brands. Sadly, because it's so crowded and the fridge is so small, I don't know how often they restock the fridges but all the cans I grabbed were room temperature still. They might need to invest in stronger fridges if they want to chill drinks quicker, especially with how crowded the lounge can get. On that note, there is a kids area. Warning: if you are not a fan of kids, I would recommend other lounges. I think this lounge attracts lots of families (given it's for Reserve cardholders) and if you're a business traveler, gosh it gets rowdy and loud. It's not really the lounge's fault but some parents really do not control their children or care at all. I had two kids constantly get into my space, hovering over my food while playing, stepping over others' backpacks and bags, and running around the area, almost bumping into servers at times. For a first timer, I'd say it was an okay experience. I wish the food was a bit better and it was a bit bigger, buffet and more quiet space...It was kinda hard to get some work done. read more

The Chase Sapphire Lounge always seems to be at capacity, so you'll likely need the Chase Sapphire Reserve card to enter. The service was on-point and led us straight to our table after we checked in. The buffet line featured a selection of small plates, and for breakfast, we had the egg & sausage scramble, spinach & mushroom hash, seeded pancakes, biscuit with whipped goat cheese, and a smoked salmon brown rice bowl. But my favorite small plate was the chicken and egg quesadilla, topped with a corn and black bean salsa. Even better though, were the made-to-order plates you could order from your phone. From this selection, we had the shrimp & cheddar grits, the blueberry yogurt bowl, and the sopa de tortilla (tortilla soup). But the best item of all was the breakfast sando, made in collaboration with the local restaurant chain Oscar's Mexican Seafood. The sandwich was made of scrambled egg, bacon, cheddar, arugula, and jalapeño aioli on a buttered and toasted telera roll, which had a nice crusty texture. I was trying to check in with a guy on a tablet and when he told me I would be on the wait list I was bummed and a nice gentleman that was getting called in brought me in as his plus one so I did not have to wait. He was awesome and seriously the real MVP because all of the lounges had a wait. We had literally the best dinner and everything was phenomenal. I'd say one of the Top 10 lounges. I was in a rush and just wanted a quick pick me up before boarding at a gate nearby. The staff greeted me warmly and I quickly got checked in. The lounge is beautiful with lots of different areas. I got food service from Angela and also Cynthia. Also was greeted and tended to by Ronnie. They were excellent and went above and beyond with their service! The Chase Sapphire Lounge truly shines like its name : an experience as brilliant as a sapphire. From the moment you're welcomed, the warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail make you feel like a VIP . The food alone is worth the visit . The Thai fried chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender all the way through--so flavorful it needed no sauce at all. Starters like the pearl couscous spread with Parmesan , the velvety Muhammara dip with pillowy pita bread , and the broccoli salad delicately drizzled with aromatic Greek olive oil were each fresh and memorable. But the standout for me was the Parmesan coleslaw-style salad --light, crisp, and topped with thin shavings of Parmesan that made it one of the best salads I've ever had. For mains, the lemon- and garlic-scented salmon with fluffy rice and broccoli was so fresh and balanced it felt like a home-cooked meal. The Beyond Meat burger on buttery brioche was hearty and indulgent, while the Asian noodles tossed with spicy sauce, edamame, and chickpeas delivered the perfect kick to become another favorite. The tender pulled meat over brown rice was unexpectedly comforting. The bar is another highlight . David, who remembered my exact preferences, served an Aperol Spritz that was bright and refreshing, a Baileys with cinnamon dusting that felt like dessert in a glass, and both a classic vermouth and a silky espresso martini with a cinnamon twist , all executed with finesse. Beyond cocktails, there are refreshments available at all times along with a full range of coffee options , perfect for any traveler who wants to fuel up day or night. Beyond food and drinks, the lounge itself offers plush, comfortable seating , spa treatments if booked in advance, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes time before a flight genuinely enjoyable . They even have diapers for baby's in the restrooms in case you run into an emergency situation with the little ones. But what truly sets this lounge apart is the people . From Jenny rolling out the Chase-blue carpet , Andrea, Ami, Josue, Jonathan, Isa, and even the next American Idol star colleague who sang for us , everyone ensured check-in and the lounge experience ran seamlessly. Big kudos to the bar team and kitchen staff ‍ who crafted every recipe with passion and care. The service was thoughtful, personal, and exceptional at every step, all carefully led by manager Ayesha Moin, who truly delivers the Sapphire standard. I've traveled through lounges in Dubai, Bangkok, Moscow, Madrid, Paris, and New York , but none match the Sapphire standard set here in San Diego . This isn't just a lounge, it's one of my favorite dining and travel experiences anywhere. I'd happily plan another trip just to relive this San Diego travel state of mind all over again. The lounge wasn't too crowded on a Sunday afternoon when we stopped by. There was plenty of space to stretch out - especially towards the restroom area. The online menu had plenty of variety to choose from (the pre cooked hot food was kind of random so we skipped) and the fridge was well stocked with interesting drinks.
