I've had nothing but positive experiences at this lounge. In the approximate 5 visits within the last year shortly after grand opening, I have only had to wait once. Every other time, I have been able to quickly access this swanky lounge and eat and drink away as if it were my last meal on earth. The food is always delicious. And in case you though there weren't enough options already at the buffet, there's a whole separate menu you can order from by scanning the QR code at your table. There are plenty of outlets for charging. There are spa services, but I can't speak for those (yet). I am also an AMEX Platinum cardholder and although I didn't think Chase could out-do the Centurion lounges, Sapphire Reserve is on par or has a slight edge. Also, you can bring at least one guest into the Chase lounge whereas for US-based Centurion lounges, AMEX cardholders have to spend $75,000 annually to enjoy the same guest benefit. read more

We arrived at the lounge about 8:00 pm on a Tuesday. We were promptly greeted and efficiently checked in. The lounge was fairly full. Almost every table was covered with dirty dishes. We had to clear dishes to a table in order to have an accessible table. No one came to our table or to clear dishes for nearly an hour. So the experience was not great. We went up to the bar to get drinks. The bartender was polite and efficient. The Lounge has an impressive selection toon of spirits. My Manhattan was awesome. We tried the lemon bars and the Asian beef on red rice from the buffet. Both were very good. You can also order off a limited menu. The items I saw coming out looked good. read more

Everything looked super promising and a different day would likely be 5 stars. We checked in and were told there would be a 10 min wait or so. No problem. We received a text saying the wait was over and went back. We were told "it's shared seating... make a friend." OK, cool. We see TWO people get up from a four person table and decide to take it. When we sit down a staff member says the table is for four people since they're busy. I question and say well two people just got up and there was no "reserved" sign up. She responded "no, it's for four people" .... Hmmmm ok... yet, the person in the front said shared seating is cool. Now the positive: the food and drinks were amazing and the bartender was very friendly. Hopefully my next time through will have better service. Staff needs to make sure everyone is one the same page so there isn't conflicting messages. read more

We had a nice lounge visit before our flight yesterday. The lounge was easy to find, right after the West security gate in Terminal 2. We did not have to wait when we arrived around 4 pm on a Tuesday. The lounge was very full, but there are a lot of different rooms and seating options. We found a cozy spot with a table and outlets nearby to charge our devices. We scanned a QR code on the table to order food/drink and reserve a mini facial. There were plenty of quick-grab drinks, like sodas, sparkling water, coffees, flavored water etc. There were also buffet style small plates, which accommodated multiple dietary needs. We ordered drinks from the QR menu, including a gin spritz and a non-alcoholic beer, both came quickly and tasted good. We aren't big drinkers but I noticed the bar is well stocked with premium liquor and they don't seem to be shy on serving. I liked that they had local beer and liquor options. Over our two hour visit, we tried the elote, salmon wrap, and veggie and real burgers. The food was good, but nothing really special in my opinion. I preferred the food at the PHX sapphire lounge. The spa was a nice touch, and both my wife and I were able to get a 15 minute facial before our flight, which was fun and free. I made sure to tip the gal, but she didn't ask for tips. There was a lot of staff and they worked quickly to clear plates, vacuum, etc so the place always looked pretty tidy. Overall a nice place to hang out if you have time to kill before a flight, and need a bite to eat or drink. read more

Still a great lounge to relax at before a flight. Breakfast offerings are alright, the breakfast sandwich being my fave of the made-to-order, with the pesto provolone sandwich as a second. Food at 5am and bar opens at 6am. Made-to-order cocktails from the table QR codes were unreliable and don't think the orders were going in so def easier to grab a drink at the bar in-person. Staff weren't the friendliest on this last visit but maybe just hadn't had coffee yet and the bar gets backed up with only one bartender. Easier to just get a champagne or mimosa but if ordering a real cocktail, skip the QR code or risk not getting your drink. Fave drink was their take on a Carajillo with Tequila, coffee or espresso with a side of chocolate-covered espresso beans. Facials weren't available this early but def worth trying to get one if flying around noon. read more

A really disappointing experience. The place was crowded. So packed, the wait to get in was more than half an hour. The staff are friendly but the lounge is chaotic. What. A. Lounge. I have been a Chase Sapphire Reserve holder for a very long time and have never been to a Sapphire Lounge. I am glad I finally got the chance to. This lounge is definitely one of the nicest ones I have been to. Below are some highlights. First off, Jillian is amazing. She was super professional and made sure our stay was top notch. I would come back just for her customer service. The food and drinks here are awesome. There are premade items around the lounge but you can also scan a QR code and get made to order food as well such as burgers and tacos and cocktails. Everything I got was amazing. The lounging areas are super comfortable with plenty of outlets. Seating can be a bit limited especially for larger parties. WiFi is also super fast. I was lucky enough to get a facial while here. What a treat. I have been to many lounges before but never one that has an esthetician on site for facials. Marissa was super detailed and was awesome. Make sure to tip them! I felt ready to get in the drying airplane cabin. I am definitely getting to the San Diego airport early and hitting this lounge up every time I am here. Amazing job staff! read more

Wow! This is a very nice Chase lounge. We are here a couple hours before our flight home and pleasantly surprised. They have a QR code that has made to order items as well as specialty cocktails, and drinks that you can have ordered to your table so make sure you take a look at that. If you want cocktails other than what is on the app just go ask the bartender- we had a very tasty margarita! The food offering was set up very nicely with a great variety of small plates. The blackened salmon was absolutely amazing. Everything was very tasty, hot if it was supposed to be, and not if it wasn't. Service was excellent. They were several people coming around asking if we needed anything. The bathrooms are spotless as well. This is a great place to relax before your flight can highly recommend. read more

This is an excellent airport lounge; unsurprisingly, as I've been pretty impressed with other chase lounges that I've been to. Luckily there was no wait when I went although seating was definitely running low. It's a smaller lounge compared to, say, LaGuardia, but I appreciated the range of seating joined (eg booths, windows, etc). I had an excellent Bloody Mary and a decent breakfast of eggs and an arugula salad made to order. As is typical of chase lounges, they also had a buffet-style selection of small plates to accompany your meal. The sweet potato frittata was a standout although in general I highly prefer their "made to order" food. As for drinks, they have the standard fare - coffee/espresso, sparkling waters, cocktails, etc. Service was quick and efficient; I noticed that food came out more quickly than I'm accustomed to in these lounges. This is a great lounge in SD and probably one of the best perks of the Chase Sapphire Reserve card! Food was surprisingly great, cocktails were on point, and there was plenty of adequate seating. All of the staff were super friendly, the atmosphere was nicely upscale and clean. Highlights: + The burger and fries was strangely good! Better than the same one I ordered in the NYC Sapphire lounge. I was a bit worried given I'm an Amex platinum nobody... ya know the type... using their priority pass without any restaurant privileges... but clacking our metal cards like those in the very exclusive club of everyone... Basically we get one crack at the lounge here, us nobodies... we get one special chance of the year to feel those who were smart enough to get a credit card who would bring a lounge to San Diego... I mean you could pay $75 for another crack ... but .... The space is freaking light years away from the other lounge options here. You almost feel like you're somewhere else... like an airport with proper lounges! It's very centurion lounge feeling without the Greyhound bus stop open air purgatory that Aspire lounge has. For those who travel a lot, this lounge feels line when you put on your jacket and feel as if you can face the world. Aspire feels like dusting off the knee pads for the many compromises you'll be sure to face. Anyways, the food is kinda shit. Yeah I said it! Better than any other lounge here though. The signature noodles are a mess... congealed noodles with a hit of peanut sauce (yay?)... it goes on and on. . Just a damn mess. But again better than anything on offer here. Service is insanely good. I felt like a very elderly dowager... one with no children and great wealth. Everyone being so very nice and helpful! Like they were after my nonexistent inheritance! I'll say I probably came on an off day for them, because I've really enjoyed my visits to the lounge in Boston's airport and other locations around the country. I luckily came in right before they ran out of seats but it was a struggle to find an open table and had to squeeze in between folks, which was a bit awkward. For breakfast they had breakfast sandwiches, eggs and tacos with Oscar's. I got the fried eggs and a breakfast taco: the eggs were half raw on the inside. Normally I love my eggs over easy, but these were straight up clear whites which was not appetizing at all. The breakfast taco I requested no bacon, and it came with a massive pile of bacon and no avocado (the person next to me got their tacos with lots of avocado) so I think there was a mixup in the kitchen. All the utensils were paper/plastic, I'm not sure if that was just for the busy weekend or if there was something going on with the dishwashers but every table had a huge pile of plates stacked up with no one coming to clear them. The à la carte food was okay too. Fruit was very sweet, but the churro waffle was overly sugary and pretty dense/floppy. The hash was good, though they kept running out and the condiments were all out. Again, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt given it was a busy day for them but it didn't match the experiences I've historically had at other chase lounges. read more

My son and I were a bit early for our flight, and we decided to check out the Chase Sapphire Lounge. Food was quite fancy and limited, however managed to score some sweet potato for my son to eat. The other bites were good, but limiting on what he could eat. We realized there was a children's area after we settled down, and he was instantly intrigued after we went in. Other kiddos were nearby, but they all left for flights so didn't have an opportunity to play with others. He had a blowout while playing in the children's area, and thankfully there are about 3 areas you can change them in. One of the staff kindly walked me back as she was cleaning up, and showed me which areas I could have gone to. As the 2 more private areas were taken, I ended up having to use the womens' restroom towards the end to change him. It was quite the messy blowout, and I was grateful that there wasn't TOO much foot traffic while I was attempting to maneuver the change with him being quite upset after I accidently put him down too quick/him squirming around constantly. After maybe 15-20 minutes, he was cleaned up and we hung around for maybe 5 minutes before we needed to head out to make it for our flight as it was a far hallways down. We definitely would want to come back - and I hope for that little airplane he was playing with, we could possibly purchase, as that was his first time interested in an airplane instead of the cars. read more

I got food service from Angela and also Cynthia. Also was greeted and tended to by Ronnie. They were excellent and went above and beyond with their service! The Chase Sapphire Lounge always seems to be at capacity, so you'll likely need the Chase Sapphire Reserve card to enter. The service was on-point and led us straight to our table after we checked in. The buffet line featured a selection of small plates, and for breakfast, we had the egg & sausage scramble, spinach & mushroom hash, seeded pancakes, biscuit with whipped goat cheese, and a smoked salmon brown rice bowl. But my favorite small plate was the chicken and egg quesadilla, topped with a corn and black bean salsa. Even better though, were the made-to-order plates you could order from your phone. From this selection, we had the shrimp & cheddar grits, the blueberry yogurt bowl, and the sopa de tortilla (tortilla soup). But the best item of all was the breakfast sando, made in collaboration with the local restaurant chain Oscar's Mexican Seafood. The sandwich was made of scrambled egg, bacon, cheddar, arugula, and jalapeño aioli on a buttered and toasted telera roll, which had a nice crusty texture. Wow this Sapphire Lounge is impressively spacious. Accessible via the sapphire reserve card or priority pass travel card. Lots of seating area, beautiful art on the walls, good lighting, and amenities. They had a decent deflection of food during breakfast hours and beautifully prepared. To those of us who play the credit card benefits game beyond points and miles lounge access and amenities has always been an Amex game, but with them dropping the ball globally we've seen an uptick in high quality lounges across the globe from competitors like Capital One, but more spcifically Chase. Their strategy in creating better lounges at key airports both domesitcally and abroad has show us what it's supposed to be like. Vying for our loyalty and spend. Flying out of SAN i've never much cared for lounges on the outbound legs, but coming home has always been a nice respite for a weary traveller and often I plan trips based on lounge access becuase afterall who wants to go to a lounge when you can just go home. Even if the amenities are free, my time away is too valueble. A large, spacious lounge that more than rivals Amex. You can get in using a Reserve card of PP. I believe there are limittations to access when you ahve a PP or a Preferred. It's even worth it for a day pass because the food, service, ambiance is all there. Sure you have the usual flyers who are rude, take up too much space, are loud, obnoxious and act like they've never been in a lounge or really just bothersome to us road warriors, but all in all it's so new everyone is just checking it out. It's very busy becuase it's so new, it's the latest and greatest, most people are trying to take advantage of them becuase we've been neglected by SAN lounges for so long. I always reccomend keeping your sunglasses on at all times, noise cancelling headphones and looking pre-occupied at your own pace becuase I find alot of people aren't here to kind of act the part rather than use it what it's meant for. I will not sacrifice my experience here for others, sorry. There are grab and go snacks and small plates to entrees. Drinks are good, but not as impressive as the Chase set ups in NYC or at the menu at the US Open. Service is better than Amex and PP, but I think that's becuase they are new, lets give them a few years and see if they hold up. With Phoenix open and soon to be Vegas I'm pretty happy with the network. They just closed Austin, but that wasn't a full lounge. Having a Chicago location would make me infinitely happy as that's my usual destination. read more

From the moment you're welcomed, the warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail make you feel like a VIP . The food alone is worth the visit . The Thai fried chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender all the way through--so flavorful it needed no sauce at all. Starters like the pearl couscous spread with Parmesan , the velvety Muhammara dip with pillowy pita bread , and the broccoli salad delicately drizzled with aromatic Greek olive oil were each fresh and memorable. But the standout for me was the Parmesan coleslaw-style salad --light, crisp, and topped with thin shavings of Parmesan that made it one of the best salads I've ever had. For mains, the lemon- and garlic-scented salmon with fluffy rice and broccoli was so fresh and balanced it felt like a home-cooked meal. The Beyond Meat burger on buttery brioche was hearty and indulgent, while the Asian noodles tossed with spicy sauce, edamame, and chickpeas delivered the perfect kick to become another favorite. The tender pulled meat over brown rice was unexpectedly comforting. The bar is another highlight . David, who remembered my exact preferences, served an Aperol Spritz that was bright and refreshing, a Baileys with cinnamon dusting that felt like dessert in a glass, and both a classic vermouth and a silky espresso martini with a cinnamon twist , all executed with finesse. Beyond cocktails, there are refreshments available at all times along with a full range of coffee options , perfect for any traveler who wants to fuel up day or night. Beyond food and drinks, the lounge itself offers plush, comfortable seating , spa treatments if booked in advance, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes time before a flight genuinely enjoyable . They even have diapers for baby's in the restrooms in case you run into an emergency situation with the little ones. But what truly sets this lounge apart is the people . From Jenny rolling out the Chase-blue carpet , Andrea, Ami, Josue, Jonathan, Isa, and even the next American Idol star colleague who sang for us , everyone ensured check-in and the lounge experience ran seamlessly. Big kudos to the bar team and kitchen staff ‍ who crafted every recipe with passion and care. The service was thoughtful, personal, and exceptional at every step, all carefully led by manager Ayesha Moin, who truly delivers the Sapphire standard. I've traveled through lounges in Dubai, Bangkok, Moscow, Madrid, Paris, and New York , but none match the Sapphire standard set here in San Diego . This isn't just a lounge, it's one of my favorite dining and travel experiences anywhere. I'd happily plan another trip just to relive this San Diego travel state of mind all over again. Such a great addition to the San Diego airport! Lounge is located between Gate 46 & 47 in Terminal 2. There is an elevator that takes you to the entrance or you can take the stairs. There are staff members who manage the occupancy before you can enter. The food and drinks were excellent, definitely better than other lounges. I've been to a few different Sapphire lounges and this one reminded me a bit of the one in LGA but without the upstairs. The lounge itself was pretty big with several different rooms to sit in with tables. The bar area was quite large as well. The staff was all attentive and friendly. Definitely glad chase finally added a sapphire lounge to SD! They have a decent selection of cocktails and local craft beer on par with other lounges. And although the food is okay, I was disappointed with the selection of food curated from Oscar's menu. Would've loved to see some fish tacos on there! The staff is friendly and accommodating and there's plenty of seating with a decent view. There is also the option for a facial that you can schedule ahead of time. read more

Thank you and yes please!!! Staff... great! Food... great! Drinks... great! Decor...great! Spaces... great! I mean, what's not to love?! Love the calm classy vibes before taking off an another adventure! Checking in is easy with your Chase Sapphire Reserve Card or Priority pass. Check out the pre-plated food items, desserts, snacks and fruit. Grab a spot to sit. Join the WiFi, scan the QR and order made to order food and drink items brought out to your table! Love it! Stop by or sit at the bar if you want a different drink than what is on the menu. Always could spend more time here but alas, time is limited here to 3 hours prior to your flight so I usually plan to get in early stop by for an hour before heading to our gate. On our 4th visit this year we were able to snag some luggage tags! They had been out of stock all the times we visited before, I just assumed that it was during the opening and was happy to have a little takeaway item to put on our bags. Until our next visit, can't wait! Only downside is that if you're flying out of Terminal 1, you'll have to go through security twice if you want to stop by this Lounge in Terminal 2. Waiting for the construction to be completed since I heard that in 2028 or so they'll have a connection between terminal 1 and 2 after TSA security. Until then, plan accordingly if you're not flying out of Terminal 2 and want to stop by.
