    Mimosa

Staff were nice and service was quick. I got a strong mimosa and was able to add orange juice. They had breakfast options available: bagels, cereal, oatmeal, and fruit. The hard boiled eggs were over boiled. There were plenty of seats but minimal table options.

I did not have to wait long to enter this time and had no problem finding a seat. I was early but had to wait for clean coffee cups but once they were brought out I was able to get in a better mood. Both coffee machines were working! The small breakfast selection was ok but not as nice as the aspire lounge in SMF. The staff is working hard as this is a busy lounge. There is a Chase Sapphire lounge near gates 45 I might try out next. The big windows are fun to observe.

It's better than sitting in the terminal but nonetheless a subpar choice in the morning. Only one of two coffee machines working. The only hot food option is oatmeal. Check-in for entry to the club is inefficient.

The aspire lounge is located in SAN San Diego international airport terminal 2 near Alaska gate 23. Certain credit card memberships can you get in (there were a dozen), but anyone can pay $50 to enter. They had a great bar, fast service, strong drinks. Some of the power outlets didn't work, but I think it was my equipment and not their fault. There is a variety of food, soup, veggies and fruit. I didn't see any coffee cups where you can take coffee to go onto the plane. I prefer chase sapphire lounge in terminal 2. But if I got one of the member cards, I would come again.

Salad and more pasta salad and hummus.

Better than I thought! I had to wait around 20 min to get in, but had all my basic necessities fulfilled. Plenty of food, salads are nicely tossed, pasta salad good. Hummus and carrots good. Soup was good. The peach iced tea was not sweet so that was good. Seats were comfortable and clean, a lot of staff walking around clearing tables. The bathroom could use a little more work. The bar does not let you take bottled water for free unless you pay $2. The WiFi did not work. I was glad it was included with my priority pass program.

My second time here and today this place was packed. The disappointment was the food was closed down earlier than the lounge. The offerings were great but they seem to want to get rid of the food fast. They were throwing the food away. I do like this lounge. It would've been nice to keep the food around a bit longer. Staff were great though.

    nice selections.

Mia was our bartender yesterday and she was amazinggg. she was the only one really at the bar but she worked really fast. great alcohol options. the lounge was packed when we got in @7:00am we probably got the last seats at the bar. (thanks to a lady who switched seats for us). the breakfast food wasnt too great honestly. was hoping for some hot foods.

Decent priority pass lounge in terminal 2, San Diego airport. They have some nibbles and drink while waiting for flights. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. It can get very crowded during peak hours and there can be a waitlist.

    Yuk. Old cheese, eggs, etc.

This lounge is the worst. Coffee maker is broken half the time. Same crappy cheese slices and old vegetables with nasty old ranch every time. Old thick as clay warm oatmeal. Front desk seems to never know how to check you in (except Valerie - she's fantastic). And they got rid of all to-go containers to reduce waste. I'm an environmentalist but for as much as I pay for the club that's crap. Use recycled materials. There's bins throughout the airport. Simple. It would be zero stars but Valerie and the bartenders are awesome and make mean Bloody Maria's!

It looks beat down. Fairly small lounge. Inside was not that clean too. Chairs and tables look very old. Food isn't good. And was very few selection. Soup was ok though. But it is quiet and you can charge your phone. Workers were nice.

Absolutely nothing for over an hour

Every other time, I have been able to quickly access this swanky lounge and eat and drink away as if it were my last meal on earth. The food is always delicious. And in case you though there weren't enough options already at the buffet, there's a whole separate menu you can order from by scanning the QR code at your table. There are plenty of outlets for charging. There are spa services, but I can't speak for those (yet). I am also an AMEX Platinum cardholder and although I didn't think Chase could out-do the Centurion lounges, Sapphire Reserve is on par or has a slight edge. Also, you can bring at least one guest into the Chase lounge whereas for US-based Centurion lounges, AMEX cardholders have to spend $75,000 annually to enjoy the same guest benefit.

We had to clear dishes to a table in order to have an accessible table. No one came to our table or to clear dishes for nearly an hour. So the experience was not great. We went up to the bar to get drinks. The bartender was polite and efficient. The Lounge has an impressive selection toon of spirits. My Manhattan was awesome. We tried the lemon bars and the Asian beef on red rice from the buffet. Both were very good. You can also order off a limited menu. The items I saw coming out looked good.

Unfortunately, the TSA pre-check processing time ended up being about 7 to 10 minutes. It was no worry for me except for that. I got secondary checked and then it was like why? Anyway, when I got in the terminal, I hit up the better Buzz Coffee Spot, so that I could have a little something to eat. I had not eaten breakfast yet. I knew that this trip might cause me to not have any food for the day and so I needed something to start myself off to prepare for that. I have a review for the Better Buzz Coffee in terminal one separate from this review. After I got my coffee I was happy to get in the terminal and walk to my gate. For some reason, even though I love this new terminal, it's still seems like there is not enough seating for all of the passengers who are traveling out or in. I wish that that can still be addressed even though the terminal is done with the remodeling. On the way back it was just great to be back in my home airport as the Las Vegas airport was trash. This place has really nice amenities and I appreciate the San Diego International Airport terminal one remodel. The restaurants are fantastic. The vibe is great and there are several areas where you can just stop and chill and have a drink in a bar, or get a massage, or get a shower, or take your pet to be relieved, or...all of those things. Overall, my departure and arrival experience was wonderful thank you.

For departure, the TSA PreCheck line moved quickly and was easy. The only downside is that San Diego Airport still only has one runway. Our flight was delayed about 30 minutes after we left the gate due to planes being stacked for arrivals. From what I understand, this has been an issue for decades at this airport and will eventually need to be addressed.

Hubby and I were headed to Puerto Escondido, which is very expensive and very time-consuming to fly to from the airport in San Diego. However, flight prices and times were much more reasonable from Tijuana. Thanks to CBX, we didn't need to find anyone to cross the border and drive us directly to the airport, especially as our flight departed at 5:40 AM. It was nice to have an easy drop off on this side of the border. Anyway, we were dropped off on the US side, and had pre-purchased CBX tickets online for $50 per person, round trip. I felt that the price was very fair for the staffing and amenities along the way. We had already reserved a rideshare to drive us to CBX, but I saw the secure parking lots and realized that parking there is also a valid, safe option. It appeared that some of the secured parking cost about $30 per day, making it a good option depending how may days you would like to park your car. Anyway, when we entered, there were people guiding us, as it wasn't too crowded at that early hour. You scan your CBX ticket, your boarding pass, and your passport. Then you are able to walk through the barriers. There are escalators and elevators to get to the bridge, and signs stating that there is assistance available for people with disabilities. The bridge was clean and air-conditioned. We walked through customs just prior to entering the Tijuana airport. When I had learned about CBX, I was reluctant. A friend of mine told me that she had walked much further in various airports. It is true. The walk is short and easy Upon coming back to the states, we learned that there were several taco and other food trucks on the US side of CBX, as well as Starbucks and a well-known mall pretzel company. All in all, I am grateful to have a way to access the TJ airoprt in a very easy and affordable way. I plan to continue to use CBX for more affordable flights south of the border.

I used CBX to fly from TIJ to San Miguel Allende 10 years ago, and recently to Cancun. Both times were uneventful, exactly how I like my airport experiences to be.
