Great personnel at the concierge, but not so polite or accommodating staff at the bar area, thus the three star rating today.

3 stars might seem a little harsh for a Delta Sky Club, especially considering that Delta is my airline of choice, but this score is relative to other Delta Sky Clubs I've been. First, let's start with the good: [[HIGHLIGHT]]the views of the airport from the 'outside' area are phenomenal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You actually don't get this in all other Delta Sky Clubs. The staff here are super friendly, and there is even this one guy that will come by and take & dispose your trash. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is one bar in the main seating area, and because it doesn't get as packed, it is usually not too busy or difficult to get a drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, the space is smaller than most other Delta Sky Clubs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not a deal breaker, but then the food selection is not great. When I was there, I remember there were cold wraps, this warm chicken dish, tomato bisque, and the usual desserts like cookies, strawberry shortcake in tiny mason jars, and fruit. What was kinda gross, though, is that there were fruit flies around the food station, and they definitely landed on some of the foods. So, not very appetizing to say the least. I would totally give this lounge another try the next time I'm in SD, but it needs some work.

This is a smaller delta lounge compared to their other lounges but the food and drink selection is still very good. We came at a very good time where 80% of the lounge was empty! It's on the mezzanine level, with nice views. Service was very good. Lots of options for hot and cold food.

Decent size Sky Club. It's divided into two areas, first you have the main area that includes the main seating area, the bar and the food area. Then they have "sky deck", which is indoors, where they have more drink options (water, lemonade, ice tea, coffee) and additional snacks, more seating and if you go towards the back, they have the restroom. Food offerings were ok, wasn't really impressed, but it kept you full. The cold food station looked like the foods were sitting out little longer than they should. The staff were very friendly, finding seat was not an issue, but finding a seat with an outlet was, as those seats were all occupied :(

Great customer service and decent food here. Drinks at the bar are great. Our server was Mo and he was very friendly and super customer service oriented. He greeted us upon arrival into the seating area. There were some delays with the food being replenished, but still there was plenty to eat. They ran out of Birria de Res. I overheard one of the women staff members say that since the last few flights were getting ready to board, that they would not put out any more food. That made me sad because we were trying to get a bite before our overnight flight since they do not serve meals for flights departing after 8p. We were able to get a few food items, desserts, cocktails, and hot cocoa plus coffee. Overall, this is a great and comfortable Delta Sky Club Lounge. The Old Fashioned cocktails are DELICIOUS here; perfectly made. I'll review our First Class flight experience as well.

Had to once again travel for work... unfortunately my beloved Alaska Airlines wasn't going to cut it and so Delta it would have to be. The fun trade off is that while I would surely not be getting an upgrade on the flight, I would be able to use their lounge! With Amex platinum you are able to access Delta lounges provided you are flying on Delta that day. The Delta lounge is SO MUCH better than the Aspire lounge. The Aspire lounge is ... like a holding pen for freight animals, while the Delta lounge is a nicer kennel for the animals... Camilla was very excited to get to the nicer lounge and hurried up to the bar... she was greeted very warmly by the staff who all were happy to see that hen's really can fly! (Provided that have a ticket of course!) The champagne was... not great. At least to Camilla... she much preferred an old fashioned. At the very least we were able to get her settled! The food spread is pretty good all things being considered. I mean the Aspire lounge is a place where you have to get elbow to elbow for your bit of cheese and pasta salad.. here you can get it with ease along with soup, salad, hummus, salsa, desserts, and sandwiches... lots of veggie fare for those of us who like a little plant in our gobs. The lounge itself is small. There was seating but the outside was taken up. I usually prefer sitting on the little terrace because you can pretend you're outside. There are ample places to charge your devices! I have yet to visit the United club (ohhh what a bitter story I have to tell about that lol) so I can't say if it's the best lounge in SAN, but Delta is loads better than the Aspire lounge. Those with Amex platinum hoping to access the club should take note: 1. They don't let you in more than 3 hours from your departure time 2. Load your Amex into the the app so that all you need to do is scan your boarding pass. It makes things sooooooo much easier! Remember to bring some $1's to use for tipping! I have to always make sure to carry cash so I'm not left stiffing anyone. All in all I recommend a visit!

This may be the smallest Delta Sky Lounge we have ever been in. Small buffet for breakfast set up. The lunch buffet is set out on their patio area. The miga is decent. The veggie patty is awful, they are hard and are stuck to the bottom of the chafing pan and are so hard and crusty, they have a crunch to them as you bite into them. They do make use of all of their walk space for seating. The staff are really good about keeping your small table space cleared out. The tomato, mozzarella, pesto spinach wrap is okay, better with a bit of the red pepper hummus on each bite of it. Their rice crispy sadly tastes stale. The mixed green and balsamic dressing is okay at least, the best part of the lunch buffet. I could use a good dosage of greens.

Tiny, narrow and not fully stacked. This Sky Club has your basic needs, but is limited on goodies. The staff are always great and amazing, but that's about the highlight of this club. Finding a comfy seat might be a challenge during busy times. It is what it is!

Super small but hit most of the marks you'd expect from a Delta Sky Club. Good selection of warm and cold meal options as well as snacks and drinks. Space is compact but light and warm. Service team was very attentive.

Upon checking-in, they have someone take you to a table, which was nice. They have a variety of mobile food order options and self-serve options. The street corn and burger were fantastic. Full bar and specialty non-alcoholic drinks as well. A variety of espresso options that can make a drink with either 2% milk OR oatmilk, which I haven't seen before. You can also get cold brew. Kid-friendly: small playroom with magnet toys and books. They also have Yumi fruit bars and Apple juices. If you're lucky and you happen to be here 3 hours before your flight, you MIGHT be able to snag a 15min complimentary facial treatment. When we arrived, the earliest reservation was 2 hours in the future.

Luckily, I was able to get inside because when I left the lounge for my flight, they posted a sign at the elevator saying there is a waitlist and it's full. Because when I went upstairs and checked in...my goodness, it seriously was crowded. The food was okay? I don't really have too many qualms about it. You find a seat and then scan the QR code to get into the Chase Sapphire Lounge network website to order food, reserve the relaxation space (I didn't have the time to try this but I saw it was booked up), and more. I ordered some food and unfortunately, the wrap was kind of dry and the other dish didn't have much flavor. I should have went with the burger...the cold buffet ended up being better than the ordered food. I enjoyed the toast the most, weirdly....maybe it's just my taste. There is a fridge full of Spindrift which was super nice because Spindrift is pricier than other sparkling water brands. Sadly, because it's so crowded and the fridge is so small, I don't know how often they restock the fridges but all the cans I grabbed were room temperature still. They might need to invest in stronger fridges if they want to chill drinks quicker, especially with how crowded the lounge can get. On that note, there is a kids area. Warning: if you are not a fan of kids, I would recommend other lounges. I think this lounge attracts lots of families (given it's for Reserve cardholders) and if you're a business traveler, gosh it gets rowdy and loud. It's not really the lounge's fault but some parents really do not control their children or care at all. I had two kids constantly get into my space, hovering over my food while playing, stepping over others' backpacks and bags, and running around the area, almost bumping into servers at times. For a first timer, I'd say it was an okay experience. I wish the food was a bit better and it was a bit bigger, buffet and more quiet space...It was kinda hard to get some work done.

Drop off by our Uber driver was super easy, and we just had a brief walk to find the SW check in area which has high ceilings and is very bright. There was a short line but we were quickly helped. Then we breezed through security with TSA PRE, and had a five minute walk to gate 107. Even though our flight was delayed by an hour, we still got here realllllllly early, so I had some time to explore the terminal. Firstly, the bathrooms are huge & really nice. The stalls have plenty of space for luggage & belongings so you can maneuver & use the restroom comfortably. Big plus there! Secondly, I spotted at least five water bottle refill / water fountain stations which is always appreciated. Thirdly, there are a number of eateries, coffee shops (including Better Buzz & Lofty Coffee), bars, & stores available for your dining, drinking & shopping pleasure. Near the food court, there was also live music & a sampling station for some of the fun drinks that are offered in the terminal. I had a sample of the San Diego Sunset lemonade & it was so good! There's also a huge outdoor patio with various seating arrangements where you can enjoy your food, watch the planes or just relax. It is a great space! The gate areas are fine. They have a mix of typical chair seating with plugs, standup counter space, and low couches. Due to air traffic control delays, the gate areas have been very busy and crowded. There were cleaning folks in the bathrooms, but no cleaning folks monitoring the gate areas which I think is warranted, Also, there are no lounges yet in Terminal 1, so to access a lounge, you'd have walk to Terminal 2. That's a little bit of a bummer. I'm not sure if there are plans for a lounge here, but I hope there are... This was not a terrible place to spend a few hours waiting for our flight, and there were little touches here & there like the music & drink sampling that made this experience a little more enjoyable and less taxing. Mahalo!

I saw Aztec style art on the central atrium and fountains in another area. Construction is in progress to updater Terminal 1. I saw several interesting restaurants in the central food court and out in one of the terminals. The staff that I encountered was friendly and helpful. Even TSA was friendly.

Not only was it a way to drastically cut our expenses (domestic flights from within Mexico are obviously way cheaper than international flights from LA), but it was such a calm, streamlined, easy operation. We got to the parking lot early for our 7am flight out of Tijuana, walked to the check in terminal & that's where we encountered our one and only 'hiccup.' Because we had 3 children with us, the Viva desk check-in said we needed to speak to a representative but we were told the only one on duty at that time was in the restroom. Luckily the stand alone kiosk on the other side of the area worked out fine. All of this was more of a Viva issue than a CBX one. We breezed through the bridge over the boarder & customs took no time at all. It was one of the quickest customs experiences I've ever had. We got dumped out right at the bag check area & were on for our trip. Coming home was just as easy. We got our bags and followed the well marked signs to CBX to walk over the boarder & do customs. Customs took a tad bit longer than going to Mexico, but that's more of a US thing than CBX. We still got through in was less time than expected, even when arriving on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend when I would normally expect huge crowds of people trying to get in to the country. In all, we saved hundreds of dollars even after paying for CBX & parking on location. We will always be using them from here on out for any family trips to Mexico.
