I give this sky lounge, a solid four. It's not the biggest or the most modern location that I have been to. I came for breakfast this morning and they had really good lemon pepper deviled eggs and they were also making breakfast tacos out on the balcony. Score! This lounge is conveniently located just past security in Terminal 2 on the second floor. When I visited on a Sunday around 4:30pm, check-in was quick with no line, and the lounge was fairly empty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a smaller space overall, and the food options were somewhat limited.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were three hot dishes available: chicken, rice, and vegetables, along with chicken noodle soup. Cold options included a selection of meats, cheeses, dips, chips, and salads. They also had a dessert bar with snacks and fruit. All in all, it was a nice perk to access through my credit card benefits, but I wouldn't go out of my way to pay the entry fee. read more

I thought this place was itty bitty compared to all the others, but I was surprised the outside area just kept on going! Ultimately, however, it is still smaller than most. When I arrived, it was empty, but filled up over the next two hours and there was a line to get in as I left. Food and staff were great as always, especially the bartender. 3 stars might seem a little harsh for a Delta Sky Club, especially considering that Delta is my airline of choice, but this score is relative to other Delta Sky Clubs I've been. First, let's start with the good: [[HIGHLIGHT]]the views of the airport from the 'outside' area are phenomenal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You actually don't get this in all other Delta Sky Clubs. The staff here are super friendly, and there is even this one guy that will come by and take & dispose your trash. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is one bar in the main seating area, and because it doesn't get as packed, it is usually not too busy or difficult to get a drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, the space is smaller than most other Delta Sky Clubs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not a deal breaker, but then the food selection is not great. When I was there, I remember there were cold wraps, this warm chicken dish, tomato bisque, and the usual desserts like cookies, strawberry shortcake in tiny mason jars, and fruit. What was kinda gross, though, is that there were fruit flies around the food station, and they definitely landed on some of the foods. So, not very appetizing to say the least. I would totally give this lounge another try the next time I'm in SD, but it needs some work. read more

Decent size Sky Club. It's divided into two areas, first you have the main area that includes the main seating area, the bar and the food area. Then they have "sky deck", which is indoors, where they have more drink options (water, lemonade, ice tea, coffee) and additional snacks, more seating and if you go towards the back, they have the restroom. Food offerings were ok, wasn't really impressed, but it kept you full. The cold food station looked like the foods were sitting out little longer than they should. The staff were very friendly, finding seat was not an issue, but finding a seat with an outlet was, as those seats were all occupied :( read more

Great customer service and decent food here. Drinks at the bar are great. Our server was Mo and he was very friendly and super customer service oriented. He greeted us upon arrival into the seating area. There were some delays with the food being replenished, but still there was plenty to eat. They ran out of Birria de Res. I overheard one of the women staff members say that since the last few flights were getting ready to board, that they would not put out any more food. That made me sad because we were trying to get a bite before our overnight flight since they do not serve meals for flights departing after 8p. We were able to get a few food items, desserts, cocktails, and hot cocoa plus coffee. Overall, this is a great and comfortable Delta Sky Club Lounge. The Old Fashioned cocktails are DELICIOUS here; perfectly made. I'll review our First Class flight experience as well. read more

Had to once again travel for work... unfortunately my beloved Alaska Airlines wasn't going to cut it and so Delta it would have to be. The fun trade off is that while I would surely not be getting an upgrade on the flight, I would be able to use their lounge! With Amex platinum you are able to access Delta lounges provided you are flying on Delta that day. The Delta lounge is SO MUCH better than the Aspire lounge. The Aspire lounge is ... like a holding pen for freight animals, while the Delta lounge is a nicer kennel for the animals... Camilla was very excited to get to the nicer lounge and hurried up to the bar... she was greeted very warmly by the staff who all were happy to see that hen's really can fly! (Provided that have a ticket of course!) The champagne was... not great. At least to Camilla... she much preferred an old fashioned. At the very least we were able to get her settled! The food spread is pretty good all things being considered. I mean the Aspire lounge is a place where you have to get elbow to elbow for your bit of cheese and pasta salad.. here you can get it with ease along with soup, salad, hummus, salsa, desserts, and sandwiches... lots of veggie fare for those of us who like a little plant in our gobs. The lounge itself is small. There was seating but the outside was taken up. I usually prefer sitting on the little terrace because you can pretend you're outside. There are ample places to charge your devices! I have yet to visit the United club (ohhh what a bitter story I have to tell about that lol) so I can't say if it's the best lounge in SAN, but Delta is loads better than the Aspire lounge. Those with Amex platinum hoping to access the club should take note: 1. They don't let you in more than 3 hours from your departure time 2. Load your Amex into the the app so that all you need to do is scan your boarding pass. It makes things sooooooo much easier! Remember to bring some $1's to use for tipping! I have to always make sure to carry cash so I'm not left stiffing anyone. All in all I recommend a visit! read more

This may be the smallest Delta Sky Lounge we have ever been in. Small buffet for breakfast set up. The lunch buffet is set out on their patio area. The miga is decent. The veggie patty is awful, they are hard and are stuck to the bottom of the chafing pan and are so hard and crusty, they have a crunch to them as you bite into them. They do make use of all of their walk space for seating. The staff are really good about keeping your small table space cleared out. The tomato, mozzarella, pesto spinach wrap is okay, better with a bit of the red pepper hummus on each bite of it. Their rice crispy sadly tastes stale. The mixed green and balsamic dressing is okay at least, the best part of the lunch buffet. I could use a good dosage of greens. read more

My wife and I were on our way home and we had passes to the Delta Sky Club around 10 AM or so. The breakfast spread was out and it was a smaller club than what have been to before and I think it is fairly new, because it is on the second floor of the terminal. The check in guy was super nice and the food was buffet style, some premade egg bites, which I have had before and are pretty good, your typical pastries and some parfaits. I ordered a wheat beer, which was on the free draft list and it ran out about half way through and then a Space Dust India pale ale, which wasn't free, but ran out, so I got it for free. I finished with their last IPA, which also cost money. You could have got a Michelob Ultra as well if you desired. Very nice bartender, I really wish you didn't have to get all draft beers. A lot of the clubs have cans of Heineken you can get from a fridge, along with cans of soda. Oh well. Not bad, not great. read more

As a Lifetime Member, I generally prefer to go to the DL clubs over the UA clubs. I can do this when they are located in the terminal from which I am flying. At SFO, the DL club is a 10-15 min walk from the F gates. It is much nicer than the old United Club by the F rotunda. We flew UA from SAN to SFO the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It was busy, of course. The UA and DL clubs are right next to each other. They are both fairly small. I chose the DL club. It was crowded. We first had a small table for the 3 of us inside. After a few minutes, a table in the "outside part" became free. It was airy and nice. I bought a bottle of rosé champagne for us, my usual at the DL clubs. The food was limited in comparison to larger clubs, but it was good. I later wanted to get a bottle of the Pinot Noir, but they had it in storage. It came in too late, since we were boarding soon. That's why I took off a point. read more

Very clean and associates keep to themselves but friendly when you need help. The seating areas are always cleaned and and well kept. The seating area by the entrance is limited but keep walking and you'll find more areas to sit I clueing work stations and a printer to use if you need. The restrooms are small, only two stalls in the ladies. But each stall is completely private. And the bathrooms are always clean. The food and drinks are always plenty and a good option. You'll find they are labeled gluten free, dairy free to help with dietary restrictions too. read more

10 years old and can't find my old reviews. Always loved the San Diego airport layout and wished SLC would have patterned their new multi billion dollar disaster of an airport after this one. Nice layout, no need to walk for miles and miles. The Sky Club is located close to the Delta concourse and great happy smiling representatives to greet upon entering. Food was nice and summery and went great with the 73 degree sunny weather. San Diego has the best temperatures year round in my opinion. For sure will be back when in SD again! read more

I usually keep to myself and you can find an area or table to sit at or share and not be on top of another. The ladies working the lounge areas were incredible. Non-stop the whole time I was in here. Cleaning up tables. Sweeping and nothing on the buffet was ever empty. The food was very decent considering the amount of people that come through the lounge. The SAN location of the Delta Sky Club chain is a secret I am finally no longer going to gatekeep. I truly believe this is the best Sky Club in the entire US. It may not be as large as the ones in LAX or the NYC area airports, but it is clean, relaxing, intimate and has a great vibe. The staff who work there are phenomenal. They are incredibly friendly and helpful and make an effort to show that Delta is the superior airline in every way. They always have a great food bar situation set up, and the bartenders are always on point. The bathroom is the biggest reason why I like coming here. It is always clean and quiet with high end amenities, the complete opposite of every other bathroom in the airport. As per the usual Sky Club policy, not every drink is included in the "open bar" some premium beverages require payment in cash or Delta Skymiles but the menu is available at the bar, online, etc so you can decide which drink to get. Ample outlets everywhere, but not at every single table so look around. Free wifi. There are computers/printing station for last minute necessary documents. This lounge is located as close to the Delta gates as an airline lounge can be, so no need to leave the lounge really early to make your flight, I would give yourself ~10 minutes before you expect your group to board although the Delta app should provide updates of when your group is about to be called. read more

I thought I would like this space a lot but it quickly became congested by mid-morning. Much smaller than JFK-Term 2 location. Also the food was less than mediocre with very few options for both breakfast and lunch. JFK was much better and more diverse. Again, I have to say that the bar was a huge downside for me. After being a member at Centurion for a few years where you get free drinks no matter what including signature cocktails, it was quite disappointing when I asked for a gin martini and the bartender said that it would be extra because he would be putting a show for me. Seriously? Ridiculous. Lastly, with all my luggage in the lounge, I placed one foot out to see if a friend had come up and went back in. The staff at the counter then asked for my boarding pass and identity. I have never had this happen at any lounge before. I didn't even leave the front area. read more

Bottom line: it's a great place to relax. I was a bit skeptical at first but once I got inside, it was an oasis that I didn't even realize I needed. This club is relatively smaller than other clubs around the country but it has all your essentials. A full service bar, a great spread for lunch/dinner, outside deck seating overlooking the food court, and bathrooms. Because it's relatively small, it can get really crowded quickly but the couple of hours I spent there... the crowd ebbed and flowed nicely. Service: the checkin was quick and courteous. The front desk ladies were very nice and informed me of my departure time. The bartender was very attentive and quick with the drinks. Also made some great recommendations when I was unsure of what to get. Food: great spread from soups to chicken-burgers to veggie sticks to vegan choices. Again, pleasantly surprised by the amount of food they had available to the crowd. I especially enjoyed their s'more pudding for dessert. Overall: great venue. Where you have to throw a napkin at the bartender to get their attention. Food selection is small and general. Nothing fancy but at least you can feed your stomach a little something and drink even more. Service is great and the will inform you on where your gate is located and if there a a gate change. Great place to relax and space out, charge your electronics, grab a drink and exchange conversations with travelers. Small and intimate shouldn't be the norm for an airport lounge no matter how many restrictions you place to admissions. For what it is, they do keep the place clean and offer good service. At capacity you could fit up to 75 ppl. Great views of the tarmac since it's located at the mezzanine level. Best time to avoid crowds would be mornings before 10a and late evenings. It doesn't feel like you are escaping the normal airport feel when in this lounge because you can hear and see everything.
