This review may seem a little "over-the-top," but believe me it is not. Tom Chase and his crew are the most knowledgeable and thorough group of tree men you will find anywhere. They believe in communication so there are no surprises along the way. They keep asking what you want, and help if you're indecisive and/or unknowledgeable. They cut down four dead and dying trees. One 97 foot dead Pine and three Oaks, and cut the dead wood off 19 other Oak trees that have suffered from the drought, though many of the trees are very tall and old. Then they cleaned and chipped the entire area of branches and limbs. They even cleaned the fallen leaves from the roofs of buildings, as well. The improvement in my property is measurable. Tom even arranged for me to get the oak wood split and stacked (by an outside crew) for use this winter. Scott, the tree topper is an amazing athlete, and the young guys who assist with the cleanup, Ryan and Cameron, are very thorough. Everyone is friendly and kind. About the cost: Chase Tree Service is not the least expensive, but the additional cleaning and placement of the downed wood is above and beyond what anyone else will do for you. The work was done in two days and came in at the estimate. I could not be happier with the level of integrity of Chase Tree Service. 5 Star! We live in Auburn on 3 acres loaded with trees. I called Chase Tree Service out to take a look at a large oak tree that had fallen over & was resting on power lines to our house. Tom was out within the hour. Quoted a reasonable price to take down oak tree. Tom's crew was out the next day, & Tom had already emailed me their insurance certificates. His crew was so professional (I am in the construction business so I know what this means) that I had them also take down a 120' ponderosa pine that was starting to lean towards the house. I was extremely impressed with their safety and their professionalism. Reasonable price, prompt reply, & professional workers, Couldn't be more satisfied. *PG&E tree subcontractors were out last summer on our property taking out trees that were close to main power lines. Wasn't impressed. Broke my NID water supply manifold 3 different times. I asked for two truckloads of the chips and they ended up leaving 13 truckloads. What? Now they won't remove them. Will be using Chase Tree service again in the future. Refreshing to see a contractor do what they said were going to do, without any problems. read more

Chase Tree Service is nothing short of incredible. Have you ever seen the Blue Angels Fighter Jets flying in formation? It's like that and only slightly quieter and their equipment is different colors. These guys were up our 170' trese in what seemed like minutes, rigging each branch to float down into a neat pile below, right next to their chipper, and the whole thing was done before lunch. It seemed like they barely had to talk, and just used instinct to drop some huge trees on our property, clean, safe and right where we wanted, and then like a dream, it all disappeared into the chipper and was hauled away. Tom Chase quickly responded to my call and scheduled several days of work to clear the 10 acre parcel that we had recently purchased, adjacent to our home. He visited the job site several times during the week the project lasted to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the work the crew did. Over the years I've had several different tree companies work on our original property and I must say that Tom's crew is hard working, highly skilled, and very effective. They were able to clear a huge amount of brush, enormous dead and dying oak trees, and create a clean fire break, turning what was an overgrown fire hazard into park-like land. Chase Tree Service did an excellent job of cutting down my tall Douglas fir tree. Tom Chase came out quickly, gave me a very reasonable quote for cutting down the tree and removing everything including cleanup. You cannot even tell there was ever a tree there. His climbers and ground people did a great job doing the tree trimming and removal without any issues.
