Paid $750 to have dead seed pods removed from two palm trees. The crew started the job but left it unfinished. Over the following weeks I received repeated promises and multiple rescheduled dates, but the seed pods were never fully removed despite several visits. When I checked, I discovered the company's contractor license is currently suspended. California law prohibits contractors from performing work with a suspended license, so I refused to let them return and demanded a full refund. They have not refunded me as of this date. Extremely poor communication, unreliable service, and operating with a suspended license. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the headache and hire a properly licensed, professional tree service instead. read more

I hired Setare Trees after speaking with three different tree service companies. All three were good, but Setare really stood out. They were quick to schedule an on-site visit and provided a detailed quote. After the initial quote, I asked to split the tree removal work into two batches about two weeks apart and they were very accommodating. In total, they helped remove 11 trees and stumps and also pruned our dwarf fruit trees. Throughout the process, I communicated with Amber and Patricia by phone and text. Horrific experience, a continued stream of confusion and miscommunication. Hired them for defensible space work in Truckee (several thousand dollars). First quote was abnormally low vs others, I asked the owner to check, came back with $1000 more, I had again to ensure a large decaying log was also considered, came back with 3rd quote for more. This was after I gave them the itemized punch list from Truckee fire dept that clearly stated every single item with pictures that had to be handled. Owner and the team on the ground are clearly out of sync and the team is poorly guided and trained. Claimed the work was completed I asked for pictures, owner said "they don't usually do that". I failed the inspection because work that was in the signed agreement with the company was NOT completely done as they claimed. The lack of attention to details is amazing. In the end they had to stash up the green waste for pickup by the city, they threw it randomly, log stumps over 24" in diameter hidden under the pile, trees over 12 foot long lined up with the road when the city had clear published instructions how to make the pile compliant. I kept pinging the company who told me very frustrated that I made them go out several times, like it was me unhappy vs them not being able to deliver what was signed on in the agreement. In the end the city refused to pick up the pile because it's non compliant. I called the owner who tried to gaslight me saying the pile moved itself (lol) also blaming the city for "changing the rules". Owner is completely unaware of the quality of the work their team delivers. In the end I'm looking to pay an additional $1,000 to a different company to pick up the mess after them. Make sure you do NOT pay them in full until you see ALL the work completed. read more

Pretty terrible experience with this company. Was trying to get my tree trimmed before i have a new roof installed ( tree overhangs house). Talked to setare trees and was told they could do it, well that was about a month or more ago. They have blown me off 5 or 6 times, maybe more. Each time saying they can make it again at a later date and then blow me off again. I was very patient with them because the woman who did our estimate was very nice but now my roof is due this weekend and tree still not trimmed and they have blown me off Again. I live in the San Francisco Bay area and just used Setare Trees to trim and remove several pine trees from behind my home. I cannot compliment them enough on the job they performed. Charles was excellent in giving me several options for my job depending on how much I wanted to spend. He showed up at the job and made sure everything was done to perfection. The team was incredible and cleaned up / hauled away all the trees and trimmings. You would not have known they were there with how clean it was - not sign of debris left at all. They were even able to squeeze in cutting down two trees my neighbor wanted to remove, working until dark.
