Fruit wines ala Herb Ertlinger Winery from Schitt's Creek. Most types were sold out and those available were undrinkable.

Nowhere else on Keuka Lake did we see wine being made.

The wine tasting is also $15 for 5 different wines with the gold label, and an extra $3 for the black label wines. Honestly don't remember exactly which types we tried, but they were all really good. We ended up buying a bottle after the tasting and enjoying a picnic of food that we brought outside. The view is absolutely beautiful, and there's plenty of seating for big or small parties. I definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area!

First, the hillside view of Keuka Lake is gorgeous. Second, the tasting room interior has a modern and spacious feel. Third, we both enjoyed the Gewurtztraminer wine and purchased one bottle. Our server was quick to assist with the $12 tasting, but he seemed a bit rushed after a large crowd of visitors entered the facility. On the minus side, the rieslings were a bit flat compared to those of Dr. Konstantin Frank. Also, we made an advance reservation for 2pm, but the facility ignored it since it appeared to have a general "walk-in" policy for everyone. One downside of ignoring advance reservations is that it created a chaotic experience with customer waves. Also, it took about 15 minutes to check-out since a long line formed to exit and pay for the tastings. But overall, this was a good experience.

This really is a treasure!! Allow 3 hours to spend time in the museum, watch a short film, take the tour, do tastings, and shop! It was time we'll spent for our group! Jenny, the manager, was our tour guide today. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and plain old a pleasure to spend time with on our tour. She gave us an in-depth tour of the facility with a lot of history! It gave us a better understanding and appreciation for champagne and sherry, how they are made and their history. I hope sherry has a comeback!! What a cool product with so many uses. The property could use some TLC, new roads, some fresh paint, but I get the idea they're doing what they can to keep the business alive. Our tasting experience, also with Jenny was enlightening! We had their champagne, found them to be wonderful! They also offer wine tastings, and sherry tastings. I'd never had sherry before. But it won't be that last time. I'll bake with it, cook with it, sip it! What a treat! They have an on-site shop where champagne, wine , sherry, and trinkets can be purchased for VERY reasonable prices! Don't miss this treasure!

Their next stop was to Pleasant Valley, so we decided to join them. My mom had made reservations and we arrived and added to them. The tasting was only $5 for each person, which was really nice compared to some of the other wineries who are charging a lot for the wine tastings. We were part of the last tastings of the day, so we didn't have time to look throughout the museum they have, which would have been nice. There is a lot of history there. For this winery, you are seated, and you give the server which wines you want and they bring them back with some crackers, and a piece of brownie. I didn't really care for the wines, I like drier, but my mom and aunt enjoyed it.

At night, most of it is unmarked, and I was almost immediately told to repark into their other parking lot... which was unlit and barely marked, especially in the pitch black. Outside of your car lights, and the lights of the cidery, there was no legitimate lighting outside. Speaking as someone who did not grow up in a rural area, it felt sketch. I was a little disappointed with the lack of music as well, you're just listening to the ambiance of folks talking. If there was music, it was barely discernable. Ciders wise, here are two that you HAVE to try, that aren't sold by the can or anything, the Tart Cherry. (#7) and the Squeeze it Peazy (#9). My friend and I ordered several flights (4 drinks x 4 oz = $8) and enjoyed ourselves. Between the Tart Cherry and the Queen of Tarts, I definitely preferred the cherry. Pizza-wise, I kind of went nuts. However, I was a little surprised, and not exactly in a good way. It's a damn good thing they have the buy 2 get one free on the pizzas on Thursday night. The butternut squash/apple special pie was... sour? I asked the bartender if that was normal, and she said that the one she had wasn't sour, and that was apparently the end of that. Margherita is nothing special, and the pizza dough is a lot closer to a flatbread. Pizzas weren't staggered at all, which sort of seems counter-intuitive, they just brought them all out. The blueberry ricotta on the other hand was quite satisfying, I just wish it didn't cool as quickly. These weren't exactly brought out piping hot, either. Pretzel wise, you'd get better quality at a school cafeteria. The 'beer' cheese was just cheese, and the pretzel was as hard as dirt in winter. I'm 93% certain it was a microwaved SuperPretzel.
