I showed up at 8:35 am even though I didn't need to be there until 930 according to the email. I waited until 10:15 am. No one showed up nor did anyone advise me of any cancellations. What kind of buisness doesn't have the common decency to contact their customers and let them know of cancellations. I'm also in the process of reporting them to the BBB for false advertising. If there were no 10am tours. I shouldn't have been allowed to book it. UPDATE....ON Febuary 10th I was contacted by someone and was informed that I had infact been issued a refund on Febuary 3rd. He apologized for not contacting me sooner. He also explained they didn't usually book a tour for 1. So my advice would be to call and confirm. I also feel like I was only contacted because I reported them to the BBB.

We found out when there was no boat at the Amsterdam dock, that they had changed us to a tour beginning in Bruges beginning that same day. At first they said the mistake was ours, but then admitted they had changed 8 other couples in the same way, and had not informed us. There solution was for us to take a train to Bruges and take the tour, which, due to other travel arrangements, was difficult for us. The boat operator, Boat Bike Tours, was rude as they could be when we tried to discuss our options, insisting they did not really want to discuss our problems and just to get on the train to Bruges. The President of Bike Tours Direct turned out to be of no assistance in the matter. We have not been able to get a refund of our booking fees. Be very careful if you use either of these companies. I recommend not using either.

No better place to open an e-bike shop in downtown Chattanooga near the bridge making it the ideal place to rent a bike to enjoy the day, or the evening. The purpose for my writing today, though, is specifically to relate to others about my experience. I heard about this place from a third party. They were having a Grand Opening event and after work, I decided to go check it. My goal was to gather information to educate myself more on e-bikes with the intent on owning one some day. Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by Adam & since it was the Grand Opening, his family was there as well supporting him. After talking with Adam and later being offered to test ride the bikes around the park, I will say I was not expecting I would get the opportunity to ride and feel what a top tier e-bike is. Despite riding in the cold winds, the bikes felt great, smooth riding. Chattanooga definitely has amazing bike paths to enjoy. Once the weather gets warmer, I will definitely return and do a day rental. The rates [both hour & day] are very affordable. I appreciated that Adam took the time to answer all the questions I had and that I got to test ride the bikes. When it comes to warmer weather days, I can see this business booming. I will definitely be returning as mentioned and I definitely recommend this bike shop to all. Even if you're curious & may not intend to purchase or rent a bike, stop by and learn a little bit about the bikes. You might even get the opportunity to ride one of the bikes.

They supply the yaks, paddles, and life jackets (required). It's a good time. The guides will educated you on the bats, Lake Nickajack, and the history of the area. It's around a 3 mile paddle total at a leisurely pace. The bats. Basically, at bat time, you'll float around near the bat cave until the bats start to sweep out. It's a spectacle. Lots of bats, most of them flying close to the water. Nice. Do it. It's worth it.

Beautiful Sunset Cruise, But Inconsistent Hours at the Gift Shop…read more We had a lovely time aboard the Southern Belle for their Sunset Cruise. When we boarded, we made our way to the middle deck, front of the boat--and found the perfect little spot with a private table and chairs. It felt like our own peaceful corner of the river. No crowd, just a quiet, relaxing ride with amazing views of the Chattanooga skyline and surrounding scenery as the sun set. Absolutely gorgeous. After docking, we decided to eat at the restaurant above the gift shop. It was a great way to end the evening--the food was tasty, and the river views from the deck made it even better. We asked the staff what time the gift shop closed and were told 9:00 PM, so we waited until after dinner to pick up souvenirs. Unfortunately, by the time we finished eating (maybe 10 minutes later), the shop had already closed. Kind of a bummer. Since then, we've tried to return twice while driving through Chattanooga--hoping to grab some mementos--but no one answers the phone, and the gift shop hasn't been open either time. Their posted hours on both the website and Google are clearly off, which has made it pretty frustrating. All in all, we loved the cruise and highly recommend it, especially if you can snag a quiet spot on the deck. Just don't count on the gift shop being open--even if you're told otherwise. Buy your souvenirs before dinner just to be safe!

A nice midday diversion in the heart of Chattanooga…read more NOTE: The day before our trip, the venue called to say there would be 152 middle schoolers on the boat with us. They offered to move us to another date or refund, but we were coming from out of town and had no more availability, so we kept our booking. Location and Parking Located right on the riverfront, parking is available in a paid lot across from the dock. Venue and Atmosphere Enter through the gift shop, which is a replica of the boat. After we checked in and got our tokens and complimentary moon pie, we headed upstairs to the full service restaurant and bar. They have happy hour (BOGO free beers) all day Monday-Friday, which came as a pleasant surprise to us. The charcuterie board was delicious, colorful, and filling as well. All of the restaurant food here can be taken onto the boat, so off we went to enjoy a late lunch on the deck. The middle school group corralled on the first floor, so we enjoyed the second floor completely to ourselves. I must say this was the most welcome surprise of the day. The live narrator was knowledgable with a soothing voice. A few time he had to stop to get the kids under control or remind a chaperone to come ot the deck, but kids will be kids I guess. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient; and we had the sweetest bartender. Food and Beverages We had two Angry Orchard Ciders and a charceuterie board. Everything was delicious! I called ahead and booked a Saturday appointment, and from the get-go, Steven was awesome. Super knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and just had that vibe like he genuinely enjoys what he does. By Monday, I got a call with the repair estimate--accurate to almost the dollar--and the bike was ready exactly when they said it would be. We've never actually met Steven in person, but you can tell when someone takes pride in their work. That definitely came through. We've been brand-loyal to Trek for a while now and have never been disappointed. On the rare occasion something wasn't quite right, it was always handled without hesitation--no hoops, no drama. We originally bought our bikes in Arizona and were looking for a go-to service shop in this area. The Chattanooga location checks all the boxes: great service, solid people, and it's in a cute part of town with plenty to do--makes turning a bike tune-up into a fun day trip. Well, my wife and I walked in and a Project One Domane caught my eye. Jeremy, the store manager, and I talked for about 30-40 months minutes before he geared me up and I took it for a ride. When I came back I made an offer on the bike and then my wife and I went to lunch and returned an hour later. We agreed that I would spend a bunch of money and in return get some level of discount on just about everything I was going to purchase. I found them easy to work with, reasonable throughout the process, and helpful with getting the bike set up and fitted. Whenever I'm in Chattanooga I pop in to say hello and have also purchased gear from their affiliated Atlanta Cycling stores.
