The new solar system was installed and does produce electrical power (all of it goes to Avista). However, there is some problem with the home back up battery which does not connect to the solar power. It has been sitting in my garage for 3 months not hooked to the solar panels not storing energy. I have tried to get this resolved with the installers to no avail and the past month there has been no return of my phone calls or emails. This is an expensive system and would expect better communication about resolving a problem. I would be wary about using this company in the future.
