This is an amusement park, small ,but takes you back to simple times. The park is mainly geared…read moretoward families with smaller children. Free parking and admission. They do have a few adult rides train, gokarts, bumper cars ferris wheeel, and giant slide. Smaller style arcade, clean bathrooms, gift shop, little museum , golf course and food. Reasonable ticket pricing for rides. I remember coming here both as a young child , and adult. I stopped in, honestly after the Beamus 6k, over at Long State Park. The main reason was to just check out park, neat mini golf and get pizza. Yes, I get they were not even quite open an hour when I arrived a little after noon. My reasoning for the 4 star review, no menu or anything listed on pricing for what was sold, or in my case if it was cheese or pepperoni. The young employee, when asked regarding Do you sell pizza, yes, cheese, pepperoni and I asked how much he said $5. A menu of items offered with pricing, would have been helpful.

Perfect if you have any small children, ideally ages six or under. This wouldn't be a good spot if…read moreyou were going with teens or just adults. I had never been here before in in spite of frequenting the Chautauqua area, my whole life. But, I finally had an occasion because my tiny niece was the perfect age for this place. There were a ton of rides that were perfect for her as a three year-old. Also, they had rides that were good for ages 4 to 6 as well. She really enjoyed the little roller coaster. Watch out that it is actually a little rough for the adults to ride on because it does jerk a little. Also, there were some really cute little boat rides, including one that took took the children around in a circle. There was very little that she was too small to ride on, so it was completely fantastic. Also, we were able to get her a wristband that gave her all inclusive access to rides. For a few rides that do require adult accompaniment for littles, the adult gets to ride free. There's a food spot towards the bottom of the hill and I highly recommend it. I was able to get platters of fries and corn, dogs and pizza, for not too much money. This is a clutch when it came to reducing the chance of overstimulated little kid meltdowns. Also, it was very sunny, and there was very little shade, so bring the sunscreen. Also, they have free boat parking. So, boating over and walking in is a great option if you happen to have or be renting a boat.

Reducing 1-star due to recent visit (2 years since last)…read more We went on a Friday, expecting reduced crowd volume (non-US holiday). Crowd volume still seemed heavy, but manageable. What wasn't manageable was their processing of entrees to get in. They had a single station to process everyone, and the payment system was taking forever. We arrived at 10am when the pool opened, and didn't actually get in until 11am. A full hour wait is pretty outrageous. Having a second payment station would have made it much quicker. Of course you can expect lower food quality at these types of places, but this was still disappointing. Frozen-pizza quality pizza, for more than a legit pizza, and then they overcooked it on top of that. The waterpark itself was still fun, but eventually our kids will outgrow it. Still good for small kids though (ages 2-8).

It felt like a tropical resort in Ontario. The temperature outside was about 5 degrees Celsius but…read moreyou couldn't tell inside and you really didn't need to leave for any reason (unless you wanted to). Room: Comfortable for 4 people, including an infant. They happily supplied a crib but you can't reserve it ahead of time. You had to request it when you check-in. They will then deliver it to your room within 10 minutes and leave it to you to set it up. Yes, you can hear tons of noise but it's a family resort. We had a technical malfunction during our stay with the door and they were quick to repair it and offering us a different room if we wanted (which we declined). The cable in the room is WEIRD! I wish they had supplied an outline of the stations because it wasn't obvious where to find what. Otherwise, room was clean and comfortable and loved having direct access to the parking lot as well as the hotel. Water park: Tons of fun for young kids! Lots of life jackets for young swimmers. Lifeguards appeared very attentive and were quickly stopping any unruly behaviour. It was nice and warm inside the park and they have a shop that sells anything you might have forgotten...except swim diapers, they don't sell those! Arcade: Everything was working when we were there and lots of fun for the kids. Lots of options for prizes as well. The oasis poolside snack bar, which is fully licensed, is my new favourite place. I made no less than 8 trips there during my stay. Their mocktails and cocktails were delicious. Food was fresh and 4 flavours of dippin' dots as well. The only breakfast option is a paid all-you-can-eat buffet. $10 for kids and $20 for adults. This part was frustrating as my child was sick most of the weekend and if you just wanted a cup of juice you were stuck. Also, I was never hungry enough to warrant the adult buffet price. I just wanted coffee... For those who only want a cup of coffee in the morning: they do offer complimentary coffee and tea to the room or you can go to the lobby and pay $2.80 for a delicious cup of coffee that comes out of a preset machine. After my first cup, that became my second favourite part of the hotel (after the Oasis snack bar). The one downside? The front desk staff! On Saturday morning, while I was enjoying the coffee described above, I saw at least 3 different parties at the desk asking to speak to management for various issues. On our checkout day, I wanted to delay our checkout as I had 2 sick children and we had an hour before an important meeting. My son just wanted to stay in bed while we waited. Upon asking the front desk if we could delay our checkout I heard a curt "no" on the phone before they hung up. Instead he used the little energy he had, to walk around the arcade for the hour. It wouldn't deter me from staying there again but just wanted to let others know, they aren't flexible on their policies. Overall, it was an amazing weekend away! I would definitely stay there again!
