I told then to pack furniture before boxes and they didn't listen and left out furniture and packed all boxes. My wife likes to move, I think she grew up a viking, pillaging from town to town. It's something that could possibly make our marriage difficult because I absolutely hate it with all my being. She also seems to like renting places that are 2nd floor and up. After moving her for a 4th time since we started going out, this last time I got smart and explored my options. I couldn't call my friends again to help, could I? No I like them too much to drag them into my problem! I called Chaz & Crew and three other places. Chaz & Crew called back that afternoon and their office helper was super friendly and helpful. Gave me a great price and explained how their service works. The "Crew" showed up right on time and worked hard, it was a hot day and they busted their tails. They had us out of a two bedroom apartment with a perfectly packed truck in an hour and a half! They followed along in their own car to the new place, unpacked the truck, got the stuff in our new place in another hour and a half. I can't even tell you how much we appreciate everything they did for us in so short a time... on a 90 degree day! These guys are the best we've had, providing the most helpful service during our recent moving experience! The office communicated very well about setting up a new appointment after we had to postpone our first one. They were right on time on the move in day. I didn't want to have to write this review, but after trying to work this out with the owner directly and getting the runaround, I feel it's necessary in an effort to save others the trouble. We hired Chaz and Crew to move us on June 2, 2018. In the process, they significantly damaged our headboard while getting it stuck in our stairwell. The headboard cannot be fixed, as it was custom made, and the fabric is no longer available. We will have to replace it. I also note that the headboard was moved into the house through the same stairwell without incident 5 years ago by a different moving company. I contacted Chaz and Crew to discuss this issue and they requested a receipt for the damaged item, as well as photos of the damage, which I sent. I have now heard nothing in response, despite two follow up phone calls. This is very disappointing. After paying almost $1000 to Chaz and Crew, plus the $1500 we are out, given the irreparable damage to the headboard, this move cost us almost $2500...and that's not even accounting for all the damage they did to our floors, ceiling, and walls during the move, which we had to repair. What's worse, we only had the movers for 5 hours, which meant that they didn't even finish the move and my husband and father had to move the rest of our things on their own after Chaz and Crew left. I intended to settle this privately and I had no intention of making this situation public, but the lack of response and failure of Chaz and Crew to make any effort to make this right has left me no choice. Simply put, I'm incredibly disappointed and would recommend that anyone looking for a moving company look elsewhere. ***UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review, I received a call from a representative of Chaz and Crew and I believe this situation has now been resolved. read more

These guys were awesome. If yelp was based on 100 stars they would get them all. Today my wife & I moved from a large 3-floor house with endless storage space into a 2-bedroom apartment with terrifyingly limited space. Chaz & Crew showed up right on time and worked carefully and efficiently. Made sure we got everything in the right spot. Extremely helpful, timely, and all around solid guys. They have a thorough system in place that keeps it all going along smoothly. They insisted on doing all the lifting and making sure we got what we paid for. It was my first time using a professional mover service, and it was a very pleasant experience. - They came before time. And brought two extra members of their team along. - Were very friendly (I'd love to get a beer with them kind of friendly), courteous, careful with our stuff, and detail oriented. Even after a good three or four months, I still remember Chaz and crew. These guys are prepared for anything. They're friendly, nice, honest and hard working. There's nothing bad or wrong I could say about them. They really helped me in my time of need. If your planning a move, rent your own uhaul truck and hire Chaz for the labor. Let me first say that I tried to speak with the "office" regarding my issue and they couldn't bother calling me back. They ruined our belongings. We hired this company to pack our POD prior to storing and moving our home. We expertly packed our boxes, measured the space, purchased numerous moving blankets, and tie down straps. They elected to not use moving blankets and left them laying on the floor and did not use the tie down straps pre connected to the container. They ensured us that they did. They packed metal legs with screws on our sofa, left picture frames marked fragile on the bottom to support the load, damaged tables, and other belongings. Our leather sectional sofa is ruined there and dents all over and the corner looks like a huge chunk was taken out. The only reason more wasn't damaged was due to our anal retentive packing inside the boxes. What's more is that they didn't fully utilize the POD because of the way it was packed. Do not use these guys. College Hunks gave me a discount when they unloaded our POD because they felt bad that it was so poorly packed. read more

loved the guys. so much we called them back for a second job, The first time they helped lift a washer and dryer to the second floor through the windows! The second time, they helped my mom move. Not quite good experience for me. I will provide you facts and let you decide if you want to ask them to help move. I clearly color labeled all my boxes in advance but they did not put the boxes into the right room. They even put the outdoor furnitures/boxes indoor. For those boxes that are in the right room, they are randomly put next to the entrance of each room instead of being put close to the walls(they just were not willing to put them well). They did not care about where's the top of my box (I have some boxes that were put upside down) and the boxes labeled with fragile. For now, I have at least two cups broken and at least three new purchased moving boxes broken after moving. My shelf was damaged after moving process. In short, they are super rush loading and un-loading your stuff and do not carefully treat your belongings. Yes, they did their best to get their work done in a short time but you will learn how many damages caused by them when unpacking the boxes and feel as sad as I do. Update on 2/3/2017: I saw the reply comment from the company on 2/3/2017(please see below) and I appreciate the quick reply. Yes, I am not the person that apply for the moving service and that's why you couldn't find my name on your database. However, I was there with my family members during the moving process. I don't ask for the compensation for my loss while moving (because the memory along with the broken cups and other stuff will not comeback anymore) but I appreciate the follow up comments and the compensation that the company was planning to apply. We used Chaz and Crew to move down the street (no moving vehicle needed), so they were the perfect service for us! The guys showed up on time and even gave us a twenty minute courtesy call ahead of time. They were so polite and did not complain once when I told them we had to go up four flights of steps with no elevator available. These people and this organization were fantastic! We recently used Pods to move from central PA to NJ, and chose Chaz and Crew to move our pod contents largely based on customer reviews. They were an exceptional choice! We had an 18' Pod, packed to the gills, and the four gentlemen scheduled for our move (their names are Herb, Joe, Terrell and Corey - ask for them and I can almost guarantee a great experience) had it unloaded in 44 minutes, including bed building, some unwrapping, and repositioning when we changed our minds about furniture location. How could they move so fast and still protect our furniture and walls? They just started working and never slowed down, never stopped, and never carried one box when they could safely carry two or three. (These are very big, strong, guys) They were polite, professional, fast, careful, and actually a lot of fun. I'm using the same guys for my next pod delivery, next week. They don't even deserve one star. Had no clue how to pack a truck. Broke numerous family heirlooms. Was told to pack tables upside down, they packed on their legs and packed heavy stuff on top, broke legs of 3 different antique pieces of furniture. Packed light boxes on bottom, heavier boxes on top. We provided moving pads and had 12 left over, they didn't use, packed wood on wood, every piece is scratched or broken. Don't use these people ever!!!!! Even without packing experience, common sense would have prevented most of this, which apparently was in short supply, 5 guys and not one f them knew what they were doing!!! This moving company was the worst! We had a huge freight truck and not that much stuff and they managed to screw it up and did not make good use of the space. To make matters worse, they told me before hand they could dissamble a pool table and then when they got there, they changed their story and waited until qthe end of the move to say they could not move the pool table. This was a clear bait and switch and a scam. It was 5 guys and they were not impressive at all. Could have had better luck just pulling random guys off the street! They arrived 3 hours late and had no moving equipment with them (dollys, hand trucks, etc.) Several peices of furniture were severely damaged as they had been thrown in a pile in the truck. I wish I had paid more for a better company! The money I saved is now going into replacing my damaged furniture. I am leaving a review here because I honestly can not get Chaz and Crew to return a phone call or accept responsibility for the awful job they did moving my family and I. My move was literally 2 months ago. I contacted them 2 days after the move to let them know of some damaged items. I spoke with Herb, who asked me to make a list and we would work to get the situation resolved. Well he told me that he was turning my information over to their insurance company and I got a quick response from someone- and then that guy disappeared. I waited a few days, contacted him 2x by email and 2x by phone and then about 2 weeks later I get an email from someone else stating that the original guy was out "with a really bad hand injury". I tried responding directly to that email and it bounces back--- more than once. I have called the number for the insurance company multiple times and it always goes to a voicemail and I never get a return phone call. Since last Friday (3/10/17) I have called Chaz and Crew at the number I have and the answering machine comes on, I keep leaving messages but my phone calls are never returned. I find this to be so unprofessional and it is ridiculous. I chose this company because they seemed great to deal with over the phone. I am so sorry that I made this mistake. I have been paying for it for 2 months. I have damaged furniture. I have made countless phone calls to them. I am going to look into my options and contact the police about possible fraud. I too can attest like another review I read that the guys put boxes in the incorrect rooms, put kitchen boxes in the upstairs bedrooms, bedroom boxes in he basement, etc. I was present and so was my husband for the move. My suggestion- is don't hire them. Learn from my mistake and hire a much better more reputable company. I have moved many times in my life and this has to be the worst experience ever! read more
