Pollo Centro you have been CONSISTENT in every way...quality, flavor, portions, pricing, service & cleanliness. I'm a creature of habit so I've only ever had the fried chicken with rice & beans but the last two times, I went with the 1/2 grill chicken & yellow rice (yellow rice with peas to be exact). Good food, but don't go too late at the end of the day because they aren't as fresh but all in all the food was fantastic

Lady in the front was so sweet, I didnt catch her name, took the time to explain to us any questions we had with items displayed at the place. Food and service were bomb so no complaints. Not pictured : tres leches cake and chicken empanadas which were my favorite things there besides the pork that I snapped a pic of. Tried it the first day open absolutely amazing, same quality everytime I've been back. Fried chicken is super crispy, great spice but not spicy and the chicken is super moist. The grilled chicken even better than the fried! My favorite is the pastillitos, like chicken empanadas. Totally reminds me of "fast food" in Barbados. They get tres leches cake from a bakery near their other locations in Lawrence, it's amazing. Highly recommend, way better than KFC or Popeyes read more

I hadn't been here before So I got a combination of different items to share with my family. I got a grilled half chicken, one chicken empanada and a chicken tender and fries meal. The grilled chicken was delicious the marinade was so good and it was cooked well and was very juicy. The chicken tenders were delicious and the french fries were amazing - super crunchy even though I had to drive 15 minutes home they made it and were warm and crunchy. The chicken empanada I shared with my son. I got one bite he got the rest - it was amazing. Nice job and friendly staff I will definitely be back. read more

I was hoping this place would be amazing as it's so close to home.. It's not! Let's start with the terrible attitude of one of the staff. I have a significant food allergy and was actually quite nervous as she had no idea what flour is. No one seemed to understand gluten allergy, even though there is a sign to disclose any food allergies. This is very unsafe. She kept calling me crazy to the other staff in Spanish, like I did not understand what she was saying. One of the other employees even apologized for her disrespect. I simply wanted to make sure there was no flour in certain items. For the food: it was all sitting in steam table pans as like in a buffet. The grilled chicken and tostones were severely dry to a point actually dipped my chicken in ketchup!! I fed the tostones to my dog, who then went and drank water . I was told they do not have rice and beans, but then was told they have rice with either veggies or beans??? So rice and beans were very dry, some of it was even crunchy .. that will go to the dogs as well. We ordered ribs, which were also very dry and over priced. We did also buy a flan to share, it was not bad.. Miranda bread's flan is much better.. Although I can't have fried chicken, I recommend going the extra 20 feet down the street to Popeyes! read more

I tried this restaurant for the first time and it did not disappoint. I was greeted as soon as I entered and my order was quick to come out. The restaurant was clean and the food on display looked fresh and appetizing. I ordered the # 9 family meal and it was plenty of food for my family of five. The chicken was moist and flavorful it is grilled and tastes excellent. The white rice was cooked perfectly, the pink beans were flavorful as well, and the maduros were perfectly sweet and fried; tastes like home. The food portion for the price is a great deal considering we have delicious leftovers. read more

Went to check this place out today. My friend from work told me about it. It's a little unorganized when it comes to placing your order,but hopefully the owner gets that situation fixed and organized.The fried chicken taste good and is definitely seasoned better than Crown fried chicken. We wanted seasoned yellow spanish rice but they only had white rice. So we got chicken and a few other sides but went to another latin restaurant for yellow rice.Hopefully they keep up on the yellow rice next time we come through, because we really wanted to try the spanish yellow rice here. Oh and by the way the chicken empanadas were really seasoned well,straight fire bussin with tasty flavor. We were so disappointed we didn't order more. We got back to the crib and bit in the chicken empanadas Bam!!! Straight fire! All around this places food is good and tasty.
