Ok, so in a very unusual way I stumbled upon cheap goods because I attended an 8yr Olds BMX party at a local track.. (mind you I am 43yrs old) after riding this track with these children I found I am just not a kid anymore.. long gone are the days of walking into a bike shop and if it said BMX or racing, everything fit.. I decided I was going to rebuild the bmx bike my parents gave to the scrap metal collectors after I moved away.. a GT mach 1.. (1982) .. found the frame and started my project... learning that most of all that old stuff cost a fortune. Or is no longer available... cheap goods took the time to explain to me how out of date all that stuff was.. however did steer me in the right direction.. I have since completed my project in addition I restored 2 "PK Rippers" as well. Cheap goods helped me relive some kind of childhood thing that I can't explain. The guy that works here is rude. I work two doors down from this place. I buy and restore very very expensive European sports cars. I make a decent living. I volunteer in my spare time for an organization that helps veterans with PTSD and other mental health disorders. We are always looking for discarded bicycle chains and used parts which are recycled and repurposed. The vets make some fun and therapeutic widgets with these parts. Not only is the end product beneficial but the act of making them is therapeutic as well. I stopped by this place to ask if he might be willing to save used chains for me which I could pick up now and then. Otherwise the chains go to the dump. He looked down his nose at me and said no he doesn't have any. I asked if I could buy a new one. His answer was it won't fit my bike and I would have to by two. First off I don't own a bike, second he is making assumptions perhaps about the way I was dressed gruffy and dirty from work. He was extremely dismissive of me. I would have advertised his business, given him sponsor kudos in our nonprofit advertising and asked him to join us at fund raising events with his wares. He blew that opportunity. Don't waste your time with this jerk. Spend your money someplace else. If you are another bike shop reading this, contact me and for a few used bike chains now and then we can do some good for vets. read more

He suggested I not get the bike I was asking about after finding out more about my riding style and history and I couldn't be happier with my purchase from them. I wanted a 22 inch S&M Holmes and told Gabe I would be doing flatland on it. He told me to hold off on my order and he would take a 22 inch out for a spin in his parking lot since he rides flatland too. I purchased a 2014 Fit Bike Co Benny Signature Bike from Bike Craze in Anaheim on Friday, turns out I rode it for literally 20 mins. Chain came undone very loose handlebars needed to be tightened. The bike needed adjustments and customer service I received from Bike Craze wasn't happy. I searched bmx on google and Cheap Goods Bmx came up I'd thought I would call to ask how much for an adjustment on my bike I received on friday he said it would be very inexpensive close to $10 and to come on in. I came on in acting like a customer at first. He was busy setting up a customer with his bike setup but was at the same time acknowlegding me asking me questions getting to know me which threw me off because usually In would get asked questions for them to sell me items before finding what my reason to come in for and etc. I then explained to him about my new bmx bike. Turns out the other shop Bike Craze setup my pegs from the rear & front incorrectly and the chain needed to be fixed.
