However, once we applied for a loan we immediately got a "pre-approved" for a loan. We were told that a lender would be in touch with us to gather income verification documents and sign paperwork. This turned out to be patently false. The loan was not pre-approved at all, but rather "pre-qualified." What's more is that we then got three more referrals to other lenders. This means that 36monthloans.com is not a loan company at all, but rather a lead referral site which generates its revenue from "leads" sent to loan companies. The fake pre-approval information is just an enticement to get us to actually do the application and thus generate a payment for 9Global.com, the owner of 36MonthLoans.com. Hope this notice warns other people away from this scam.

Came on a weekday around noon and there's 6 people waiting in front of me and one teller. If you want to wait 45 mins+ for a transaction for your own bank account then come to this branch. I figured people have complain so they put chairs for people to sit while waiting in line. I was on the chair for 15 mins and gave up as that one teller was still helping that first customer in line. I've worked in this industry before. I know what the system looks like. Mistakes happen, sure, but the attitude is equally important. Han should have came clean immediately on the phone, apologized, and asked if I was available any time this week to come in instead of trying to pressure me to come in immediately regardless of my schedule or obligations. After qualifying for the loan I marched straight to the dealership to buy my very first new (and it only took 20 years). After choosing the options, haggling over the warrant and settling on the price, I had to speak with the financing guy. I told him I already had a loan. He asked me about the APR and offered a lower rate. I declined, saying I was all set. I then decided to go back to Monterra (SMCU at the time) and ask the loan officer if he would match the rate offered by the dealership. he did. WOOOOH!!!! I have been a member ever since. Ikar explained very well how it worked and Ali Barakat helped us review the history of my car loan. It ended up giving me a better deal and the car loan insurance that I needed. Plus factor was increasing my cc credit line that I can use internationally without a fee for having a good credit score. Ali is so nice and very friendly. I was there to resolve a situation with my mother's account. Needless to say, he was very helpful, knowledgeable and compassionate. What I thought would be a long process, he cleared up the situation rather quickly so my mother did not have to be in the bank for a very long time. He referred me to the teller (Asian gal - sorry I didn't get her name). She in turn was very helpful in helping me complete my transaction, even escorting me to the ATM machine outside to be sure the transfer went through without any hitches. I don't think I would have received the same service in the first bank I went to. Thank you to Geoffrey and the teller for a pleasant experience!

With Geoffrey Manalo this kind of deceiving employee, no wonder when I googled on the web, I found "New York State Attorney General Sues Citibank for Failing to Protect and Reimburse Victims". Citibank is not a safe place to keep your money!! And avoid Geoffrey Manalo to handle your account.
