Rudest triage person (middle-aged white woman wearing glasses - don't know her name) at the entrance. I walked in looking to do my international drivers permit. She asked "what's your name?" I said "Roseanne, it's R-O-S" and she cuts me off and goes "I KNOW HOW TO SPELL YOUR NAME" Then she goes "did you bring the printed application form?" I said "oh no, sorry I didn't know i had to bring it." She goes "it's ok we have it but you only need to say YES or NO. So is it a YES or NO?" with a tone. I was stumped and said "No..." she goes, "did you bring 2 passport photos?" I said "no, I talked to someone via email and they said you guys offer passport photo services" and she goes "YOU ONLY NEED TO SAY YES OR NO". I blinked at her, confused, because I obviously said & meant no. Then she goes "So is it YES OR NO". I said "NO obviously, and you understand English, you don't need to be so rude" and grabbed the paper and walked away. I felt like complaining to her supervisor but didn't have the energy after a long work day. Hence, this review. p/s: she was extremely nice to the person before me, so I don't know if she is just picking/choosing who she's being rude to. Which made me feel singled out as a person. So I hardly come to this AAA location as most things can be done online/virtually. But I found myself needing to get some DMV services plus policy change requests completed recently. One of the federal credit union auto lenders gave me a tip to swing by my local AAA branch so I won't need to line up at the DMV, and I took the advice. I wasn't sure if I needed to schedule an appointment to go in but the next available date/time was next week. So I tested my chances and decided to do a walk-in. Writing this review after walking out because I was so stunned and impressed at the quality of service this branch's employees offer to AAA members. First, I was greeted by the front desk with questions about what I needed. Next, I was sitting on a waiting area similar to how DMV was set up with window/service numbers listed on the ceiling. It was barely any wait and I was helped by this very kind staff, Peter, who as such an expert in the car trade in/purchase/title replacement process. He patiently outlined the necessary timeline and steps necessary for me to complete my request and even highlighted areas on the form that I had to complete. I get it, online DMV has these forms as well but they're all so confusing with PDF format, needing to be printed, then dropped off or mailed. Having a real person clearly explain what's needed to be filled on the form, where to submit it, and how long to expect for the next step was soooo lovely. The staff member next to him helping another AAA member was also so friendly and kind. Staff here deliver excellent service with a smile! I commend this branch and the management team who upholds such high standards in an industry where customers can get so easily lost in the navigation of complicated processes. They keep things simple, easy to understand, and done with care. He transferred me to another insurance colleague of his around the corner as I had a policy question. This very helpful employee named Camille was just as friendly and helpful! When I explained my story, she knew exactly how to rectify it. The communication was clear, detailed, and took it another step to print me a copy of what was discussed so there's no confusion. Absolute con artist they don't tell you how their membership and their insurance can't be canceled at once. They are super vague/rude the only person helpful enough was call operator (Hailey) shout out Hailey for actually telling me what happened and canceling my plan. They try to milk you for every dollar they can before you leave their insurance! I had good service when I came here several years ago for other services, I was quite disappointed recently when I had been calling this branch and leaving messages over a period of 2 weeks to request a car seat inspection, and I kept getting told that the car seat inspector would call me back to get something scheduled. I never heard back after several attempts calling this branch, and I just ended up scheduling a car seat inspection somewhere else. Having AAA roadside is a huge help. Aside from discounts at hotels, going to branches like this to register your vehicle is a huge time saver. The people that work here are super nice and very helpful. They provide you with information of promtions they have going on and so much more. The gentleman that helped us was even telling us that they offer vacation packages, cruises, maps, and so much more. The service he had provided made the experience easy and seamless. The office itself is very convenient. I really like being able to take care of DMV issues, even on Saturdays. But this review is for one specific agent. I won't specify a name initially on this review, but this is the situation: My mom's building in SF was covered by a different insurance company, who decided to pull out of California, which left us in a bind. I reached out to this agent and was told that my mom would need an auto policy with AAA in order to be eligible for coverage. My mom is 92 so she doesn't drive, but I have AAA for my auto and home. This agent told me that if I were able to get my name on my mom's deed, I could get a quote. After months of working with an estate attorney, I finally got my name on the deed. I reached back out to this agent and gave them the information they needed. Then I stopped hearing back. I left voicemails and sent emails over the last 2 weeks saying that the current coverage was ending soon. All I needed was some kind of acknowledgement or confirmation that the agent was still working on my request. No phone call, no email. Not even to tell me that they didn't have time or even want to help me. SUPER FRUSTRATING! read more

This is really the only branch left for me to visit as the San Mateo one is close down, so been here probably 5-6 times in the last few years. We received a letter threatening to cancel our policy because our home showed signs of "deferred maintenance" and the vehicles parked IN our driveway were a liability. This was my first time going in and I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I came in as a new customer not really knowing much all I knew was that I needed to renew my insurance and Becky delivered that service better than any other time I had tried to call and get help. She kept it short and sweet and sent me over to Mario on the DMV side and LET ME TELL YOU this was the fastest service I ever got through when dealing with the DMV I was literally in and out within 30 minutes!! Everybody in there just woke up and chose positivity because I was even greeted by another worker named Cori (I hope I spelled it right). Unprofessional and unintelligent staff. They do NOT know what state we are in. The manager also does not know this is CALIFORNIA. Went in for passport services as advertised online. It states AAA Premium members get photos for FREE. But, when I came into the office, they claimed that no AAA branches provide passport services at all. I show they/them the information online from the website and the manager started screaming that this is a different state. The website clearly states CALIFORNIA and this is the state we live in. They asked me where it says that as I was showing my phone and I literally told her on the screen. The manager didn't even walk over or help. Just screamed it over a wall like a banshee! Then they charged me $9 for this FREE service. Never did the processing or application or make copies as claimed online. The website even stated that AAA provides expedited services. THEY WERE ALL TOO LAZY to do anything. They even kept rushing me to pay as I was already sitting right in front of the pay machine. I was just putting in the code for Apple Pay on my phone and a 3rd person walked up rushing me to pay saying just to hurry up and tap. The lack of professionalism is RIDICULOUS. This location is always too busy and poorly allocates their staff. Can show up at 9am on a weekday and there's already a line and 1 hour wait. I visit for DMV services and they really need to add a second window. It's obvious that it is the most frequently used service at this location, the DMV line is out the door by 9am on any weekday, and their little insurance line is empty. I visit the Redwood City location - have never waited more than 10m there. Not sure what's going on with the Daly City AAA logistics, but they could use some work. AAA Daly City manager you should contact your peers across the bay and figure this out. Add another DMV window to your location, look at where your location derives most of its revenue and staff accordingly. I refuse to visit this AAA location because of the awful wait. Highly suggest going to another one IF you require DMV services. read more

This review is on their customer service. I was here to get my disability placard after my foot surgery. They were actually really helpful and brought out an extra chair for me to sit while I waited. It was really difficult for me to wait with my heavy cast while holding onto my crutches. One lady also walked me out to my car to make sure I was fine. read more

It's conveniently located right off the freeway, with tons of parking, and the staff are all experienced and go the extra mile to take care of your needs. Experience level of the main DMV folks there is decades, so they are able to knock out even a difficult registration situation with ease...always have great results there, including my need to register two cars at the same time when I was there at my last visit.
