I give two stars because I was helped in the past with this loans, back in the beginning of 2023. I was able to pay off my loans in the 6 payments and it was great. I just recently took out a couple loans and the daily interest was putting me in a hole that I would never be able to pay off at that rate. it was $2 a day in interest then went to $3 as the amount went up. so as I had paid $140 toward this, it was like I only paid $60. didn't even get the chance to get paid to pay it. so I would recommend reading the contract and interest rates carefully even in a time of need. Keeping you savings money "weath account) applying most of your payment towards your savings instead of towards the loan. The loan takes forever to pay off. There's a woman who works in the Tropicana location named Anna. What really needs to improve is her attitude and her customer service skills. She had none. She never once cracked a smile and she gives you this glaring look as though you're either stupid or you're a burden on her that's the way she came across and it made me feel very uncomfortable. I came real close to walking out, but I bit my lip and managed to get through it. She's very unfriendly. Not sure why she's in this line of work. It was like pulling teeth to get her to do anything for me and then at the end, she told me to have the most wonderful day with a very sarcastic tone. I just shook my head and walked out. Try to avoid her at all costs. The one representative who was so very friendly was Brittany and I was hoping she was there today, but she wasn't. So my husband came in for a loan and it went so smoothly that I came in for one too. I needed a loan and wanted to go somewhere else, but he told me how good the service was so I came in after him. Leanna and Mia are both really nice. Leanna is so adorable to me omg. She's always really helpful. I've called a few times for a few questions and she's even nice on the phone. One of the worst places to borrow from. I personally called and asked if I could pay off two of my loans and RE borrow and just pay on one loan and was told that I could, went in to pay both loans off and was told the system generated a denial letter and I could no longer borrow anything. So I asked to refund my payoff and I'll just make my biweekly payments and they said they would request refund back to my bank but no receipt or letter of refund could be provided to me except I would have to wait for the reimbursement and my bank statement showing it was refunded. The staff at is location have always been good to me. I have no issues with the staff. My issue is with the way the company handles people during a crisis. While other businesses are extending relief to their clientele during these difficult times, Cash 1 is sending people's accounts to collections. Their hardship program was garbage, I submitted the necessary documentation was "approved for a lower payment" and had the regular payment on top of the hardship payment deducted. After calling the company for an explanation I was told they would reverse the duplicate charge. They reversed the lower payment, so there was really no point in going through the process of setting up a hardship plan. I am so happy they deducted the last money they'll ever get from me today! This place is terrible. My wife took out a loan inn 2012 got laid off in 2014 never missed a payment the whole time but when she got laid off she explained to them the situation. We moved out of town for a while and moved back. She forgot that she owed this they never made contact with her but now 6 years later today a knock on her door and was handed a piece of paper that she has to appear in court in May. They could have contacted her to let her know that she still owed it but the cowards have to send her to court. I would not recommend anyone deal with this terrible company and if you need a personal loan there are many places in town better than this. The leadership for this company is terrible and out of all of this right in the middle of the big virus scare where everyone is getting laid off.
